No problem LOVE what you are doing. You have gotten me over my nerves. You should make a video on how to get / earn leadership positions in boot camp. I am a platoon commander in jrotc so does that help?
If you are using a tri-pod with your cam, get an old sock and stuff it with rocks. Put it between the feet of the tripod nice and snug. (thinking its a small one because it tipped) That will keep it from tipping over. I appreciate your vids man. 😄😎
Watching him unroll those flags revealing their Recruit Division numbers was kind of emotional for me. I haven't enlisted yet but I will within 2 months and I can't wait to give all I can and try my best in bootcamp.
Haha I remember Lieutenant Peters giving us a liberty brief after battle stations and 99% of both divisions were falling asleep standing up. Funniest shit I’ve ever seen 😂 hooyah 359 !
I’m shipping out August 6th 2020 unless I change jobs between now and then. Currently a pact fireman I’m trying like hell to get a rate before my ship date
I definitely remember the layout of the compartments. I went through Boot Camp in 05 and the first couple of nights they had us staying in the old school ships. Thank god they moved us from out of those things.
The way to get through boot camp is very easy: only worry about what you need to do this very minute; don't worry about what you did wrong a few minutes ago or yesterday, and don't worry about what will happen tomorrow. CWO4 (Cryptology), USN, Ret, 73-95
Lt. Peters was always chill with my division. He never yelled at us (unless someone was falling asleep), he ran with us during our Pride Run, and he gave really good advice. Hooyah USS Constitution! Hooyah 012!!
Jt. Can you do a video on Landing Signalman Enlisted? I know you have exsperince with it so I was wondering if you could talk about how to become one, what they do, which rates can do it, and what is the pipeline you have to do to become one... I recently just got my GED and my 17th birthday is coming up so its time for me to make a plan on my military future.
Something a lot of people don't realize is if they do the I can't hear you thing a few times in a row, it has a real purpose. If you've ever done it you know that it is a little infectious and it does motivate you. It's because as you should you're taking deeper breaths back in suddenly and it just gets oxygen into your lungs mad gets your heart rate going and wakes you up. Improves your mood a bit and just *literally* gets you physically pumped up. You listen better you stand at attention better and you're more apt to get going and kill the game.
Why the fuck are they wearing green. The only green they are going to see in the navy is the vertigree they are cleaning off of the brass in the pway. When did they change to green from the nwu's. Which I was also confused why sailors need camo to begin with.
I entered boot camp in my early 30s, so I laughed a lot at how 'tuff' my RDCs' were! (If I were in my teens I would have been scared) ...Because of that I did a lot of sit ups and push ups, but I learned that it was like Simon Says! Once I figured that out, boot camp was easy!
I just fully enlisted in the Army. I don't leave till August. But some it's 2 months some it's 3 and a half to 4. I'm actually excited for it. Looking forward to it
Love the Men at War marching cadence in the background for a bit there. Brings back good memories. Also JT see if you can find the footage of division 940 doing the Matrix as they left a graduation back in late July/Early August of 2019
Yazomighty with a hat it’s easy as hell. You will hate your division more than you actually hate bootcamp. My division was immature af so we got beat A LOT. Don’t give up and you’ll be fine.
Hey JT, I have a question. I’m class of 2022 and I cant decide wether to go officer or enlisted. My plan is to apply to the naval academy and other colleges and take nuclear engineering (I plan to be a Nuke) and Navy ROTC. But if I don’t get accepted or dont get a scholarship I plan to go enlisted and do OTS (whenever that may be). Is it beneficial to eventually get officer by going the enlisted route or going the college route. Also when should I talk to a recruiter?
That’s me saluting!!! Don’t believe me I can name everyone of those RDC’s standing in the background. None of them saw me. No one even said anything until after boot camp when they found this video. Btw LT peters was one of the only people to talk to us like human beings.
came back from Bootcamp a couple of weeks ago- "recruit in their natural habitat" is somewhat true... trust me, it's a lot more hectic than what they've shown in the video(a lot more intense.) maybe it's just my division lol.
I went through bootcamp 31 October 99 to 07 jan 2000. First graduating class of the new millennium. We didn't have a galley in our ship. The base had 2 gallies. We would March to chow. It was way more hardcore back then. It looks like it too relaxed now. CNO division 044. Missed hall of fame by 2 points.

ShootToMiss you already know he goes his rung for that😂
Bruh I died
a really easy mistake to make, luckily, it wasn't easily seen from that angle but he probably got chewed out for it later.
I laughed so hard and then I remembered thats probably going to be me next week and cried.
Dude was critisizing the lack of motivation but he don't look all that motivated himself. Great leadership right there.
Then as soon as you get to A school they tell you to pretty much forget most of the stuff they tell you in boot.
LT. Peters is the officer in the video, always walked around in his flight suit. Was a great dude tbh always talked to us like we were human 😂
