I really like this no buy month content. Have you considered doing a no buy month every year? I think it would be interesting content wise as well as to hear your feelings about it. :)
I have to tell you I almost broke my no buy year today. Almost. Most of the time I am silent viewer. Hopefully by sharing this other people can take refuge in the humanity in others and give them reason to believe they can change too. When I started my no buy year I set precise rules similar to the ones you set for yourself during your no buy year. During my planning I made an exception based on trips I knew I would be making during 2022. Every new place I travel to I find local artists shops and thrift stores to purchase beautiful things as souvenirs. I knew I would be traveling and put the exception in the plan. Last month I traveled to Alaska for the first time and allowed myself to purchase souvenirs from the trip, including clothing if I wanted. Normally I would have gone wild and had to stuff my bags to the brim or send things home. This trip? I purchased ONE wooden spoon that was carved by a local man. When I returned home I was so proud of myself for being disciplined and thoughtful about my purchase. I use my wooden spoon nearly every morning to make and eat my oatmeal. Although the no buy has caused suffering, it is working. I am learning. I am changing. Today though.. I convinced myself I needed new white tank tops because the only two I have have become stained beyond removing this year and I only wear them around the house now. I talked to my partner about how I wanted them and “needed” them. “It’s like replacements because I will use the other ones for rags now” I said. He agreed that it made sense and off I went! I drove to the store and started looking through the racks. After about five minutes of looking I had a WTF and I doing!?moment. In my mind I scolded myself for trying to make a loop hole! I started to cry and left. When I got to my car I felt SO proud of myself! I do not need to “replace” my white tank tops. I need to wear my other clothes. I have plenty. Lately events in my life have caused additional stress and I almost began resorting to my old, destructive behavior of coping with shopping. I’ve been emotional all day and felt compelled to share. Apologies for the grammatical errors, I’m more of a numbers gal! 😂
I am also mostly a silent viewer. But I wanted to share that your comment reached other people, and I am really glad you posted. Once I started paying attention to what attracted me & I figured out what my preferences were, it became a little easier to not buy new makeup. I know I have an affinity for certain colors, color combos & metallic, shifty, sparkly textures--they just get me. My closet is full of them & I have bought multiples of them in eyeshadow without realizing (until I sat down & started swatch comparing & doing regular inventories/declutters) It really makes a difference to routinely re-acquaint yourself with your own belongings. It's easy to forgot what you have when the allure of something new enchants you 🧚♀️
The love of the hobby - that hit the mark with me. I've found myself creeping into the cycle of buying the makeup moreso than using it. Thank you for the heartfelt and sincere reminder of the hobby of makeup. The why. ❤️
I end up slipping into old shopping habits too and am usually disappointed with the new purchases. I have been duping the vibe like HLP and have been having so much fun pulling all my makeup out and swatching it. I rediscovered my favorite blush and have been wearing it everyday since.
soooo many favorite, beautiful products just ending up siiting in a bin. ALSO, when it's all ab new new new all the youtubers end up reviewing the same ten products and it's so boring to sit through. I have favorite youtubers that I like as people from what I know, but I don't watch their videos bc they're all doing the same thing as each other. and forget ab tutorials anymore!.
@@selfcarewithstephanie3519 i'm investing in clear shelves ( i can link some if you're interested- i'm not even a youtuber- i'm a makeup pro who just wants others to use their collections) so I can get rid of my bins and SEE everything. The background of your videos in the new place is LOVELY, I feel like we are sitting in a lounge room together having a cup of tea and talking beautiful things
It’s L-Y-S stands for Love Your Self. Alicia Archer did a great review of the brand . Triangle shape is a symbol for change. Also black owned business and woman owned business. Love their foundation.
I feel the sentiment of that last part in relation to my crafting hobby. I had always been an over spender on craft supplies to the point where I would never actually get through it all - liking the idea of a thing rather than the thing itself and neglecting what I already had. Though not perishable like makeup it was definitely too much and I had to make a conscious effort to curb that spending. I had to remind myself (as you did in this video) that I have a crafting hobby, not a shopping hobby, and what I actually enjoy is the making/creating with said suppies. I essentially put myself on a craft supply no buy until I get through (and enjoy) what I already own.
