My goal at THEE BURGER DUDE is to show vegans and non-vegans alike how easy it is to make delicious and decadent vegan meals. I used to eat a lot of meat and dairy before going vegan, so this channel is aimed at people like myself before going vegan. Additionally, I totally welcome any vegans who might be missing one of their favorite fast food or comfort food meals as well, come on in! I want to show that you can still have burgers, mac n' cheese, fried chick’n and any other kind of comfort food, and that it’s possible with plant-based ingredients.

I made this carne asada and ate it with rice instead. It was amazing! Soy curls were a game changer! First time using them and I couldn’t believe how close to meat the texture of these were. I will make this again for sure. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

I just made this and man! That sauce really is so good I could have eaten it as soup! I kept tasting it every few minutes juuuuust to make sure the taste hadn't changed. LOL Maybe some day I will make soup out of it!

Soy curls look to be the best addition to Impossible meat. They are so much easier to work with when compared to alternatives. Your sauce recipes are brilliant and make each recipes depth of flavor wonderful. I cannot forget my enjoyment of using multiple savory Umami flavors which kick any recipe to a higher level of deliciousness.

Made this last night, only sub was brown sugar for molasses. Served it with black beans & rice, refried beans and all the fixings....it was SOOO delicious! Thank you!!

I'm glad you showed the label for the beef broth. I heard from so many channels that Better Than Bouillon's beef broth was vegan and I was so confused because it clearly says in the ingredients it has beef.

For anyone who can't find- "Red Yeast Rice Powder", (it's pretty difficult to find these days..) "beet root powder" works just as well. NOT for flavor-> for your "meaty-color".

Yeah I'm not sure if the red yeast rice powder is necessary, but that definitely made it more red than usual, still super good tho! Let me know how it goes!

Yumm!!!! Thanks for the info in the Carne asada.... as per a torta de camarones (actual shrimp) there's a place that sells them in Santa Ana, OC...look up Gallo Giro their Vegetarian torta is 👍
Thanks! I don't eat Shrimp anymore unless it's vegan haha! But Los Chavos had great shrimp tacos, and for whatever reason they refused to make us shrimp tortas. They would literally customize anything else but for some reason that was not allowed.

Hmm maybe, you’d have to thin it out a bit with plant milk maybe. You can also make vegan sour cream with cashews!

I halved the recipe, and while it was very tasty it was more tangy than anything else. I wonder if maybe it had to do with the beefless broth I used

I'm not vegan but got vegan flat mates so I watch these from time to time. I'm thinking could you shred oyster mushrooms to replace the meat substitute cos I'm not a fan of said substitutes.

try dehydrating the mushroom first and then rehydrate in broth. dehydrating gives a meatier texture
