Main issue is you can use frog to skip a lot of the maze built surprised not many people mentioned that, if the gap is small enough wolf form could even do it.
Yep. The way I see the maze, it more exists to punish/discourage greedy raiders who think they could get to the top floor without keying the heart. So, you put a few walls on the side of the maze to prevent frog jumps but also too far for them to destroy the wall conveniently.
Can you jump onto roof tiles? Not sure as I haven't tried it yet. Still playing solo a bit to get all the changes down before I enter the fray!
yeah frog can jump two roof tiles, 3 is too far though. So in the case of the maze you could skip most of it.
Can't wait for this to come to Console. Feel like this is going to be a 1000hr game for me

Should slap down some alchemy floors in your summoning circle rooms to save on greater shards
Also interesting, I didn't know you could get stuff like succubi as servants or prisoners, figured they weren't "human" enough for "dominate human" to work
On the 2nd castle entrance, can't you build a single-wide staircase (or two) on the terrain slope to add a rail in the middle and prevent the golem from firing the line attack up? I dunno if that works, that's just a random thought I had

Well sir, your first base you show is not the furthest but pretty far from being a perfect base. It is easily breachable, your servants are literally no use, might as well not put them in your castle. The entrance at the very far is kinda good but the side entrance is unbelievably bad. Golem's range attack is 4,5 tiles. You can't hit golem if it decides to range attack. But this is not the problem. Problem is you have no spot to go there and defend the entrance. You only have 1 door in front of the spot that you can go out and fight normally, side places for skill spam will only increase the amount of golem it takes to breach. You having banshees there will %60 of the time won't help too much since they are pffensive to you as well. Banshees are not a defensive tool to defend your castle instead of you. 30 banshees won't deal more damage than 4 of you do. Once it's under breach, servants start to lose health by time passes. Your servants will be left with %70-80 of their max health if you can manage to hold people off a bit after breach. There won't be even need for a second explosive to bomb the servants. Your staircase at the minute 8:00 can be walked from left side by breaking the walls to the left of it so actuallty, people don't necessarily have to go through your banshees. Yes you can open them but I'm just correcting this. Please make a proper entrance at right side of the base and move servants at the entrance.
Because right now, a team with 1 player with surge and 1 player with curtain will easily raid you by making the golem go up, you cant throw projectiles since there are curtain, you can't go out from door since there is only 1 door and golem is blocking it. You can't even properly spam skills from side doors if your enemy have 1-2 death knight users which if they do know how to play, they will
Don't take this in a bad way but, before posting this as a perfect base, you gotta make sure that it is at least functionable against some decent players.
And for the other base, at min 26, you can't move your stygian summoning circle when castle is under attack so, forget about that solution
We never said it was the perfect base. We talk about our build and things that can help people make their PvP castles better. We call out the issues we have with our location and there isn't very much you can do with how narrow this plot is at the front. It also held against 12+ skilled pvp players until we discovered a glaring flaw with that plot that allows people to bat form and attack from behind.

@@LegacyGamingUS If that base held against 12+ skilled pvp players, I'm sorry, they are not skilled at all. Virdult is a god at this game and I'm pretty sure he could take on your base solo/duo. One skilled pvp player is worth those 12 chumps that tried to take you guys on.
I haven't done pvp yet in this but I was pretty good in setting castle traps back in 2022. Did similar things, but are Undead priests out of the game? With the summons by themselves they could lag most systems and prevent people reacting! I still remember letting a duo challenge my base and watching as they were coming back running away from the hordes of banshees and skellys they broke into!
I’d love a series showing from server wipe how you get to this stage because this seems so unattainable
14:00 am i missing something with that layout ? cant they just jump over those 1-2 tiles directly on that flower field and skip the whole path?
I wish there would be a way to get a snap shot of this, so you can rebuild it and adjust it to your liking.

Does castle teleporter works if you have two castle heart/two territories? like one in gloomrot, one in farbane? or it's only works on single territory?

Kudos for you for trying to decorate your base even if people use honeycomb meta constantly, your castle looks pretty!

If you could only have 5 servants, what would be the best setup for pvp defense?

I joined a pvp server with my friends. All 3 quit within a week so I was stuck by myself and got raided by 3 lvl 90s. That was enough for me to retire.
Ok I have a serious question. Would it not be better to leave no doors on the main floor? An outer wall and completely enclosed main floor? With those traps redirected to protect the heart? I haven't tried this yet...But with teleportation. Im not seeing the drawbacks...yet lol

Yep we widened the gap like less than a day after recording this.

awesome castle and setup! but also soo funny, how as soon as u bragged about the shadow from roof, and sun setup, at ur front gat.. the sun came out. and showed, ..shadows outside always depend on the time..lol.