I ordered the Nouveau palette. Unfortunately for me, I like it better online than I do in person. I was imagining the shimmers would be magnificent. 2 of the shades are interesting and beautiful, but the rest are just pretty run of the mill. Lack luster even. I'm considering returning it, especially since I think some shades are causing an allergic reaction on me.
I agree 100%. I mean, its a nice palette sure-but its nothing to write home about...especially w/ all the other eyeshadows I own (which isn't excessive excessive, but ya know, I have a good handful of palettes. And zero shame to anyone who has loads of palettes- shame can kick rocks.)
I love how organized your description boxes are, when when resisting the urge to click ALL of the links! Is it just me or is July flying by? I've hardly had the chance to resist the urges to buy!
Just wanted to tell you I was really inspired with your explanation for your no buy month of July enough for me to do my own. I had been purchasing a lot of art supplies and have spent the whole month reacommodating, using and enjoying what I have and have realized I don’t need that much. It’s just an impulse now that I live by myself as an empty nester and get bored. Thank you!
Any recommendations for channels like Hannah’s, but more fashion-focused? I was never much into it, but thanks to Hannah’s fashion videos, I am now obsessed.
Alyssa Beltempo has a lot of "shop your closet" and "duping the vibes" content, if that's what you're looking for. HauteLaMode has really fun, analytical fashion commentary. I wouldn't say either of these channels are "like Hannah's" exactly, but they both have different elements of what I like about Hannah's content.
I love the no buy videos. As for the Westman Atelier in Nectar it is the only product I have ever returned to Sephora. I have a house swarming in teen and young 20s girls so usually if I don't like something they get it. But the Nectar, it may be my skin tone but I returned it because I already have a $1 dupe...Vaseline No color, wet look because it is wet and sticky, seriously was like Vaseline in a stick for me. I do love the blushes.
I love the way you layer blush and highlight. It's always an inspiration for me. The other day after your video I swatched all of my blushes, found a bunch that were either on the way out or totally dead. I didn't realize powder blush could just die like that...to be fair some of them were like 10 years old. Now I have a much better edited collection and instead of wanting to shop I actually can see the blush that still works So for longevity in terms of product life: winners are Physicians Formula and The Balm, losers are colourpop, nyx and makeup geek.....
I was determined not to buy the Noveau palette, despite all of the positive reviews. Then I passed by it while shopping at Sephora. No regrets, it's a lovely palette and I'm quite enjoying it. 🥰
I really appreciate the reminder that the shopping part isn't the hobby! I do get enthralled by all of the newness that's released constantly, but when I truly stop to flesh out why that product is calling to me, I can typically point to a product that I already own for the same reason! I have implemented a no-buy for the rest of the year unless I truly run out a necessary item entirely. The goal is to learn to love what I already have and get creative in how I use those items to create looks similarly to how you did today.
I've really been finding your videos to be a great tool in decreasing my desire to spend. I've been saving for the Clionadh release in August and I'm trying to not add any eyeshadow to my collection until I've seen all those new shades and picked a few.
I love these types of videos! So inspiring to do the same with my own collection. I'm in the "hate" category for cheap packaging on luxury products, though. One of the things that's helped me not impulse buy items is realizing that the aesthetics of packaging really impact how much I enjoy using the product. So I've learned to pass on products that appeal to me if the packaging is ugly or would be hard to clean or likely break quickly.
still such a valuable video. It tells me that desire and enthusiasm for a thing is actually a positive and valuable emotion and instead of puritanically squashing it and be miserable we should redirect it and treasure it. I feel that a reason why we are drawn to overstimulating marketing is that we rely on it to make us feel something…so how precious is it when we can learn to sustain those feelings ourselves instead of numbing ourselves to escape the influence of advertisements.
