Quick soy curl tip: just put the broth and dry soy curls in the pan and cook until liquid gone. It does the same as soaking, then cooking. 😉 I also love teriyaki soy curls in the air fryer when they have a few blackened spots. It's a cross between jerky and the teriyaki chicken they served at Asian buffets on skewers.
@@blackjetta530 When I do teriyaki ones, I soak in no chicken bouillon, poultry seasoning and boiling water. Then I squeeze out most of the liquid, not all, toss in teriyaki sauce, then air fry. I usually toss in a little more teriyaki after they're done. 😉
Just made a beef and broccoli meal for my family using the soy curls. It is so delicious and no one could tell I didn't use meat. They all came and got seconds and even thirds!! I am so freaking excited right now. I have been trying to get them to go plant based for years and this has finally got them wanting to try. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Lol keep giving them vegan food that they won’t realize are vegan and than after a few months (or years if you want to go that far) tell them and see their reaction….
Omg I just bought these from Amazon! So glad for this video! Don’t knock the dried cranberries! My mom made a chicken salad with red grapes, red onions, chopped walnuts and cranberries. The dressing was very similar to yours but had some champagne vinegar!
Finally someone who rehydrates and adds flavor at the same time! lol that's what I do. Idk why people rehydrate them in plain water and squeeze them out and then add the flavor. cut that work in half!
I just made the Filipino BBQ. Today is a fasting day but I’m having people over tomorrow and started cooking today. OMG…….. no longer a fasting day and it is your fault😂. I’ve been using soy curls forever and agree it is under utilized in the vegan community considering it’s incredibly healthy. Adding the broth slowly is genius. So much more flavorful. Thank you thank you thank you❤
I’m always so thankful for great soy curl recipes like these! We’ve been buying the 12lb box a few times a year for almost 10 years. My husband even gets his northeastern fried clams fix with them. 😁
OMG Cranberries, raisins or grapes are the bomb in a vegan chicken salad recipe. You should try them. Glad somebody is finally giving soy curls the credit they deserve.
This is so exciting! My partner has missed having filipino barbecue since becoming vegan, so this is definitely the first recipe we'd try. Would love to get a chance to try soy curls and make these since soy curls are so hard to find!
I’m seventh day Adventist and we soy curls a lot. We use them in soups and stews, tacos, etc for our potluck meals. I’m always looking for ways to make meals with them. We get them from Butler foods in the big box and keep them in the freezer next to the cashews.
I have also moved out of Southern California so obviously I need some amazing vegan taco recipes and ever since I've tried your carne asada tacos a year ago, I make them almost weekly. They're amazing and my fam can't get enough 😋
I made the Carne Asada recipe for two non vegans and they loved it and so did I. I'm a vegatarian and was pleasantly surprised at how meaty and flavorful the recipe was. You now have me as a fan...thank you.
Mahalo - I gotta make some and bring it to my folks when I visit them in Hawaii and being that my family is half-Filipino we all love adobo - except, I'm the only vegan in my family. so this recipe is GREAT!
On the 5th my husband and 2 sons will be 1 whole month Vegetarian! We are trying very very hard to become 100% vegan. We are 33 and its been a challenge to cut all animal sources cold turkey. Im so glad i found your channel! I am learning alot!!
This might be my favorite video of yours! I can’t wait to make the carne asada for my husband who’s a San Diego native. We recently moved out of Southern California, and I know he’s missing his Mexican food. Honestly though, I can’t wait to try them all! 🤤
I tried soy curls for the first time last night. Took vegan chicken bouillon with black pepper to rehydrate the soy curls, then cooked in pan like you did, using the rehydration liquid instead of oil. Threw them in the air fryer and made a non-vegan, traditional fettuccine Alfredo. (just butter, garlic and parmesan). Then threw the soy curls in with the noodles at the last minute. My Fettucini Alfredo is amazing, but the soy curls were absolutely KILLER! I've been afraid I wouldn't like them but they are awesome! Do you have a vegan butter and parmesan substitute that you like? I can't wait to try these recipes!
I really want to try the bbq recipe. I'll admit that I'm a non vegan but I've been watching you guys for a while now learning about the vast vegan cuisine out there and I think these recipes are a perfect foray into eating less meat and starting my journey into veganism. They feel approachable and familiar and not only that, they look delicious. If I can start small, by replacing a recipe I know and love (chicken salad) with an equally delicious if not better version with a more ethical culinary approach, then I know I can make a lasting change, even in this small way!
