Here in Germany the McRib is sold all year long and I loved it as a child, especially the sauce. Thanks for the recipe ✌
Came here to write the same! It always was like one of the "grown up" burgers to me though, so I only ever had a bite or two of my mum's McRib back then
I envy you
Yeah, Mal ganz ehrlich ich lieb den Kanal hier ❤
Mein gott, I need to go back to the fatherland.
Sauce Stache sent me here. Love your channel! Great recipes for burger lovers. I was just wondering about a vegan McRib!
He's the best! Thank ya!
Me too❣️ 💚🌱🍀✅☺️
Same, the sauce guy sent me too. But it was a while ago.
Dude , you just keep on giving huh. This recipe looks amazing. I will try to get my hands on some jackfruit to give this a try.
Just make sure you get the green unripe jackfruit, not the yellow, sweet one (that’s usually used for desserts). It’s so neat combining this with young jackfruit to muster the texture and aroma. 😊
This looks SO good! Wish I wasn't super allergic to gluten so I could make it, but hopefully people opt for this instead of the actual mcRib :)
I always wanted to know about Seitan! This was far more informative than I could've imagined and the ingredients are all very appetizing, considering the trade off from the store bought stuff. I'm so happy you share these amazing videos! Plus you're funny, happy little mistakes and all!
thank you!!
Thanks for showing the beyond sausage shortcut. Both looked delicious.
Love that you put your RECIPES in the DISCRIPTION BOX AWESOME THANK YOU SO much
Love your channel and your creative recipes.
I have found Vegan fast-food heaven, dude. Ah man I am so happy
I just stumbled onto your channel and I love it! Thank you for veganizing the world!
As always SUPURB JOB this look AMAZING
I used to love the McRib, and they just said that it's back tomorrow... and I'm surprised that I'm having such a hard time... I really want one... but my heart can't take that it's pork. :-( That said, I'm gonna have to try this.
Yeah, give it a try, it's super good!
They look pretty dang awesome! 👍
I am going on 4years vegan.
This channel is GOLD!
🥲
Your channel is flipping amazing, Thank you.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a McRib, but I do remember eating something similar in my elementary school. Who knows what kind of animal parts were in those! This looks great. I just bought Beyond sausages yesterday, too. Thank you!
Amazing as usual.
I NEEDED THIS
Wow so happy to find ur channel
This feels super timely, since I read somewhere today that McD is reintroducing the McRib full time
Oh weird, I didn't realize it was full time! I heard they are releasing it in December.
But this one is vegan
Ooo!!! Definitely going to try the Beyond Sausage route. Hope the sweet Italian flavor will work out cause that’s all I have and I’m not leaving the house again til next week😂
the jackfruit one looks good AF!!!!
Truth be told, when i use to eat animals,
i was never really a fan of the McRib,
or pig flesh in general.
The last time i ate one was...probably in the mid 1980s. I recall, the McRib i ordered, was marbled with tiny pieces of animal cartilage. When i bit into the sandwich, those pieces would get stuck in my teeth. It was AWFUL. It really turned me OFF.
Your version of a McRib, is mouthwatering,
as it is HUNGER INDUCING!!!!!😩👍
Agreed 100%!
I can’t even remember seeing or hearing about a McRib here in Norway. Not sure if it has been available here. Oh well, who cares, not interested in it anyway. THIS version though... 😋 OMG, the clock says 04:17 (a.m) and since I looked at my iPad because I woke up, I’m now not only awake, I have a growling tummy that tells me it wants a McRib❗️ OMG, give me a break, it’ll have to wait, this isn’t kitchen time❗️☺️😋 💚🌱🍀✅👏👏👏
@@lottatroublemaker6130 ☺👍
I've been craving his BBQ sauce recipe
ever since i first watched this video yesterday afternoon!
Oh man. I gotta make something greasy like this soon haha looks so good 😊
Omg, you made a McRib also! My other favorite McDonald's thing I've missed! 😊
Not about mcrib but my dad bought some vegan beyond patties from costco, didn't expect to taste good but damn it actually tastes really good, net exactly like meat, but it has this unique taste and i actually prefer that than actual meat now.
That's awesome! Yeah, the first time I had a Beyond burger, my mind was blown. I was used to boca burgers lol. It's actually one of the reasons I went vegan! Eventually you do prefer the plant-based versions, I think our brains and stomachs just like whatever we are used to! Glad you dig 'em! Try making a McRib with 'em!
Sauce Stache doesn’t use mushroom powder, he uses mushroom seasoning which is more flavorful. He just made mushroom seasoning though, so if you can’t find it in your store, you can make it. 😊
I guess I’m using the word powder and seasoning interchangeably because I got the same stuff as him 👍🏼
Great video - seems sooo delicious and I bet it has fantastic texture with this mix, like Mary’s Test Kitchen’s ribs on steroids! YUM❣️❗️❣️ Thanks, great inspiration❗️ 💚🌱🍀✅ 😊
I love the McRib and now I am able to make it vegan and home made!
damn i definitely know what to do on the weekend
Bun to meat ratio has to be right otherwise its so disappointing 😂 I made seitan twice one time it was really tough and the other it was spongy, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I will try your version, I don’t think I ever had a Mc Rib even when I ate meat. Looks tasty, the cruelty free version only. 😉
This dough and the braising result in a really nice, tender and meaty texture, no spongy at all!
