Wouldn't it be nice and more elegant if you could put a piece of wood between the inner and outer frames of the windows rather than painting the exposed screws?

There is a foam rubber insulation that can be put behind your blinds which goes on like tape. Home Depot and Lowes both sell it. Comes in several widths and thicknesses, so that it also helps with insulation. Will stop your noise.

Propane generators drink very quickly. Diesel generators sip fuel very slowly and tap into the bus' fuel tank. Maybe consider an Onan QD3200; would consume a measly 7 gallons per day if run non-stop.

If you do go diesel gen and tap into the fuel for the engine just be careful you don't run it to long because then you will not be able to move the bus. Diesel motor homes have a pick up in the tank for the gen that goes approximately half way down maybe more so that way the gen runs out of fuel but the rig is still able to get to a fuel station.

I binged your build videos, lol. Actually, I'm on 33. I really enjoyed watching them. Question... How come you did not put the ceiling in prior to adding the cabinets, etc.?

Looks great !! Perhaps look into the Kimberly series wood stove uses very little wood to heat..Cheers

Looking great! You may already know this but if later you decide to get a propane generator horsepower may prevent use of small tanks. Basically, a standard BBQ type tank will be inadequate for most/all gen sets because propane usage by engine results in a refrigeration effect thereby dropping pressure in tank below required amount by engine.

I saw your FB post about doing a series on your side hustles. Great idea. You can give other folks ideas about how to earn a little extra cash.

Since it is cold and wet where ever he is, Chris can double check for roof leaks while he completes other parts of the bus.

think if you get some black flexible plastic strip thats about as wide as the gap between the window and the window frame you can probable put those is and let the springy ness keep it in place resting over the screws caught between the window and the frames edge
might need to heat the corners to get those bends a little tighter , need to check wat works best in cold heat and uv light
as for the pipe for the natures head toilet get a sink rosette/hole cover :

Looks like it’s really coming along nicely. It will be interesting to see what you think of the Nature’s Head versus the standard RV toilet over time.

I like you. I've met you. You probably wouldn't remember me. Im not hating. But this has gone down a rabbit hole of mundane for a long long time!
And. You acutally make me think getting an old Class A and repairing on-the-go might be a better option. Because. Time.
You guys better tour the F out of America and beyond after this yo.

Oh my gosh! ! I'm not kidding. ...using wider blinds that cover several windows makes it truly look like a home on the inside and not a bus. It's crazy how a creative mind makes the same build as someone else have a completely different feel and result.
I'm am loving where your at with the build and it's going to be one of the best ones EVER by far 😊

Awesome job Chris! I’d use the felt pads instead of the Velcro on the blinds. Just an opinion of a woman 😉 And, the propane idea is 😎😎😎

My mom had window shades in her home similar to what you have and ended up spending more time with customer warranty getting them replaced then actually using them. The system that rolled up the shade on hers was plastic and after only a few months of use one side would hang and not go up. Hopefully yours are a better quality and you have no problems.
Love your videos and because of you and Jim I want to do this myself so bad but funds are just not there. Keep up the great work and look forward to the next vid.

Looking good! Yea, I don't like accordion blinds like that. They always sag on one side and after a few months, mine always broke and had trouble self retracting when you try to raise the blinds.

  • @jimmydeen58

Looking Great.. I tried the same mini blinds that you have and did have the same problem where they sagged on one corner, replaced them all with Aluminum mini blinds and added "Felt Pads" on the corners and it sure did quiet them up when going down the road..
