Basically no one threw them during the ceremony, the replacement cost was NZ $125 or around $75 USD. We did do tiny controlled throws for images so that they won’t be damaged.

@@ziggyzigler3851 I’m not in the US, (in NZ), my school just said, you can throw it, but if it get’s damaged/deformed or hit someone else, you’re by liable for the replacement and medical costs. Basically no one threw them during the ceremony, the replacement cost was NZ $125 or around $75 USD. We did do tiny controlled throws for images so that they won’t be damaged.

You can get your diploma revoked or something but most schools won’t come to that unless they are super anal, also if everyone does it they can’t revoke everyone’s diploma so it’s saftey in numbers