Fantastic idea, and good for you 👏 every journey starts with small steps lol… We need more people like you prepared to start the journey towards veganism, even if it’s only to reduce your meat and dairy impact. I love reading about people eating a ‘normal’ diet who are interested and willing to start out on it. I admire that. Been vegan for 7 years now, wish I’d done it 20 years before lol
I have never tried soy curls. But have seen videos that say they have to rinse them and squeeze them out several times to get the soy taste out. BEFORE flavoring them. What do you all think
Can't wait to try your Filipino adobo jerky!! I'm part-filipino and really appreciate all the Filipino recipes you guys do as I'm the only member of my family that doesn't eat meat! Haven't ever tried soy curls before!
Whole Foods stopped selling their vegan chick’n curry salad, I miss it so much! So I bought these Butler soy curls and made it myself! Yummmyyy! ❤ I will now make sure to always have these soy curls on hand bc they are so versatile and yummy!
Okay because of you guys, I'm gonna give soy curls another chance! I bought a huge bag about a year into becoming a vegan, but I just didn't have a clue as to how to make them taste good. Thank you for this video! I'm super excited to try!
we just ordered our second 24 lb box of these and we love them. I soak them in broth for half an hour ish, squeeze them out and shake them in a bag with a mix of flour, bread crumbs and spices. spray them and pop them in the air fryer for 15 minutes. then toss em in whatever sauce you like bbque. sweet and sour whatever. they are amazing. and we are always looking for new ideas and ways to prepare them. some of these look amazing also. can't wait to try them!
What a great video!! I have always thought soy curls are underutilized as I search through recipes. The texture is awesome and they absorb flavor just like tofu! I can't wait to try the adobo jerky 😳 wow! Also love Jasmine's apron!!
Hello, Jasmin and Chris, I just stumbled into your channel and I am glad I did. I am 80% vegetarian. Your videos are very inspiring, keep making them, please. Best regards!
I’m so jazzed about making all of these. I bought a 12 lb bag so I’m ready to rock and roll. (I found out I need to keep the soy curls in the freezer…so make sure you have freezer space before you get the big bag!) I made a soy curl teriyaki yesterday and even my die-hard meat eating son was so satisfied with them. Thank you for all of your videoes! You guys are both so gifted with recipe creation and presentation.
I love soycurls soooo much. I love chicken salad with them. I am the one who puts apples grapes and dried cherries into my chicken salad. If you haven’t tried it you should the flavor combo just works! That’s for some great ideas. I wonder if you put those sticks on a charcoal grill if they’re level up even more?! Yum!!
What I really like about your method is you don't waste that broth! I've watched so many videos where they rehydrate and then squeeze the water/broth out! This seems like a much more flavorful way to cook it
I have used soy curls for years, but not often enough. I ordered a 12 lb bag recently to help make up a vegan bulk storage pantry. I have a feeling that with these recipes I am going to go through my stores quickly! Thank you for more beautiful recipes!
I’ve never tried soy curls but now I’m intrigued. I would try the chicken salad (with walnuts, apple & cranberries.. delish!) first & then the Filipino BBQ.
I would love to try it as carne asada 😋 you guys have the best vegan channel ever, so many new ideas! Jazmin you have the most gorgeous hair ever, so full, wavy/curly, is amazing.
Oh my goodness! I just made the chick-un salad and it is amazing! Next test will be the jerky after watching Sarah's Vegan kitchen version and re-watching yours. Thank you so much for sharing.
I love using soy curls. My way to make them is by coating them in some cornstarch, salt & pepper and pan frying them, then most other times I then would coat in a Mongolian sauce. Soooo good
What I love about your cooking videos is that you guys actually taste everything and let us know how it taste! And you give your truly opinions! Love love your videos!!! My favorite recipe was the chicken salad, I’ll definitely try it!!
This is my go to for any chicken dish! I first found this type ingredient about 2-3 months ago when I made a Buffalo chicken dip for the first time! I discovered the broth right off the bat! It’s a must!! Thanks for this.
Everything looks amazing!! 😋😋 I honestly want all of them, but I’m really craving the Filipino barbecue now! Please come up with more recipes for soy curls! 💕
I ordered a box of 24 Butler Direct from the company and stumbled onto your video researching ideas! Your chicken Salad and carne asada recipes look amazing! Can't wait to try thank you for showing us what you do!
That vegan Filipino barbeque looks so good! I used to eat chicken satay many years ago, and this reminds me of that, but it looks much tastier! Yummy!!