Hey Hannah ! I really respect your approach to make up. With all the influencers usually encouraging us to shop.I can’t help but appreciate even more how you are different. You teach us how to make better decisions and think things through. I imagine it probably makes it more difficult for you financially with sponsorships. But I really hope not because people like you are what we need on this platform!. At one point I had a huge makeup addiction and had to stop watching my favorite beauty UA-cam channels bc as soon as I saw something shiny I was at Sephora. I know an influencers job is to sell. But I think people are really going to appreciate your balance and people like me that are obsessed with makeup will love hearing your vivid descriptions of every aspect of the product. I just love ur channel!!! Lol PS do you have any videos about multichrome indie brands? I’d love a video of you describing mutichromes and duochromes
Hello, (kinda) new subscriber here! :3 I recently have been watching your videos and I really like your commentary and opinions, you have made me become a little more aware of what I buy and the reason behind it. I do struggle with mental health and I usually have a hard time with wanting to buy anything mainly makeup or skincare related that catches my eye without thinking how if it's worth it or not. I do get frustrated when I think I need some new product even though almost 100% of the time i'll end up not liking it or even shifting my attention to another product. I have felt like I have so many products that just didn't work out for me and they're just sitting there because I don't want to throw away "money" or the product itself (especially when i've begged my mom to buy something when I can't at the moment). I do like buying things but I almost start to feel guilty when I'm at checkout getting something new, sometimes I end up freaking out when a product is more than $20 too. However I have tried researching more about what products could work for me and compare it to what I have. You and along other youtubers have made me want to really think if it's something completely new that I don't have? Do I just want it for the hype? Am I buying it because I feel like I have to buy something? Is it even at a decent price? Will it be a hassle to use or will it be an extra unnecessary step? Am I going to use it on the regular or just on "special occasions" ? I decided that I was going to do a No-Buy July as well , and recently I noticed i'm running out of some products and I made a list about what I'll need to restock on/what I'll change and then make a separate list writing what has been catching my eye before I choose to buy something. And in regards to clothes and stuff like that, i'll be trying to see what I can donate or sell that I just don't gravitate towards and then do something similar to what I did with my beauty products. But anyways, love your content and your 'vibe', you've been a great role model in decreasing my craving to spend. I'm also glad we have similar tastes so I know you'll have some great recommendations !!
Hannah, I love your videos in general but these are just incredible. It’s a master class in the fine art and skill of appreciation and connecting with ourselves, which is truly a nourishing form of self care that also helps us mindfully align with what our true values actually are. I love that you do this ‘slow down’ of the excitement frenzy involved in shopping for something beautiful in real time so that you can demonstrate one realistic way to connect with our own desires through doing a little analysis and playtime of what is really drawing our attention and interest. Hopefully it inspires us all to connect more with ourselves and our values and actually get more of what we truly want. You’re a gem in this space on the internet and I am here for it!! 🙏🏼❤️
Great video as always! Love this series. Sidenote: the lys triple fix serum foundation has recently caught my interest. The ingredients in this foundation look nice and non-irritating to me. Haven't tried anything from Lys yet personally though.
I needed this video today! My no buy attempt has gone out the window...I broke my foot and I am couch bound for the summer. I've been spending all my downtime online shopping and I need a reset. Lovely video as always 😊
The ABH palatte looks beautifully muted and evocative, but I wonder if Pat McGrath’s midnight Sun paired with any pastel muted eggy green or lilac purple would have given you the “vibe” already. And in some sense, I feel as if ABH’s best palette that evokes fine visual art is neck and neck with Pat’s vision too. I am a sucker for Pat’s work with Galiano, and to me they occupy the same space. Now I even wonder if this ABH palette looks so beautiful via familiarity because they have a similar visual intrigue. Murky green and purple is the color that reminds me of foliage and flowers I’d see in my photographer friend’s rendering of Maryland (very poetic). I am so tempted by this palette but have to give it a pass. After all I got the midnight sun palette, and one of the greens and bronze colors actually got me into murky green browns as well lol
I unfortunately fudged my no buy. I was caught in a whirlwind of emotions bc of a really bad flare up of hormonal acne and ended up renewing my sub for curology. I tried it back in 2018 but I was basically a baby back then and I had 0 patience. But just bc I fudged up doesn't mean I can throw *all* my effort down the drain!! Thank you for the inspiration, I love the drapey coral blush with the mucky bronze. I live for "bad" color combos I think they're so pretty
At the end you’re describing my interactions with my book hobby. The collecting of books and reading of books are two different hobbies and I enjoy both.
