As an Egyptian, it pains me to see how we treat our tourists and ruin their expriences. It is what it is i guess.

You are advising people not to follow but you follow and get scammed, you pay 100 when 50 would be plenty! My advice is just keep waking and say La Shuckran

Superbe aventure au milieu de ces Pyramides gigantesques, montrant bien que l'homme reste petit à coté des ces monstres historiques.
Ces Pyramides étaient volontairement énormes, pour montrer la grandeur de leurs Pharaons, montrant ainsi leur puissance par ce biais.
Merci pour cette belle aventure, et super sympa le tour en Chameau avec les Photos Souvenirs en Chameau devant la Pyramide.
Oui c’est vrai que les pyramides sont grandioses mais la véritable découverte pour moi en Égypte 🇪🇬 c’est les gens qui sont vraiment adorables !
j'adore l'Egypte, j'y suis allé plusieurs fois mais la grandeur de ces pyramides n'est pas respectée par les locaux a mon avis, c'est toujours superbe en photos car certains croient que c'est au milieu du désert alors que c'est carrément en plein centre de Gizeh et on ne vois pas la crasse qui est autour du site, il suffit de se balader a quelques mètres des pyramides pour trouver des tonnes de déchets en tout genre, décharge a ciel ouvert ou autre... il suffit d'aller faire un tour en quad dans la zone du plateau de Gizeh et on le constate vite, rien que pour arriver a l'entrée ou on dois passer en quad on passe dans des rue ou on aperçois même plus la route, on roule sur les déchets c'est dommage je trouve de ne pas avoir plus de respect pour ces merveille du monde

Going to Egypt and seeing the pyramids and the ancient temples is a dream of mine. I was hoping to go this year; but hearing about the scammers; pushy sales people; cops who want a bribe...etc has me a bit hesitant.
It's unpleasant and ruins the experience I must say. still if you think about it as they are just trying to make a living. What has worked best for be is simply to say nothing and just keep on walking. Don't even shake your head and even better have your headphones in your ear and music on😁but you are totally save, Egyptians are in general good and friendly people.

How much are actual camel rides for one person? Do they take you all around or just for like 3 min? 150 ($9) seems a bit for that much time.

The moment the scammer jumped in, I'd jump right out.
1st. You don't know if you're gonna get robbed or kidnapped.
2nd. it would piss me off that the driver allowed it to happen in the first place.
Otherwise its just going to courage the scammers to do the same to someone else.
I give all my Uber drivers a perfect score ( even if they're bad drivers)because I don't want interfere with their living, but I'd give this driver a bad score for allowing some stranger in the car out just out of principle .
I just hope they don't do that with Women....
Regardless, the authorities should get rid of all these scammers/ and shady beggars, it's enough to sour one's once in a lifetime experience.

@@BenjiAroundTheWorld lol u reply after a year? ok well, yes I found that out, cos I went there last year and it was raining and we had lightning too, I managed to photograph it.. the flood knocked out all the power in the pyramids so when we went in the next day it was pitch black, everyone had to use their phone flashlight

This is what tourist fail to see. You're paying them to take a photo of yourself from your own phone..very smart.. why don't you ask another tourist to take it, it's free. And you don't need a guide when you can do it yourself. You're paying someone to follow you around.. 😂..