THANK YOU for the barbecue recipe!!! That's definitely the one I'm most excited to try out, but the adobo jerky is also calling to my Filipino heart.....
Fantastic recipes! We eat them regularly, so I have plenty. No need to enter me into the contest. Beside the chicken salad, the other three are new to me and I can't wait to try every one of them. Thanks so much, guys!
all these recipes look so delicious!!!! Ive never tried soy curls and they arent available in my area. i want to try the vegan bbq recipe so much!!!! i loved watching you guys!!!!
OMG. We just made the carne asada tacos tonight! Started the marinade process night before. Wow. amazing. I am also a So Cal girl and loved carne asada tacos before going vegan. Now that I am cruelty free, I love having this recipe on hand to share with friends to spread the important message of eating plant based!
The taste and texture of the Filipino bbq blew me away! I would like to mince it and make burger patties out of it. Do you have any recommendations to keep it together? Mashed beans, chickpea flour, breadcrumbs…? Open to suggestions and thank you in advance 🙏.
Thank you for the soy curl tip of soaking in broth! I haven’t cooked with it much but these recipes look great. Starting with the carne asada, then Chicken salad! After, of course, I can find them. Ordered online before.
Hey from Georgia. Love soy curls; so glad we can get them from Butler's. I'm going to try the chicken salad. Thanks for sharing your life with your public.
You two are just AMAZING!!!!! I think you are my favorite You Tubers!!!! THANK YOU for all you do!!!! You are truly AWESOME!!!! I absolutely LOVE your videos!!!!💕
I made the chicken salad….chefs kiss!! Thank you for the video. I’ve been looking for more options to use my soy curls. I will be trying the other recipes too. 🤤
All of these looked really good. Even the chicken salad, which I also have never eaten in my life along with any other " salad" dishes like pasta salad or potato salad. Especially want to try the Philippine barbecue
I'd love to try the Filipino bbq. I love trying new recipes, especially meat free. I have never heard of soy curls, so thank you so very much for introducing them to me. I'm excited about all the things I can make now. I'm hoping my meat loving husband will enjoy them so our household can go completely meat free.
Thank you for sharing all of these great recipes. Soy Curls are not available where I live. They look amazing. The sandwich is definitely something I want to try. I'm always looking for lunch recipes to pack for work.
I made the Vegan Pork BBQ. I followed it to the tee except instead of the oyster sauce I used fish sauce. It looked amazing and it did caramelize but it was too salty to eat. What could have caused that because there is no added salt? I also used low sodium soy sauce. UPDATE: I asked my chef son and he said that it was caused by the fish sauce. I will be making it again (using Oyster sauce) because it did taste good under all that saltiness.
@@AthynVixen most supermarkets don’t have them in UK but you can find them in like wholefood stores. I have sometimes seen them in Asda as well in the free from section.
All these recipes looks absolutely delicious ! Especially the carne asada tacos ! I have never heard of soy curls before your channel, but I have been incorporating a lot more plant based cooking in my home and am excited to try these recipies ! Thank you for sharing!! 😁
The BBQ recipe looks good. I love the idea of the soy curls,I live in the UK and cannot get soy like this anywhere except for Amazon and it is a ridiculous price. Love the Energy from you both. Much love. X
I love that you're showcasing soy curls for the recipes, so high in protein and cheap compared to other vegan meats. Can't wait to try these out. You also gave me the idea to modify the chick'n salad into a curry chick'n salad 😋
Wow! I'm very happy to subscribe to your channel 😍 I'm kind a beginner as vegan and I feel very well since I started (6 months) but it's hard for me to find nice, easy recipes.. I Love all your recipes but, my favorite i will say it's the chicken salad 😍😘 Thanks 🙏
I feel compelled to comment because I've tried the bbq skewers recipe and have subsequently made it many times due to popular demand. Thank you and HIGHLY recommend.
I actually didn't like soy curls when I tried them but these recipes make them look really good! Plus cooking them to char them will probably give them a better texture. I may have to get me some to try them out again.
I love soy curls and am having them for dinner tonight. I wish I hadn’t marinated them yet because I really love your method. I will definitely make these SOON! Thank you!!! 🥰🇨🇦
They all look delicious, I'm gonna try the "chicken" version today for lunch. Can't wait! Thank you guys for your great recipes, they are all so yummy! Stay safe, love from Italy
Oh wow! These all look so amazing I cannot decide which one to try first! For the sake of the contest it will probably be the chickun salad since I am always looking for new sandwich ideas! Thanks for all of the great recipes!!