Maybe I’ve said it before, but I recently purchased the Fenty cream bronzer in Amber, and I feel like you would love it even more than I do, and I’m obsessed! I’m not as pale as you, but I’m very red, the neutral tone of this product helps to neutralize the red in my skin and looks so pretty on the cheek. No orange, no shadow that look like I got dirt on my face, just a lovely neutral shade that is a great blush or bronzer for very pale skin. I don’t know how to contour, but my daughter says it’s great for that too :p
I completely agree with your decision to work on cheeks first. I also was having makeup playtime thinking and fantasizing about new eventual makeup and then said wait, I think I have something already. When I was right, I was instantly impressed and relieved that I could use something that existed in my arguably small collection. My takeaway from this video is Remembering your purpose to buy. And longevity. 😁
Well, listening to you talk about makeup makes me think of how i think about clothes and cooking but Absolutely cannot do with makeup. Your vision with application is so inspiring and helps me recognize how much I do not need to buy certain things since I am not skilled or knowledgeable enough to do with them what you do.
They say it's L.Y.S and it stands for love yourself 😘 BTW love you so much Hannah ! I literally watch one of your videos every night before bed. I truly find that you are the most well spoken person "I know" and I find it admirable. There is something calming about that. You are a part of my day and I am so grateful to have found you and your channel ❤️❤️❤️ Love you, take extra good care of yourself too Hannah 🥰😘
LYS is a lovely brand: LOVE YOUR SELF❤️ the few products I own are closer to drugstore prices, yet perform well. They have a Kosas lip dupe for 5.00, or free often with purchase!
Please yes LYS self sponsored review! I'm pretty sure it's L-Y-S. I have their cream blush in Empower. It's banana pancakes - the color in person is cozy-sassy-cool!! And the formula is so forgiving! I would sooooo love to see what you think of more of their products. Alllllllso, gurl, I know how you feel about Isamaya, buuuut I saw Kackie review and I bought it. It's LIT-RALLY impossible to keep those dang phalanges outta this thing. It IS grunge. And that mascara - whuuuuaaaatttt the heck?!?! Kackie was like, it really curls.....Holy macaroni, batman does it CURL!!! I've been severely unimpressed with the curling of other mascaras, but it happens FAST. I even put it on over a tubing mascara and boop! Curl city. I just think that BECAUSE you are the our Grunge Boss Bitch, it would be that much more meaningful to see you do a self sponsored review of something like this.
Hannah I appreciate you so much! Also your hair is looking so good. I got my hair cut into a shag/shaglet bcoz of u! I’ve got 2C curls & shorter (shoulder length), but I’m going to grow it out to look like a real shag. This was such a good video. I was hv #FOMO today on Too Faced Better Than Chocolate. I can’t buy it. I joined a perfume club that gives you perfumes at a discount (not fakes, it’s their own brand), so i will be happy to see this in my mailbox every month. Just like boxy’s/Ipsy’s. I had horrible luck w scent bird. They sent me grandma scents. I needed a strong reminder why I am doing “low-buy-July” I had got a couple of things, but I am no where near I was in 2021 w/ tryna deal w lock down, but I am dealing w something happening now that is making me quite skint. So now is the time to rly enact a v v low buy.. ive blown July’s budget but it is 5 days left in the month so. I can make it til next month. But wow I mean *why* do I keep thinking on Too Faced palette ive got a ton of browns, the pop of blue rly sucked me in. I’ve got an entirely blue palette in my collex. I wanted a GXVE lipstick too I mean I got 1 I wanted another. I knō I can dupe it too. “rosy mauve” is its description, like i can’t dupe that?????
It is L-Y-S beauty. It stands for Love Your Self (I take issue with this in a very non-consequential way lol) And yes please do a full brand review. I would absolutely love to know about this brand.
I love your whole look today its fresh and pretty! And you are the one that turned me onto the persona glosses and I bought coral due to your love for it. My all time favourite gloss by persona is hibiscus and I am thoroughly loving panning it. It will definitely be a repurchase once I finish it but I am not rushing.
So happy to see this video! I'm fighting my own desire for the ABH Nouveau pallete. I don't need it, but I'm just drawn to that color story. Looking in my own small but mighty collection, I have neutrals and bronzes a plenty that could satisfy that itch.
