Remember the early morning watch bill to shave and get dressed starting at 0430? It was easy to have 7 ppl/15 mins. Then by 0600 we are up and dressed with a clean compartment and beds made and racks squared away.
We woke up at 4am. Did our morning routine making our bed and shaving, then workout, then breakfast. Normally stood in line for an hour waiting to get into the galley. So much fun standing outside at 5 or 6am in January.

I remember my time at navy bootcamp, I was 19 back then. Now i'm 23 almost 24. Veteran and going to school. Sometimes I actually miss being in the military. I was stationed in Atsugi, Japan and those years were amazing. I went to Tokyo every weekend and met amazing people. Not to mention all the amazing places I got the opportunity of experiencing. Now i'm in Michigan trying to get college knocked out as soon as possible.

When they say don’t touch your eyes they mean it. I was the first to get pink eye in boot. We folded out blankets and such on the floor not to mention when you PT your hands are all over the floor. After that I started sanitizing every 10 seconds and doing my best to avoid touching my face with my hands. Also “‘never relax never relax kill kill kill” bothered me as well. Yeah we’re putting warheads on foreheads but imma be sitting in an air conditioned room fixing aircraft parts sooo...

Dude I remember I was Forward Hold for ship staff and came back to my Division getting IT’d and ya boy just turned around and went to go do something else where lol
Actually majority of boot camp that is how they wake you up, yelling but not chaotic yelling, the only time they are crazy yelling at you is like the first week, maybe some random battle stations practice drills, then the actual battle stations, the rest of the days are fairly calm
Actually after you reach that certain threshold where they start to take it easier on you, it wasn't that uncommon for them to wake us up like that. At a certain point towards the end my chief would walk in and quietly say "Get up, Men" and we were up.

I definitely know how important arm circles and warm ups are I play baseball we always did warm ups haven’t played in a while went out to throw without warm ups and definitely regretted it it felt like my arm died after throwing so much so far and so long
5:04 I had a class instructed by that Petty Officer a couple months ago while in boot camp. If I’m right it was for basic first aid. He was a really cool guy and had some great stories to tell

i just came home from rtc, i was in a 900 triple threat division with a senior chief (MA) as a main rdc. unfortunately i was medically separated but there were days when we got IT 4 times before breakfast. those rdc's are being nice for the camera.
I go to MEPS the 2nd week of March. I did JROTC all 4 years of highschool but I'm still terrified, I'm known for being a really sweet person and I just am petrified honestly. I know its worse than this I just need to see it so I can mentally prepare myself

You better know your general orders and rank & recognition by the time you get there. It'll help you out so much and prevent you from getting yelled at while on security watch. Your RDCs will challenge you once they walk in and if you get their question wrong you better be ready to get beat. It'll also help out with your personnel inspections, if you know that stuff then you shouldn't get a question hit. Good luck future sailor!

@@BoFKenny You can only keep watches that are all black from home. No smart watches of course. They also sell them at the NEX For as low as 10$. Digital ones preferably so you can change it to a 24 hour clock (Military time)

As a civilian before joining the Army i was up at just after 2 AM drive about an hr to work. at work before 4 AM geting up at 5 AM was like sleeping in for me
