I have no idea why YT has not recommended your channel to me before, as I am an avid upland hunter with a wirehair! I found you from Tyler's podcast just this week. You really are doing the best YT videos for upland hunters! Excellent work. Thanks for all that you do. It allows me to live vicariously through you, as we we have short grouse seasons in northern Ontario. If you ever want help finding birds up here, please reach out. We have some of the densest ruff grouse populations anywhere. Winter shuts it down fairly early though. All the best.

I’ve said this before on past hells canyon videos but you do the best job of capturing the experience of hunting this area that you can possibly do with a camera. Glad you found success while you were here too, the late snow we got made things tricky for ID late season.

Great videos...how far are you leading your chukar on the 30-40 yard shots? Its my first year hunting them and most of my shots are 30-40yd crossing birds and I cant hit a single one. thanks

I am a dyed I the wool chukar hunter. It’s not the crossing shot you are missing. Stick with me here. You are standing on the ridge they jump up and it’s a down and away shot. Correct.? They are crossing like in the duck blind. We had you same trouble. How we fixed it. Pre season we found a nice high saddle one that was at 45’ downhill slope 60’ is better. We would hike up with about 3 cases of clay pigeons a case of shells. Most importantly one of those cheap red in color clay pigeon throwers you buy a Walmart. Duct tape in to a wooden broom handle.. It will take a few throws to reproduce that down and away shot that you getting at live chukar. That shot can’t be reproduced on a sporting clays course. Now why you guys are missing, you are shooting behind them. You have train yourself to start your swing from behind the bird, keep swinging though the bird once you pass the beak touch if off and don’t stop your swing. We you get some practice in it will all come clear. Have more questions my email is mroussel064@gmail.com

Eric, you could have kept the bighorn deadhead! Page 99 of the ID big game rules/regs:
"Recovery, Possession and Sale of Bighorn Sheep Horns
Horns from bighorn sheep that have died of natural causes
may be recovered and possessed. All bighorn sheep horns
must be presented to Fish and Game for marking with a
permanent pin within 30 days of recovery. It is unlawful to sell,
barter or purchase bighorn sheep horns obtained under these
circumstances, or to transfer ownership of recovered bighorn
sheep horns without a permit from Idaho Fish and Game."