I would be really fascinated for you to do one of these videos where you actually go to Sephora physically. Even if you don’t feel like you would be able to film while you’re in there. I find there is a difference between what I want to buy from imagery online, and what I want to buy from the marketing in the store!
I would love to see a video as we end out July about whether or not you still want the things you mentioned earlier in the month, just going through them one by one!
Thanks for yet again inspiring makeup play in lieu of purchasing new makeup! I love what you said about the new shiny packaging reeling us in - when, in fact, you already have your preferred version of the tool it represents. A word of caution for the LYS cream bronzer - good formula, but it does lean a spot orange. I totally support that as a review purchase, but I also suggest the Uoma contour/highlight stick instead. I'm not quite as pale as you, but that's one of the only cream bronzers that doesn't pull orange on me - and it makes a great cheek color generally. The formula is really similar to the LYS one, but the Uoma stick has just fallen out of the hype zone, I think.
This is a great series and an inspiration for those days when I just want to buy everything from Sephora. I’m starting a no buy August! Thanks for the inspiration.
You no doubt can dupe the ABH palette but it is lovely and I feel like there are so many looks from this. Think it might end up being a great day and night constant now. Glad I don't regret my purchase. 😀
Re: Westman Atelier, I will say that the longterm benefits of some of their ingredients have made it worth me having far less makeup, and spending less time shopping because they're just so, so good. I basically traded the hobby of makeup shopping (and the inevitable expensive result) for most of my makeup being WA, and I'm happy with both ends of that choice.
Love this series. What is the necklace you are wearing? Im assuming one is the super dainty one but I feel there is a second necklace. I looked in your links and I saw a link to MV site but not the specific necklace.
Have I been applying my blush and bronzer incorrectly my whole Life??? I really like the way you apply it. Is there a particular reason you apply it higher up?
Hi Hannah - I really am tempted to buy the Ellis faas collection after watching your video like the capsule container and everything. It’s pretty hard to find any reviews on the brand or info about the quality of the packaging. I also am nervous about picking a concealer shade after watching your video because it’s so pricy. Any thoughts/tips would be greatly appreciated!
Such a pretty look!! Is it mean to tell you, though, that ABH palette is sooooo beautiful! I actually rarely wear eyeshadow but I could not stop thinking about it so I bought it. And I’ve actually used it! And it makes me so happy to have and look at and use. I bet you would love having it. Put it on your Xmas list maybe?!
I am also sucked in by pedestrian style packaging! I’ve been trying to figure out why that is for me and it may be the essence of practicality that it gives off?
I feel like it's a psychological tool that equates the packaging with old-timey products - timeless, dependable, and something you can always rely upon.
I like all of this except for the part about the ABH palette. You were talking about the greens, but then didn’t use a green shade. So that comparison didn’t necessarily make sense. It’s a wonderful and unique palette, in my opinion
those westman atelier makeup costs are ALL bc of the packaging. For the most part, the westman products aren't particularly different from less expensive choices. it's just that heavy ass packaging!
I wanted to buy a new ABH palette, but I got over it. Apparently, Anastasia herself supports Putin. I donated the money to a fundraiser to help Ukraine.
Yup. And beyond the pro-Putin thing, she’s also a fan of Marjorie Taylor Greene and other vile folks right here in the US. I will never purchase from ABH or watch dedicated content about their products ever again
@@Sarah-ky2pc 100% agree! To each their own, but I can't support someone who supported Candace Owens, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Dana Budeanu 😖 I'm appreciative that r/Deuxmoi posted screenshots of Anastasia's anti-Ukraine posts to make more people aware and so happy that Hannah created a duping the vibes on the new release
@@stefaniemezigian414 yes, yes, yes! ❤️ I know it's difficult to resist temptations, but this is such a hard line for my personal buying. Forever on my soap box screaming "Vote with your dollar!!!"
I don’t think I should be allowed in a knife class. I’ve had an accident or 3 cutting veggies. Decorating, however, seems safe enough for me. I barely have time to do my continuing education and work training at the moment, but maybe one day I can take lessons just for fun/myself.
