Congratulations on a great build ! Looks like you did it all in your garage ! Many are STARTED that way but not many FINISHED ! ( Ha! ) That Goat is really gonna be a STAR at that Grandson's H.S. Graduation ! Well done ! The Pontiac Gods are proud of you and so am I !!! Ed in Michigan
Beautiful goat! I have owned my 69 gto 30 years, drove it in high-school! Has a 70 455 bored .60 over and a th400. It's painted flame red with a judge spoiler and an oem hoodtach. Thanks for sharing!!!! Luv 2 see Beautiful ponchos!!! One heck of a transformation!!
Absolutely amazing I had a 68 when I was in high school GTO and I traded it for a 70 Camaro before I got out of high school I was the envy of everyone in my class to have such a super cool car. Thank you so much for sharing this GTO!
Thanks! Do you still have the 70’ Camaro?! A little hint, we have a 71’ Camaro restoration project going on right now! Stay tuned…. Should have some cool videos of that in a couple months
Nice resto and only 1 year! Is that a factory paint color for that model/yr? Can't recall seeing it before. If it was my car, I'd ditch the leaky headers for pontiac factory style hi perf ex manifolds.
i am crossing my fingers that after the grandfather finished the car, in his will he will give to his grandchild to carry on the legacy and let that awesome car live on forever once again. cheers
Need to fix those taillights!! But I can't tell you how proud I am of you being a part of the "Built not bought" club!! This goat will mean so much more because you did it with your own hands!! Very cool!
Well, it looks a lot better than before, but it’s still rough around the edges. Body work is noticeable through the paint. Paint needs to be wert sanded and buffed aa well. The other comment pointed out the other flaws. The sport mirrors don’t look good either. It’s actually cheapens than the car. Should’ve just left the stock review mirror. You did a good job for the most part, though.
should the ending be at the beginning and the beginning be at the end? and slide the middle down to the right with the left side facing west....just sayin....lol
@@passiongarage8816had to be critical because I had that exact same issue with my 68 4 speed with the headlight doors and hood tach. Mine even had the beautiful dark burgundy paint like yours too. 😢❤
@@jasonmacneil2256 Obviously, you have no idea what a "GTO Judge" looks like. I suggest you google it. The version in this video has many telltale signs but the biggest is the small gage and cowling for it mounted on the hood of the car.

The comment on going through tires was pretty cute. You can tell by his smile this is one happy grandpa.
Great job on saving this car from the grave!!

Beautiful car! Great job bringing her back to life.
The hideaways make the GTO look so fierce!???!
Thanks! Yes, I like it a lot better than the original open headlights
My first car was a 69,gto; and i miss that car 😭
Sad to see that this car was so neglected.
Much better to do video footage than pictures with music
Like to know more about the white 68 RT hardtop I had a convertible many years ago.
Thanks! I just made a video a few weeks ago on it
Great work ! What a beautiful car! 👍👌👏
Beautiful family, great car, enjoy the memories.
Great video!you do great work sir!
wow! What a transformation! congrats!
Nice! 👍
I can't believe it only took you one year to restore that car wow.!👍
Thanks! Lots of hard work 😅😅
I have a 70 GTO the hardest part is the rubber bumper cracked paint and ripped rubber from the old bumper jack some won used. 🤔
Yessss! That front bumper was a beast!
Nice 😃

Wow looks fabulous
Looks great, great job. One small observation, the drivers door shut line gap looks pretty bad the further down you go.

Not everything has to be a show car , it’s a driver and that’s just fine !
The only thing I don’t like about this video is the the going backwards story. Great story! No Great family story!
Nice job, nice car. I Sub’d to see more. 👍
Thanks! We have a couple being restored right now! Can’t wait to finish them up! Hint - 71’ Camaro is one of them 🙂

Rare to see a GTO "Judge"......those are more rare than the GTO itself.
