Jordan you are the man and all your builds are unique and amazing brother!!! Doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. You love your cars and that’s all that matters. I’ve been a fan for more than 5 years and love every single video you and your dad put out. Your guys channel is honestly one of the very very few great ones on UA-cam theses days. No fancy bs you see everywhere else. Just pure fun. Thanks for all you guys do. 👍🏻👋🏻
LOVE LOVE LOVE this build!!! I am currently working on 70 GTO rat rod and building it how I want. This is exactly the inspiration I needed today. Thanks!
Jordan, some people will say it's ruined, but to me, it's perfect. I've been following this build ever since you bought it, and I still love this very day, along with the Trans Am, your Muscle Truck, and even if it's a longer progress, the '69 GTO. Keep doing what you do best, man, build what's your and not worry about and be awesome.
That car has turned Amazing, I've been watching since the early days of the Trans AM, i grew up working on dirt bikes and reading 4 wheel and Offroad Magazine and later Hot Rod, I bought and sold a few trucks after i got my license, and I recently turned 26 and pulled the trigger on my first real Muscle Car, a 68 Coronet 500, 2 door hardtop roller with no drivetrain and interior, just a blank slate, I've been thinking of starting a channel to document my build and maybe one day make it to Hot Rod Powertour, thank you for the great videos from your fan in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦
A '68 Coronet 500 is an awesome first muscle car. You should definitely film the project as you go. If nothing else, you'll like having those videos later to look back on. Good luck with it!... Oh, and thank you for watching, I really appreciate the support!
I live in Illinois as well and maybe I'll see you around sometime. I'm more of the purest when it comes to classic cars, or I have the Jay Leno philosophy to classic car restoration, but we have to remember and realize that these classic cars are extensions of our own individual personalities. We, car crazy folks, consider them works of art, or we transform them into works of art, and to that account we are reminded that all art is subjective. It's "not ruined" if it brings you joy. It's a masterpiece! 😊
I’ve been working on my 70 gto for 7 years and always wanted to keep it all Pontiac but watching over the years I think I’m convinced ls is the way to go. Love your videos keep them coming
We do miss the sound of that big Pontiac, but it is faster and more reliable now. It can actually be pretty docile when you keep it out of boost too. It could actually be daily driven.
@@RamblinAround no doubt. If you want fast and reliable, the boosted LS is the new Meta. Building anything else is just doing something to be different at this point. The car is awesome, that turbo sounds like a damn jet through the intake!
Well said! I feel the same way about my 1971 Lemans GT-37. It will be 6.2L and 4L80E swapped. I had the 400 Poncho in before. But I am building it to my tastes, not anyone else's. Nice 68 by the way!
All that tire smoke is hard on that Illinois corn...lol! I have a GTO as well and have really enjoyed watching the progress of your build. You go brother!
I'm also in Illinois up towards Chicago a little town called Lansing Illinois and I totally get where you're coming from I've been watching you for a minute now you're kicking some ass out there enjoy what you do because if you don't you're doing it for somebody else and what fun is that
I am from Il. The military took me to SC and around the world. I had a 1968 GTO / 400 / 4spd / Optional hood tach. Loved the car. Original vinyl top and repainted Ford Flame red. Kick myself for selling it.
Jordan, I needed this. I’ve been really frustrated with my recent ‘00 Z28 build. Seems like every little thing it needed turns into something bigger and now the summer is over and I have driven it once. This motivates me to get back to it and finish it. P.S. I love the “color” and engine choice. It’s perfect.
Man, I was in the same situation just a little while ago. I had the transmission in and out four times before it was right. I was about to give up for a while. You just have to keep pushing though, it's worth it when it's done and you're driving it around. Good luck with your build!
Top notch Video Better than those TV shows I enjoy watching old cars being brought back to life and it is Great to see them built the way you want it not just another one that looks like the rest
I like you 68 GTO !!! I like the turbo LS power plant to ! I am in the process of doing the same thing to my 81 TA Daytona 500 pace car that currently has a 461 Pontiac engine in it. My brother has a 76 TA LS turbo with 938 rwhp it’s on my channel. Cant go wrong with a turbo LS and I know you are winning on the interstate. I am going with either a 4.8 or 5.3 LS with a turbo. Love you build on the GTO. I remember when you went the Pontiac 461 route and truly understand why you went LS. 💪🏻👍
I love the old GTO'S !! turbo or not.... it's your car, Jordan - and it looks great and is fast. ! Great job on all the upgrades. One of the best channels on y.tube !
Early subscriber here, and fellow GTO owner, I’m very happy that you’ve never put a deck lid spoiler on it. So many people put one on a 68 and it’s just tacky. I dig your vibe dude. Even if it’s not pure Pontiac.
I think if I did another LS swap, I would probably do a bigger cammed naturally aspirated build, or maybe an LSA supercharger if I could afford it. The turbo definitely made my car plenty quick, but I miss the sound of a big cammed NA motor. The cammed 6.0 in my C10 sounds much better to me. Good luck with your Lemans!
@@RamblinAround I do like the sound of my lunati cammed 400. It probably has 300 hp, but with a 3500 stall, 3.42 gears, decent suspension and drag tires, it works ok.