If it helps, I was so excited about the new ABH palette, and it's very disappointing. It's more of a light sage green palette that doesn't add depth or excitement to my life
The audacity for Westman Atelier to charge $33 for 2.5g when the 5g is $64 (I know that's normal for brands usually charge higher price per ounce for minis but still lemme rant)
I really like your no buy content. It's really refreshing. About a LYS , it's a subbrand from the same company that owns Pur. However, they are coming from the MLM market and I really don't like to support these practises.
I really like how this makeup look color wise interacts with the cool pink sweater vest. Very inspiring contrast. I would like to see a bright red lip bare face look with this sweater too.
I’m definitely not tempted to buy anything Anastasia after the pro-Putin scandal… turned me off the brand completely… maybe if they do a restructure like KVD did I’d consider purchasing from them again idk
OKAY.... Merit Cava and WA Nectar are definitely different (LOL). Cava is much more white/bright/beam where as the WA is much more peach and warm. I have both and never pull Cava out but am more than half through Nectar. I am *not* a highlighter person and Merit is a typical highlighter where was WA is much more of that glossy colored sheen. The difference might be slim and if you have Cava or WA is not in your budget don't go for it. If you're debating between the two and can afford WA without checking your bank account, I much prefer it! I only write this because I purchased Merit thinking it was a cheaper dupe for WA and I don't like it at all. I ended up picking up the WA and, due to my love for it, I'm also LOVING watching it being used and knowing I'm finally going to pan a highlighter!
YSL omg😍 it’s been a year since I was interested in anything but that YSL glossy lip cheek caught my eye, but oh well not gonna buy it esp since I plan to extend my No buy July. ABH did me a huge favor and put me off them forever thanks to their pro Putin stance.

+
Alyssa Beltempo has a lot of "shop your closet" and "duping the vibes" content, if that's what you're looking for. HauteLaMode has really fun, analytical fashion commentary. I wouldn't say either of these channels are "like Hannah's" exactly, but they both have different elements of what I like about Hannah's content.
Gloria Gao
You might like Audrey Coyne and Justine Leconte for stuff about intentional consumerism.
Signe from Use Less is brilliant.
It is L.Y.S. It stands for love yourself ❤️
Hello, (kinda) new subscriber here! :3
I recently have been watching your videos and I really like your commentary and opinions, you have made me become a little more aware of what I buy and the reason behind it.
Im obsessed with the LYS Beauty Cream Bronzing Stick! I think you would love it and I second that I think you would love the brand overall.
This make up look is SO FRESH! Perfect antidote to the summer swelter.
I love to look at eyeshadow palettes on instagram and then create a look with my own collection. So much fun and endless possibilities.
Great message around the love of the hobby. Thanks for that!!
Love this type of content! And the color of that top is soo flattering on you
I needed this video today! My no buy attempt has gone out the window...I broke my foot and I am couch bound for the summer. I've been spending all my downtime online shopping and I need a reset. Lovely video as always 😊
Ouch! I tore my Achilles tendon, so I'm there with you. Good luck!
I love these shopping my stash videos so much! Especially since I’m on a no buy year. Excellent content!❤️❤️❤️
Blush draping is so evocative of your No Buy Year style.
This pink top looks so good on you!
At the end you’re describing my interactions with my book hobby. The collecting of books and reading of books are two different hobbies and I enjoy both.
The PINK SWEATER! Love, you’re my style guru for sure! I’ve been Poshmark ~ing my Entire wardrobe for “fewer nicer things” it’s a revelation
LOVE the blush placement
So glad you are still loving Dune, Hannah! 😍 It looks like a dream on you 💗
Well, listening to you talk about makeup makes me think of how i think about clothes and cooking but Absolutely cannot do with makeup. Your vision with application is so inspiring and helps me recognize how much I do not need to buy certain things since I am not skilled or knowledgeable enough to do with them what you do.
They say it's L.Y.S and it stands for love yourself 😘
BTW love you so much Hannah !
The blush draping is so pretty!! I need to practice this technique more. I love how it looks. 😊💜🌻🦋✨
Wait, how does Hannah feel about isamaya???
