    I carried a g43x for years and swore by it.
    About 5 months ago I was looking to upgrade the wife’s 380 to a 9mm and chose the p365x.
    After running it on the range with her and getting a lot of time in with it, I started enjoying it more than my glock.
    I can conceal it better, my split times are better, hell even the trigger is better.
    Needless to say I bought a second one shortly there after and it is my new EDC.
    I’m definitely not disappointed.

    Andrew... try the MagGuts 12+2 magazine springs in your P365X magazines. Not only will you obtain 2 extra rounds in the OEM 12 round mags, but they are also much easier to load to capacity. I don't usually mess with magazine springs in a defensive carry pistol but have found the MagGuts springs to be 100% reliable over more than 1,000 rounds.

    I rented one at the range that had a red dot on it when I shot my new M&P 2.0. Now I want one of these too. I got the smallest M&P 2.0 in 9mm and it’s fantastic. Normally I carry the Ruger LC9s but it has a couple problems with it and I want to upgrade. Hollow points get stuck on the bottom of the feedramp sometimes and the gun catches on loaded magazines when I try to pull the magazine out. I’ve even had a bullet fall out when i pull the mag out. I carry it with fmj. The 365x fits in the same uncle mikes size 1 iwb clip holster as my ruger which is super confortable plus it holds a few more bullets.

  • @Brad-ic4bp

    I’ve heard this pistol described as snappy, but with the 365X full sized grip, and my support hand covering most of the gun, it feels surprisingly comfortable and controllable. When I think of snappy (and painful), the Walther PPK and the S&W 642 come to mind. I agree with you in the mags though - I can only fit 11 rounds in the 12-round magazine, with a loader.

      Agreed. I just picked up my p365 (I'm in California so it's the only 'legal' 365). I put a Wilson Combat p365xl grip module and a Holosun 507K. I don't think it's snappy at all. I think the original grip is so small that it's difficult for some people to get a tight grip, so it appears snappy. The Wilson is a bit thicker. I just added some baseball tape (Lizard Skin) so I'll try that next range visit. I'd like to see how the Icarus p365xl grip module feels. It's a lot of money to purchase blind.

    • @ExplicitBoricua101
      @ExplicitBoricua101 2 місяці тому +1

      @@True-Tails Most will say the Sheild, however, I preferred the 365. Personally, I just shot it getter and at the end of the day, that's what counts regardless of gun. I'd would recommend you rent them at a local gun range and test them out. I also like the trigger guard on the 365 as it's larger for my fingers compared to the shield. If the grip becomes an issue, you can change it out on the 365, but not on the shield. You can probably buy a ton of mags for the shield and will need a personal loan for sig mags..... Good luck.

  • @TheExplosiveGuy
    @TheExplosiveGuy 2 місяці тому +2

    I can't imagine carrying anything other than a P365X, I love mine. The stock mags left a bit to be desired though, they are hard as hell to load and just a tad bit too short to get a firm grip with my pinky, so I did some digging and found out about a company called Magguts, they sell a flatspring/follower/baseplate kit that makes a world of difference in my pinky grip, along with adding +2 to magazine capacity while only adding 1/8 inch to the baseplate height (the follower is shorter and the flatspring compresses further than a coilspring plus the slightly larger baseplate, all told the extra space allows for two more rounds). The baseplate has a contoured lip for superb grip and the additional 1/8 inch to the height makes zero difference in concealability and a 100% difference in grip, if you have a P365X you are a fool if you don't get a magguts kit. And the +2 to capacity is phenomenal, for a gun this small being able to carry 14+1 is insane. And to add the cherry on top, the mags are way easier to load, like twice as easy, the magguts kit takes a ton of friction out and seems to increase reliability as well.

    You’re “milking” the grip too much (as you stated) and you’re releasing the trigger way past the reset, looks like you’re taking your finger off the trigger after every shot. That affects your accuracy and speed. Only release the trigger right up to the reset and then fire again or hold it at the reset and re acquire your sight picture

    I'm breaking in new magazines for my carry gun. As soon as I got them I wiped off all of the packing grease and loaded them, which was extremely difficult. Then I let them sit loaded for a week before I test fired them. I cycled them each 7 times, both fully loaded and loaded +1. They worked. Just break them in by leaving them loaded and see how they are next time out.

    • @andrewmconrad

  • @woodystube1000
    @woodystube1000 25 днів тому

    I have always been a huge Sig fan. With that said, Sig made an error with the ergonomics on the 365 line, which is very visible in this video. There is no place to securely press against the frame with your support thumb, and the pistol jumps out of your grip with every trigger pull. Watch the shooting and notice you have to adjust and re-grip your support thumb with each round. You can get aftermarket grip modules that solve this problem with stippling/gas pedal, but they add SIGNIFICANT cost to your pistol, and Sig doesn’t offer one.

      Sig isn't without fault. It seems to use it's consumers as beta testers, it's had rust issues on some models, and various quality control concerns on other models - the "drop-fire" feature of the P320 comes to mind, which was frankly inexcusable and when first released some P365 striker pins were breaking, which I saw happen first hand. I admit that's long ago and both issues have been sorted out but it goes back to my first concern. I EDC a P365X, but if H&K made a hi-cap version of the 365X, I'd likely be all over it.