I used to feel like that about the chicken salad with apples and cranberries until I went to a wedding reception and the restaurant had it, that changed my mind about it for sure. I have learned to not say never on food unless it has several ingredients I don’t like, but never count out something just because you aren’t sure how they taste together.
Hi J & C, I've never had Soy Curls or any of those "meat" recipes, as I became a vegetarian (now vegan) at a young age. I would love to try them! I think I would make the carne asada first, followed by the chix'n salad, but I would like to make the jerky too. Gosh, I'm so indecisive! 😆 Thanks for considering me!
I will be making the chikn salad today cuz I have all the ingredients. FYI- if you have a Natural Grocer near you, they may have soy curls. Mine does and the price is great! I'm hoping for that I can make the other recipes without oil as I prefer not to eat it. Maybe I'll try aquafaba as a substitute... Anyway, loved these new to me ideas of how to use soy curls!
Being in Texas, I think the Carne Asada might need to be my first choice. But that Filipino bbq will follow close behind. Everything looks amazing! Love this video!
OMGOODNESS! I love all your soy curl recipes and of course you two ♥️ I am trying all your creations and can’t wait! I ran out of soy curls but plan on getting some right away. I really appreciated all the soaking methods you used to bring out more flavor. I never thought of doing that. You always inspire me. Thank you!💝😘
Just got diagnosed with Lupus and going Vegan is supposed to be better for me, so I am so happy to have found your channel. I have never heard of soy curls but I am excited to try the chicken salad sandwich recipe ❤️
The first and only time I came across soy curls was, when visiting friends in another state, at a restaurant. I had a delicious noodle soup with soy curls in it. I couldn't find any when I got nack home. Thanks for the video! 😁
These all look so yummy!! 😍 I’ve never cooked with soy curls before and will definitely try the Filipino barbecue recipe first! Then definitely the adobo jerky after☺️
The soy curls giveaway is now closed. Thank you to everyone who entered! The 3 winners have been contacted ♥️🙏🏼

It does the same as soaking, then cooking. 😉 I also love teriyaki soy curls in the air fryer when they have a few blackened spots. It's a cross between jerky and the teriyaki chicken they served at Asian buffets on skewers.
That sounds so good! Do you just put the soy curls in the air fryer after soaking?
Yes! Also boiling water/stock rehydrates them much faster! I do a 1:3 ratio of tvp to liquid (in weight)

I love chicken salad with red grapes, cranberries and curry seasoning. Next level right there. I need to try it with these soy curls!

So much more flavorful. wow they are nowhere in the UK.. this video was the first I'd heard of them...
Much love. X
OK that carne asada looks delicious. That I would try in a heartbeat. Growing up I’d always see my apá adding oranges to his marinade. Took me back! 😍
Every one of these looks amazing but I think I'll try the Filipino Barbecue first. This video is one to save and watch again!
I Love all your recipes but, my favorite i will say it's the chicken salad 😍😘
Thanks 🙏
AMAZING JOB YOU TWO!!! I can not tell you how much I enjoy your videos! Thank you so much for sharing!!
You guys never miss! The vegan carne asada looks out of this world
All the recipes look so good. I can't wait to make all of them. I have never used soy curls before. Thanks for the recipes.
You both are so creative and gives interest to new ideas for vegan cooking-Thank You!
I love it when you share Filipino recipes! 💖
I made bbq soy curls a couple months ago but def want to get more into soy curls. Thanks for these recipies
Don't cry Amithab Bachan your free 😂
The carne asada recipe has been a staple in my lunch rotation for months and I LOVE it!! Im gonna try the jerky next
The first and only time I came across soy curls was, when visiting friends in another state, at a restaurant. I had a delicious noodle soup with soy curls in it. I couldn't find any when I got nack home. Thanks for the video! 😁
I honestly would like to try all this dishes. I never had soy curls before. Thanks for sharing this looks so yummy.
These all look so yummy!! 😍 I’ve never cooked with soy curls before and will definitely try the Filipino barbecue recipe first! Then definitely the adobo jerky after☺️
Hi love you guys! I have grown tire of the chic pea salad sandwich, the soy curls “chicken” salad looks like a great change!!!
Thanks
Amazing recipes. I'm making one today. Can't decide which. Yum
I love using soy curls for chick'n & dumplings. It's very good. I would love to try the soy curls Jerky. I've made delicious Jerky using seitan.
Wow! Never saw these but would make every recipe that you all made. I love vegan jerky so that would probably be my favorite honestly.