Omg that sneeze at the end! 😂😁
Amazing video! I love no buy content, especially from you! 😍😍😍
New to your channel. Omg, LOVE the way you describe things! So detailed and unique!
I'm LOVING this video idea!!
I would love to see a video as we end out July about whether or not you still want the things you mentioned earlier in the month, just going through them one by one!
Hannah where can I find your necklaces?! They’re so stunning and spangly that I couldn’t stop staring at them this whole video 😍✨
I have the LYS, got it back in May when Sephora surprise sent me a 20% off coupon. I actually love it and because I didn't have one it fills a void.
Love this video, I've got some makeup playing to do. :)
Have I been applying my blush and bronzer incorrectly my whole
Life???
Loved this video and look and especially your top!! Where is it from? I’d love to dupe the vibes by knitting it :)
I am also sucked in by pedestrian style packaging! I’ve been trying to figure out why that is for me and it may be the essence of practicality that it gives off?
I feel like it's a psychological tool that equates the packaging with old-timey products - timeless, dependable, and something you can always rely upon.
T G I couldn’t agree more!
QUESTION: would you rebuy makeup on vacation if you forgot your makeup at home?
Question about your baabaa top. Isn't it hot? I thought about getting something but the summer wear seemed something I would sweat into all day long.
Hannahhh! Im still dieing to know what camera lens you use 👀 👀 I know you mentioned you were gonna put it in the description box awhile back 🙏🏻💕💕
Love your message. Thank you very much!
Have you seen Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick in Mimi ? The shade definitely reminds me of old gum. 😂
During your makeup playtime, what if you try out the bright red cheeks again but with a dusting of LAVENDER eyeshadow?
I have the abh palette and as you're not into greens much anymore I doubt you'd like it and you definitely already have corals in your collection.
Throwing in a comment to say Yes to LYS review!
Hi Hannah! It's L-Y-S, not "Leeese". It's supposed to stand for Love Your Self, I heard somewhere....
Did I miss Joe's channel budget buy for this month? I feel like I missed that surprise.
You look like actual fae with this look/hair combo. I would def follow you into the forest
The Pro-Putin Anastasia scandal really puts me off from buying anything from the entire brand
yes! I hate seeing people praise their new palette as if nothing happened
Thank you for the warning, that definitely affects my choices as consumers now
I don’t think I should be allowed in a knife class. I’ve had an accident or 3 cutting veggies. Decorating, however, seems safe enough for me. I barely have time to do my continuing education and work training at the moment, but maybe one day I can take lessons just for fun/myself.
I think LYS is pronounced as the initials and stands for "love yourself"
I can't remember, but are you someone who also loves perfume? Do you have enough products or wishlist products to make a video discussing them?
If it helps, I was so excited about the new ABH palette, and it's very disappointing. It's more of a light sage green palette that doesn't add depth or excitement to my life
The audacity for Westman Atelier to charge $33 for 2.5g when the 5g is $64 (I know that's normal for brands usually charge higher price per ounce for minis but still lemme rant)
I really like your no buy content. It's really refreshing.
About a LYS , it's a subbrand from the same company that owns Pur. However, they are coming from the MLM market and I really don't like to support these practises.
Yay! Fake shopping at sephora! Let me join!!
I own a Westman Atelier highlighter; although the packaging is beautiful I find that this product remains sticky.
I really like how this makeup look color wise interacts with the cool pink sweater vest. Very inspiring contrast. I would like to see a bright red lip bare face look with this sweater too.
Bless you 😂❣
Hear me out: when no-buy-July is over, RUN do not walk to get the new Lisa Eldridge lipstick in Meet Me In Berlin. Thank me later.
anastasia herself is a putin supporter, if that helps you not want that ABH palette. i personally won't be buying anything from that brand anymore.
I’m definitely not tempted to buy anything Anastasia after the pro-Putin scandal… turned me off the brand completely… maybe if they do a restructure like KVD did I’d consider purchasing from them again idk
Damn, I missed this. Anastasia said she was pro-Putin?!?!?!
@@monsterous6152 yes, it was on r/beautyguruchatter

The lightest lys cream bronzer isn't very warm imo. I think it would look perfect on you. Sorry I know this doesn't help your no buy. Lol