You know damn well mcdonalds isn't using real meat
You should try Henderson Relish from Yorkshire it's like Worcester Sauce but way better and is vegan friendly as they don't use Anchovies like some do.
I lived with a Vegan Flatmate for 2017-2020 and basically adapted all my meat recipes to Vagan ones and found this Hendersons was perfect 👌🏻. I'm not personally vegan but I don't mind eating as such as I tend to cook anyway and don't order in etc so I know exactly what everything will be like and that they will taste good meat or no meat.
Ok ok I’m making this next
Using a hamburger press would have been really helpful, if you don’t mind them being round like a burger. If you go to aliexpress, they have different ones at nice prices (down to a couple of bucks). My two favorites are the cheapest one (white plastic, two pieces, pressing thingie and a mold) and one with a spring, with that you can press the rib/burger straight on the baking tray, which is my very favourite as removing them from the mold may be a hassle sometimes. I bought a large, round grill press there too, which I soooo looooove not only for burgers, but even more so for pressing mushrooms using the «Wicked Healthy method» (instead of using another cast iron pan like they do, the press is so much better and cheaper, and I paid less than $20, beats buying an extra cast iron pan)! 😊💚🌱🍀✅
Thanks I have a couple burger presses. I wanted to keep these like the original so they wouldn’t have helped much :)
what kind of pickles are those and where do you get them from a good pickle makes the burger lol
Thanks for the video. If the gluten/jackfruit one rested over night, it would probably be a little firmer.
OH YEAH BABY
Is there a way to make this gluten free
I don't have jackfruit on hand is there something else I can put instead of the jackfruit in this recipe or the seitan
You can skip the jackfruit if you can’t get it!
These taste alot better with the WTF gluten than the powdered VWG. Plus adding a small amount of acv instead of water with the bullion to make a seasoning paste. Shred the paste and the gluten together in a foid processorand proceed as he says.
Can you just overnight me one? lol. Looks mouthwatering!!
Cooking this as I type.. Let's see how it turns out.. I've tried several recipes of seitan and never cared for the strong gluten taste of it.. So fingers crossed.
I felt the same about seitan until I came across this guy's recipe fir his fried chicken. I use his recipe for many different dishes you can't taste the gluten at all.. Try it out it's awesome..ua-cam.com/video/E330wyf4otY/v-deo.html
Oh, how did it turn out??
@@sarahsuzanne8484 it was pretty good. My carnivore husband liked it, but that was also his first experience with seitan. I added 2 tbl. of hot pepper brine to it.
@@SnowBird79 Great, I think I'll give it a try.. TY
Yup, gotta. Gotta add an acid to kill the cerealish taste.
Are this Mc Ribs Freezable? in order to make a big batch
I haven't tried that, but I don't see why not!
I think if I do the Beyond Sausage way I would braise it before grilling it.
Any substitute for nutritional yeast?
healthmylifestyle.com/the-best-nutritional-yeast-substitutes/
You are making us so hungry. Way too lazy to make that tho. Maybe beyond sausage one. 😜
I wish I had a man that can cook,
Your wife is lucky!
I'm lucky too because she's a great cook as well!
Congrats man
you and sauce stache should make a video together!
Nice… I started making “sausage” from my impossible meat… by adding basically sausage herbs and such…fennel, garlic and onion powder, smoked paprika, etc… I am doing this with that and see what happens… I tend to lean towards impossible and to me beyond just has this “tinge” to it…
I had a minor obsession with the McRib and as a vegan I never thought about making them at home. This looks so good - going to have to try it out! Thank you for this!
Love your videos! Just a bit worried, do you eat healthy stuff too?🤣
Yep!
@@TheeBurgerDude glad
I like the mcrib but its so bad for you so I'm excited to try this out.
I tryed to make that setan, my dough just dissolved to nothing..!
Weigh the whole ball and then divide by six.

I had the _weirdest_ dream last night that I had gone Vegan and ... *Bam!* ... all of a sudden, out of nowhere, you show up on my "Recommend Channels" today.
*Seriously Weird.* 🙃
Rather use the everydaydishtv seitan rib recipe, tried jackfruit and hated it in a pulled pork recipe. Very turned off.
These days you can buy a 16 oz package of beyond meat.
Can you make the Wendy's Dave single burger😊
I've made a Baconator!
I call that komijn
i say Q-men:)
Interesting. Curious- how do you pronounce “coupon”?
@@garya3056 coo-pon, i guess i’m inconsistent lol
@@EveSprinkle well done. Keep ‘em guessing!
Easier and faster to just weigh the whole ball of dough and divide by the six servings being made.
i can understand not eating from slaughterhouses but why let the roadkill they use for mcribs die for nothing?
hmm interesting, does it taste close to real meat?
It's been a while since I've had animal meat, but it definitely reminds me of it!
I just finished watching your video. I appreciate the information you presented. I'm a vegan from New Jersey. I hope to maybe collaborate on information and content in the future. My Instagram is @herfirstbornson .
