Brian, absolutely agree that there are too many changes. I was in the Philippines in the 1980s and it was a blast and we did not have the Korean takeover. Sad to say, I will not return due to the changes even though I love the Philippines and its people.
I posted a message that it was good to see the Angeles gov put the slap down on the korean bar.. I do not at all like how they treat the girls. I guess Philly- or UT removed the comment? I will not go to Angeles because of what they've done to the area.

I was at Phillies last week and that girl was there, same clothes. She kept hanging around starring at me! I stopped Adrian and was talking to him and she just would not go away.
She is a regular around walking street.
that's heartbreaking, if I were there I would have spotted her $20 bucks, most likely she would not leave me alone, but at least some food in her stomach😪

@@PhillyinthePhilippinesI heard you have to get past the security guard in the guard station in front of the hospital…but he can be paid off…I would be afraid to go in there as I heard it is now haunted if u believe in that stuff…I got admitted into that hospital for a shrapnel wound in 1972…and it was a fantastic hospital…but so many of my fellow soldiers died in there as well..got discharged in 1976 from Clark AFB and it seems like yesterday even tho I’m 71 yo now..

i get top dollar at land bank they always give best rate and depending how much you exchange if you talk to manger you can get even more

Is it best to bring in dollar in the Philippines and then exchange them locally or your BPI or Land Bank? Every now and then I send money via Western Union from the states but it’s lower than I see on Brian’s vlog. Thanks ahead for your additional comments if anymore.

Have you ever been to the PI? Unless you live way way back in the province where mass transit can not reach you, I would say yes, you need one. Otherwise, save yourself a whole bunch of problems and take a bus, tok tok, jeepney or van. They are cheap, abundant, SAFER, and cheaper than buying, maintaining, and pulling dents out of a car.
Plus, if it is your fault and you or the victim is taken to the hospital, it can bankrupt you.

I was there a couple weeks ago and love to sit at the place across from monsoon and watch the people’s going by. I don’t go into the bars as I always feel like I’m doing something bad when I don’t take a date home with me. I like to watch them dance and chat but I don’t like to give my money away for that so not as fun as I would like but it’s fine, I did go into a live blues bar down from my hotel that played everything but blues on Saturday night and the ladyboy act was fine until they started the who can hold the highest note for the longest time that served to only give me a headache rather than entertain. So if your looking for live blues the blues bar down from Clarkton is not the place to go…;)

When you were talking about explats talking about back in the day, well my back in the day was in the 1970's 1975 to 1979 in Subic Bay/Olongapo the local bars use to have live sex shows to the point where you can get up on stage and participate, one of the clubs was called The Sierra Club in Subic Bay and the peaso was 8 pesos to One American Dollar and your San miguel Beer or Red Horse Beer was only 25 centavos and the bar fine for one girl was only 6 american dollars and they gave you a receipt too funny. But that was during Marcos and curfew you had to be off the street from 1 am to 5 am the Philippine Military would patrol the streets to include the American Armed Forces Police which does not exist anymore. So that's my back in the day story and no I never got up on stage during the live sex shows it got to crazy, LOL
