That engine is sold as a 200 hp. I guess the tuning increases the max rpm so you get a few hp there and a few lower from the tune. How much more torque is important and on what rpm.. I guess you got 5-7% more power around mid powerband. Did you feel it was "much" more power? Faster on plane, mid power? I'm in the process of buying a boat with that engine. Wonder if it will help

A small difference but better to try and have the maximum potential out of the engine , the having the right prop pitch and size as well can make huge differences. For the engine if you really need more power getting twin or a bigger engine is a good idea

Thank you for answering. The problem is that 200 is max allowed on that little boat, but wanting to get the most out of it. I hoped for a few more miles /knots. Can you say anything if it helped you regarding that?

@@mobtlf it could be a few more knots. The prop can be changed to have a higher top seed but will have lower acceleration finding the best acceleration and top speed prop angle will make the biggest difference. If your boat is small and won’t go fast it could be water logged or bad prop angle it should go at around 28 to 30 knots

175 SHO tests out at near 200 hp straight from factory. Flashing will squeeze out another 35-40 hp but effects are negligible given the amount of money to flash (approx $900). But hey, to each their own. 👍
