The correct way to adjust throttle position is reading voltage through the ecm and not relying on the alignment marks. On mine, voltage comes into spec when with the marks past each other. Not dragging you here but this is not the way to do it.
I tried to get some info on it and get it fixed correctly but I couldn’t find anyone to help me. The main issue was that I didn’t have enough cable stroke to go from idle to wot. Either way it’s getting 100% now and only cost me 75cents so I’m happy.
I believe there is a stop bolt with a jam nut on the hot foot that you can adjust to get more travel out of the hot foot. I lost some rpm’s and found out that the jam nut came loose and the stop bolt back out not letting my hot foot to go far enough down.
Love it! I did the first service and it made a little oil during break in but it’s got 31 hours on it now and seems like the rings are seated good. I keep an eye on the oil. So far so good, I’ve had it to 89 with a tournament load and my partner.
@@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS did you use the NIZPRO flash? I'm really thinking about getting the NIZ. You had me out messing with my TPS. Mine was missing the mark by about an 1/8". But i was able to back my Hot foot throttle stop off enough to achive WOT. Ive been curious for a couple of years now about that flash. How much speed pickup and is it worth the $$$
I used hydrotec, there flash is Yamaha approved and won’t effect warranty if you don’t move the rev limiter. Its definitely worth it, on my ranger 520 I picked up 12mph with the flash on a 225, and on this boat with the 200 I picked up 19mph so far but im still messing with the setup
@@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS Roger that!! I'm running a 2022 ZXR20 Skeeter. Always looking for some extra speed. There is no such thing as to much speed. LOL I'm going to check out the Hydrotech sight. Thanks for the info.
@@CAPE_FEAR_OUTDOORS I have a ranger z520 and was thinking about flashing my Yamaha 250. Which prop did you find works best and what speeds are you getting ?
No doubt you need to adjust voltage through ECM. Good stuff thanks for the video.
Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤

Yessir, I removed the throttle stop completely and still didn’t have enough travel.
Was this dealer setup?
Yessir but the dealer I bought from is primarily a saltwater dealer and they had never even seen a hotfoot
Look like a Bullet Boat did u flash it to 300 hp what prop brand and pitch I guess high 90 mph
Yessir 20XD, it’s been flashed. Running a bravo 30 for now.
So its been a couple month's now. what do you think about the flash?