Thank you for explaining what you put in your vampire chests. I couldn't for the life of me find anyone talking about what they put in there. First raid weekend coming up tomorrow on PS5. Really excited to put these tips in place. Awesome base dude. Is this realistic for a 3 month wipe server? I play solo
Will the Blood Witch despawn at some point? Or can you summon it at a chokepoint the enemies need to go through and just let it sit there until you get raided? On that same not how about Mutant defences? Put unimportant prisoners in and around a chokepoint and feed them a bunch of gruel until they transform and then just move the prison out of the room. It's a bit finicky because you can't stack a bunch of them in a room. But 3-4 should be enough to slow the attackers down and maybe kill one or two or even the golem if they aren't careful.
It doesn't despawn but you can only summon 1 at a time

question is raiding in this game expensive? The base of the question , is it easy to offline someone or would it take long enough for you to come online like ark with turrets
when people key you, they can use your teleporters.
I was just gonna say this. So in a way all that design from the second floor is kinda wasted sadly. Might be better to honeycomb some of the 2nd floor to force them to use a key but that's about all i can think of. Maybe on your teleport to 3rd put your rat nests there as well.
@@abilityup6734 I am sure they are smart enough to delete the other end of their teleporters when someone drops a golem on them.
We dismantle teleporters at the beginning of a major raid since it's easy for us to get down
I don't get the key part? Why wouldn't you put your castle heart further away so they don't key it on the 2nd floor?

How do you the rood tiles on the first floor to be flat? Also, not have the pillars from the below floor cause larger pillars on the floor above when you have no wall there. For example, when you're showing the sun trap on the first floor, the "railings" have levelled off pillars in most places (so they block less sun). And the roof tiles are flat?
Flat roofs happen when you're more than 2 tiles away from any border/wall. Small pillars happen when you use the invisible foundation around a foundation without adding walls and pillars to it

Golems can't climb up stairs or destroy them. That's why they're good for making choke points.
@@abilityup6734 Hmm, okay. So what if I have build stairs in the front, that should funnel the attackers up on 2nd floor. but there is build some honeycomb on the 1st floor. Will the golem just stay on the 1st floor destroying the path until it reaches the heart? Meaning my def. is just for the players? :D Guess ill have to move it down :D Thanks, awesome game guides you guys make

Im so glad that castle design is relying less on honeycomb. While I understand its purpose its ugly and costly to install. I am curious how some enemies work as servants and if they are worth it? Some of the ranged enemies, like the rail gunners and flame thrower guys in gloom rot might be interesting if you can give them a good vantage point. Im sure the idea of flooding hallways with fire has some merit.
Honeycomb is actually super cheap. The group I'm with have so many stone and planks just stacked up that it's almost sad I can't honeycomb things more. They won't let me honeycomb the third level, only the first and second floors. It's also not that ugly when you are always using teleporters to go straight to the third floor. Literally the people I was with thought it was going to be bad, and then realized they went days without ever realizing what was on the first floor. The banshee room came as quite a shock to them when I asked for help to clear it since on the server I'm on raiding is only on weekends, and I didn't want to leave them up for five days when I could harvest them instead.
@@michaelmurray6197 I play by myself. I find the barrier to entry for multiplayer to be rather high if you dont already have friends. Im sure a team of four can grid out mats like mad. I understand the need for it but it just feels like a necessary evil to me. I wonder if there is a way to station ranged servants in ways that they can attack from cover or something? I like the idea of forcing your enemy to walk down a narrow hallways that gonna fill with fire. Siege and castle engineering is fun and I feel that there are more creative ways to deal with your foes than honey comb spam.

Genuine question - since stairs are indestructible, could you not just block one entrance with stairs?
You can't put a staircase adjactent to another staircase so it's not possible.
It didn't occur to me to use the summoning circle. I may have to redesign my base...
Training dummies also can tank shots from golems ans players put them near walls you want to be tankier and save them some damage
how does he have 8 servants? I can only build 5 coffins and my castle is at level 5

Well the number of servants can be adjusted in the advanced settings so just increase the number or ask the person whose server it is to.
If you want your servants to die until the opponent reaches the top floor, you can make a base like this

Nope. You can't bat form into any claimed territory.

do you actually get raided? we are on a pvp server but no raiding, and no one pvps people are nice and mostly help each other which is cool but were thinking about rolling again on a raid allowed server and wondering if people actually pvp and raid actively
Our server has 50+ golems each pvp night :) /wknds.
Sad part is that with each weekend we lose a duo. that gets madge for ppl stealing all the loot so they quit. guess that the circle of vampire life
question, why did you make all blood merlots instead normal blood potions? there is no benefit over them? or you just did bcos you have the spare the resource anyways?

I just got raided. 2 golems killed all my servants and me... couldn't do any damage too them. They busted through my graveyard, alchemy lab, 5 servants (limit on server). Made me quit as if i lost due to messing up fine... but indestructible goelsm? not so much.

It's over when your base gets keyed. Especially when you are on an official server with no rules and you get teamed.
Mid at best. Defence oriented on people to bring 1-2 golems, no keys, being blind to not spot gaps at stairs etc.
