- Viewers have requested a peek at my daily bunny care routine, so here you go! There's a lot that goes on "behind the scenes" of all the cute fluffy bunny videos that I post. I spend 2-4 hours EVERY DAY caring for my small herd of Holland lop rabbits! To answer those curious about veggies, I DO feed my bunnies veggies like romaine lettuce, parsley, and cilantro as well as small apple or banana slices several times per week. Although condensed to 15 minutes, this video may be a hare boring...don't say I didn't warn you. :)

The cages shown here are from KW Cages, but BE WARNED that this company is not easy to deal with, charges exorbitant shipping fees, and will surprise you with a $45 customization fee just to place vinyl in the upper Bunny Villa floors instead of carpet. They even charged this fee to me after I purchased 20 of their Bunny Villa cages and referred dozens upon dozens of Bunny Villa customers to them. I encourage you to call/email KW Cages, tell them you saw their beautiful cages on our UA-cam channel, and inquire why they charge this silly fee and offer Hook's Hollands Ohio Holland Lops absolutely no break on buying their cages in quantity or for the free advertisement. Hook's Hollands - Ohio Holland Lops I commented this on your other video however, I just copy and pasted this to this one. I just ordered those KW cages 2 of the two story villas and was charged extra to add vinyl on the second floor as well. 🙄 they aren't very customer friendly I'll tell you that. Anyways- Are you able to block out the top level with one bunny upstairs and one bunny downstairs? I asked them that and they tried to sell me a custom made cage (that won't leave the hole for the ramp) but that would cost a fortune for the custom one. I already spent almost $900 on the ones I ordered. Probably not even close to what YOU spent but I feel for you!! I also mentioned that I heard about them from you and he just ignored my comment. Luckily, I live in California and might be able to dodge the astronomical shipping fee and just drive down to pick it up but he said he will let me know if they could do that. Ugh! Sucks because those cages DO look good. One last question! Sorry- but my bunnies (I have 4 holland lops) won't eat those Sherwood digestive tabs that I bought. They really need it because one of them has mushy poop always 😭
So it's about $299.50 + $45 that's absoulutely ridiculous!!!
Plus about $100 s&h. It's the ridiculous $45 charge to put the same vinyl that is already in the bottom floor in the top floor that upsets me most. There are certainly other cage options out there, but these are really nice.
I love that she loves every single bunny and takes care of them with knowing there names and what they need!

This video was excellent, it's great to see how someone experienced handles their bunnies and their daily routine. Even silly things like explaining why you're supposed to fill the water bottle all the way to the top to allow the vacuum to form properly, I didn't know before. You're super down to earth, very likable, and very honest. I love that you even shared things like your profits (or lack thereof) in your Q & A video.
You can tell how well you treat your buns too, every time you even approach a cage they immediately hop over to say hi! I would buy any of your sweet buns in a heartbeat if I wasn't all the way in NY. Liked and subscribed! :)
Wow ! This really warms my heart and is very comforting to see there are actually a lot of people who are dedicated to their animals and research before they consider getting one after all, you need to test the waters before you dive in (if you know what I mean) ! And remember ADOPT DON’T SHOP! There are lots of animals waiting to be loved in shelters! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ but together they will all have homes!
Awww they're all so adorable 💕 I love your cages too, much bigger than the cages of most breeders I've seen, the floors aren't wire, they look about 8 square feet, and he cages look super cosy too ❤️ honestly your setups are better than many people who keep rabbits as pets and not for breeding.

I don't think that's true actually. I've known several unspayed does and none have gotten cancer. Not saying that it's not true but from my experience I don't think it is

Love it! We have our mini lop, Jethro, as a house bunny. He stays in his cage while we’re at work, but he has the run of the house when we get home. He’s not a snuggler at all, but will stretch out on the floor beside you while you pet him.

Also, if you are feeding him veggies or other treats, try stopping those and just feeding unlimited timothy hay and a quality pellet like Sherwood. Some bunnies just can't handle treats and moist veggies/fruits.
He's a really picky boy. I have tried a few different hays and can't get him to consistently eat it. He doesn't get too many fruit treats. His greens intake is some pellets, fresh spinach, and whatever happens to be growing in my rabbit friendly garden. =)

I love this!! I'm getting a bunny at are new house (4 or 5 months) I'm going to keep my bunny in are garage in a hutch. Never outside!! Raccoons or ferrets can dig underground and get them ahhh!! Hahah😉 I would always let him run around in are garage and everyday I will clean his hutch!!🙂🙂🙂
It's best to have a nice indoor cage and a big caged area outside to play in during the day (fenced top and heavy so they can't dig under easily, I use pegs to keep mine in place). As long as you keep an eye on them, an animal won't have time to get through good chicken wire before you see them.

Wow, I have to admire your dedication to your bunnies. How long does it take you in the morning to go through the feeding and cleaning process? I'm also amazed that none of your bunnies out having a run around are tempted to chew through the vacuum cable!
It takes about 1 1/2 - 2 hours in the morning, another hour in the evening, and various amounts of time playing with them during the day. It's definitely a part-time job with little monetary return once expenses and time are considered. :)
I had one bunny try to nibble the cord, but I do watch while they're running loose and put the cord up when not in use.
That's actually less than I was thinking. Still, it's for the love of bunnies more than anything :)

The same thing i deal with haha! i laughed when you said your bunnies give u looks when you let one out and not the other. i have 2 un-spayed females and any time i let one out and not the other they would make me feel so guilty with their little eyes! now that i have 2 playpens, they seem much happier. your buns are so cute

Hi. So I'm not sure if you said this or not, but how many times do you refill the bunnies hay and pellets?
Twice daily. They need a constant supply of hay and pellets, and if you feed a good brand like Sherwood, you can really free-feed however much pellets your bunny can eat daily. Mine usually get 1/4 cup in the morning and up to another 1/4 cup in the evening.

I am positive with a little bit of searching you could find somebody in your home town/area that could build these.., especially if you were going to push them on your web site. Just DON'T deal with companies with a bad attitude.., or they will NEVER change.
As another holland lop owner, I'm envious of the quality of life you're able to give all those buns. They're health and friendliness are amazing! My little girl throws a fit every time I pick her up, but she's real cuddly on the floor.

I also have a health related question: in your experience, have you seen many bunnies with "ingrown teeth"? My little Kuri-can (Japanese for chestnut) has this problem which gotten quite bad. It makes me really sad; she's only 2.5 years old and probably won't see her next birthday.
Bunnies can get malocclusion where the bottom front teeth are in front of the top front teeth, so they need their teeth trimmed for life. It is a genetic trait, but I have yet to see it personally (knock on wood). I haven't heard of ingrown teeth.
What's happened with her is all the back teeth are growing at the wrong end, working their way up into her skull and jaw. This caused a very deep nasty infection that cannot be cured. I've read about it before and the simple way to say it is there's pictures out there of bunnies missing half a face from this. Sadly, all the vet can do is treat it until she tells me it's time to go. I was just curious if you'd ever had to experience this with any of your buns, as it's very horrible thing.
