Great playthrough as always. At 20 mins when you grabbed the energy resource token it was kind of bad luck because it would have been more valuable in the field somewhere. You can always charge energy for free on planets anyway. Also, you armed markers as part of business phase. Thats actually part of status phase. Free because you were on a planet, but it just was done during the wrong phase. Ultimately, it didn’t change anything.
@@OneStopCoopShop Anytime. I enjoy your playthroughs that teach in rules as you go. This one seemed to have some errors, but overall you make accessing new games easier and enjoyable :). Plus, it's a good gauge of whether I may or may not be interested in a particular title. Cheers!
When you were on Ferrens Call there were 2 mistakes about the mission point but nothing game breaking. First if you already have a chosen mission you wouldn't be able to draw more missions. The other thing is you drew from the same mission point twice in the same round. You can only draw missions from points once per to round but you can hit up different mission points during your turn if you want to draw multiple times during your turn.
Ahh so I can't just draw missions and choose if I want to keep one or not? I have to abort the mission I have to look at more of them? And I did know I could not use the same mission point, just missed that! I will make a note. Do you know about what time I was there in the vid? That blasted Ferrens Call always get me stuck, ha!
Correct, If you want to draw missions you have to have at least 1 open mission slot. So if you upgraded with the M-Comp mod where you can hold 3 missions, you can have 2 active missions and still draw, but once you have 3 then you don't have that open spot anymore and can't draw. 7:40 is when you drew 3 mission cards when you already had an active mission. 10:30 is when you drew a second time from the same mission point during the same turn.
Perfect, well I do this wrong the entire playthrough. . . bummer. I will just make notes. Hard part of a game when you have to read the base rules, expansion rules and solo rules ha! Thanks for keeping me honest!!
Yeah, I had to do the same since I got it all together. Learn the base game, then learn what rules changed with the expansion, the what changes with the solo rules. Lots of flipping through pages of 3 books. This game has lots of little rules and lots of moments where you have to pause your turn because you activated something else. But once you get past all that, this has become one of my favorite games. Definitely a top 5 for me now.
Agreed, I think the hardest part is keeping track of your gosh darn movement when you activate 4 things in 4 different spots on the way. . . Regardless, for me I really enjoy this game due to the story it creates. And each time you play you create an entirely new universe! Have you tried the solo campaign yet? I can't wait to try it!
For a game with this much dice rolling yes! Not sure about totally replacing. We all have to test its luck over the next few plays! Yah the ai is awesome one this game!!
btw, played my first solo game of xia last night. also had the usual suspect merchant, and I think you missed to put 1.000 credit on his card each time he reaches a sell point, so he becomes a more valuable target for you during the game?! at least, that's how I played it.. :) I did a few mistakes but really liked the game, actually won (but am not sure if I would have if I played flawless..). :D
Oh CRAP! I say Wildfire don't I.... I am so sorry. Did not do that on purpose my ability to remember things ones the fly is terrible apparently. Sorry man!!
21:45 I think you have to spend 2 movement points to use an occupied sell point (Xia Rulebook, Using Occupied Spaces, p.9). You're good since you had enough movement points. Yes, the Merchant continues to gain 1000 credits for each sell transaction (Xia Rulebook, NPC Types, p. 15). This rule does not appear overruled in the Xia Embers rulebook. Yes, Wildinferno1984 is correct: a Draw (minor) Action my be taken only "once per Mission point per turn" (Xia Rulebook, Mission Overview, p. 13). Excellent playthough! Where did you get the dice tower?
I had forgotten what a great game this is. Thanks for reminding me.
My pleasure!! Thank you for watching!
I just got this game. Gonna bring it to the table as soon as I finish your series. Thanks for help clarifying the rules.
No problem enjoy!! It is a fun one!
John Dietrich where do you buy this game?

That's seems a really fun game. Lots of dice rolling but, lots of interesting choices. I will look for part two :)
Trash the dive rolling was a turn off at first but the exploration and sand box feel made the game for me! Thanks for watching!
Excited to see how this play through turns out! Love this game.

0:40 Bored Online and Bored Offline? :joy: Good one!
I know what a great name!!
Has the dice tower replaced the Chip Theory dice tray?
I'm impressed with how robust the NPC AI is.

Yah the ai is awesome one this game!!
So when you are on a gravity path on Ferrens Call and you move past the exploration tokens you can't pick them up until you start your ship movement?

I can tell you I did not pay everything 100 percent right ha! Sounds fun though!
doesn't the merchant move/sell twice on the first turn? :)
Don't remember anymore id suggest you ask on bgg! Sorry!
ah explained on turn 2.. thanks!
Oh good glad my past self helped!
You forgot to pay the Merchant ship (adding a coin to his card) for making his first stop at Kemplar II
Ahh I didn't do that since his AI card was the Usual Suspect Card behavior. Are you supposed to do this regardless of which behavior they are using?
Gah!! I want this one so badly!!
It is hard to describe just how much fun this one is. The exploration aspect makes it a fantastic solo!
I need to change my name to wildfire now. Haha
Oh CRAP! I say Wildfire don't I.... I am so sorry. Did not do that on purpose my ability to remember things ones the fly is terrible apparently. Sorry man!!
One Stop Co-op Shop haha. It is absolutely no problem. Just messing with you a bit. Another great video.
Ha still sorry dude. I hate when I do that! Although, Wildfire does sound kinda cool . . . :)
Just updated the link thanks!!

Had the same issue. Sucked it up and bought off ebay.
