We've had this kiosk thing for quite some time here in Ontario, Canada; but we still can order at the counter; because many people; especially the elderly have no idea how to use the self kiosks.
That guy at the new bar under construction said this new bar will have “maraming pek pek!” LOL!😅

Think about this. In the US fast food workers want $20 a hour so if you have kisosk you can eliminate counter staff.
Yeah and the CEO makes 1.3 million a year plus another 4 plus
million in incentives.
We have had that kiosk for 3 years. But it is not mandatory.
Yes it’s definitely Hot here. I’m right in Bacolor Pampanga right now for eighteen days!! I’m from Connecticut and it’s only in the 60s there.
The dollar is strong against other currencies at the moment too. It was even higher in oct 2022 at over 59.

First meal in Cebu was McDonald's,,told the wife,,OH you have McDonald's, she thought I said let's go to McDonald's,,so after 25 hrs flight my first meal was McDonald's, lol..
Same for me in Cebu in Mactan...was about only thing open late serving food.
Its been like that here in US for a long while, even grocery check outs are self serve now .
Nice McDonald’s. It is clean and you know there is a standard on meal preparation. It is cool how you just run into Junior on your weekly walk.

Any news of it coming back? There are always rumours around but yeah I have had many happy memories at HS. All the others now are rubbish.. HS had always attracted a lot of HOT young FL's ready to mingle..

McDonald’s here in America is grossly overpriced… a value meal will cost you around 14 dollars…. It’s better to go elsewhere and get better food. I haven’t eaten McDonald’s in about 2 years…

I remember going into restaurants and they would get your order wrong because they misunderstood u. Then came apps and kiosks where u choose what want all by yourself so no more misunderstandings. Turns out they don’t read them past the item. Often anything u take off or want to add isn’t what u get. They just see Big Mac and build all the same way. Maybe a robot kitchen staff and a order kiosk works better

I liked the old school McDonald's pay at counter and you're foods is ready instead of all this touch screen I also missed original McDonald's buildings all gone now looks awful designed security got a gun at vikings bar

The McDo here in Malolos area has had the “kiosk” system for at least the past 3 years. It’s easy to use. It’s also hot here too 😎

Yup, my McDo looks like that in Porac. Newer build though. I actually prefer to order from the kiosk machine. Reminds me of the setup they have in the States.
Last time Mcd for me....about '20(?), drive up for coffee. Ate breakfast there probably '17-'18(?). Don't even coffee there anymore. The breakfast burrito had absolutely no taste. Haven't had a burger there most likely since '11-'12, during our move, again, tasteless. It was in our FF rotation up to about '08-'09 but stuff just became blah.

McDonald here in Uk had those machines last 6 years can pay with card and order on app also
They must have been around in Europe since 2016-2017. These Filipino style kiosks where you have to pay at the counter (so it doesn't actually make the ordering process any faster) were already around at least since 2019 because I used one in Boracay.
And McDonald's in the Philippines..quality, top rate staff..clean, pleasant and great at food handling

Looks just like the McDonalds in my state. I rarely go to McDonald’s but when I do I don’t see anyone using the automated kiosk. There will be two lines with two or three people in line to order at the counter.

The workers just look at me funny when I ask for my employee discount when I place my order at the kiosk.
San Francisco McDEE's has had those kiosk for years down the street from PH embassy, that's a fact Jack!!!
With a kiosk, better chance you’ll actually get what you ordered, unfortunately. I’d rather deal with a human but it is what it is!

Our local McDonald's is permanently closed due to poor management. I just order burgers from the local restaurant. They are great and cost just as much as fast food

Big shout out to Jeff the Gossip Princess in Japan you are now Philly's little Beeeoocch. The 57.20 to the dollar is because right now they have underdeveloped agriculture and industrial production making the peso depreciate which makes imports cost more. Has nothing to do with a strong US economy because if you live here you know that's not the case

The peso is weak against the dollar. Good for those bringing money in. Reason is that interest rates are much higher in the usa than in the philippines, and as of recent the expectation of interest rate cuts is lower than it was at the start of the year, pushing more money into the dollar and driving the dollar stronger by this demand to capture the higher interest rates. Armchair economist here 🥳
USD is getting high vs. many currencies. Korea, Japan are the same. Local currencies loosing value vs USD.
All our Burger King and McDonald's are like that now...Around metro Detroit.
Not sure these would work in Bayambang. Half the food is unavailable and you probably wouldn't know until you've been waiting 30 minutes. It would be nice though if they updated availability on the kiosk, since the poor girls get nosebleeds every time I try to order. City life vs province life.

@@bobfrantz534 I m overseas right now and can get a big Mac meal for about $5 that's a meal that has to be shipped half way around the world from the McDonald's corporate supply to here and only pay $5 so what's wrong with that story its just and excuse to raise prices since now they will only make 10 billion profit since the wages went up instead of 40 billion profit its just greed the average person can barely get by but corporations are making billions??? So sad!
@krallboyandthewife4261 u don't understand business...I too spent many months in Philippines...by the way, a lot of what they used made right there, each unit must be profitable...u can't run a business without ea. Holding up its share..McDonald's profits are world wide..with thousands of units with much of the profit coming from real estate month rents collected from each unit...that's not used to figure if a unit is profitable or not. But I can guarantee there's not going to be very many $15 hrly employees for wrong....automation is available for every step of that operation and we all will see it soon in all fast food operations....give it 5 yrs and those jobs will be gone forever...but restaurants will do fine. Passing laws will never work when trying to tell owners how to run their business.

Personally, I don't like the kiosks for ordering food.. Drive through is better. And there is not someone nearby to help with kiosks when it's a mistake pressing wrong buttons.
Quarter pounder is the only American sandwich. Everything else has meatloaf tasting beef. Just gross.
Regular burgers and even the big mac is terrible. Fries are always soggy.
Maccas in the Philippines sure is different to Aus the only chicken they sell is chicken nuggets. Either in a 6pak, 12pak, 18pak and they are advertising 24paks at the moment. Apparently theres a bucket as well. Yo! Philly looks like High season was low season due to how the Peso is taking a hit. What do you think by august or Sep. it reaches 60+ pesos per dollar maybe even 70? GoPro gets hot cause of the BLACK case it absorbs those sun rays maybe u need to find a white edition GoPro but I doubt they make it. Cheers from Los Angeles, Ca.
