Tony iommi said in an interview 2020 that if Ronnie was still with us we would be still be working together
Heaven and Hell would totally still be together
Yep....last thing Tony would have done was go back to Ozzy if Ronnie didn't get sick.
TONY! Toni is a girl's name.
@@dan1216 Like Danna Summers.
I do agree. It seemed like they were working quite well together the last time around. Damn shame Dio died.
I`m 59. I will always miss Ronnie. I grew up with Rainbow, Sabbath and then Dio
Coincidentally, your name is also Ronnie.
I to grew up with them
The Heaven & Hell
me too

Absolutely !!!!
The gods walk among us
That riff is from psychophobia song on the cross-purposes album
@@mikekeeler6362 Part of the first riff is from the Forbidden album. Can’t think of the song title.
Dehumanizer is such a killer album
Yeah very over looked
@@bill4510 yes idk why. It's amazing
still remember the release in 92, for 52 minutes i had a Autonomous sensory meridian response
No skips, full album playthrough every time.
I will always remember, when living in Vandalia Ohio in early-mid 90s,when on local channel the show Metal-a-mania played the videe for T.V Crimes!!!yeah blew my teenage mind!!holy shit that song smokes!!🤯✌🍻
I was 15, when I first saw him with Rainbow.
I was 49 when I last saw him with Heaven and Hell.
And many in betweens.
Love you brother!
It was quite a shock when he died it’s like losing a brother may the devil horns live on forever 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
The riff of this demo was later used in the song Psychophobia in 1994 on the Cross Purposes album. Ironically Tony Martin sings the lyric "It's time to kiss the rainbow goodbye" in the song, which seems like a dig at the great Dio.
That's a stretch lmao Also Dio was a twat to Martin so if it were it's not like it wasn't justified.
@@Grandmastergav86what exactly did Dio do to Martin?
@sambuxton931 the Dehumanizer period was a mess. Martin was never officially fired and was very involved with the album's production before Dio agreed to a reunion. To the point he rerecorded the demo of Raising Hell on one of his solo albums. He then heard that he was no longer part of Sabbath while on his way to the studio to record Dehumanizer.
Listening to a Dio song you have never heard before is pure magic!
I just heard this song blows my freaking mind away I didn't know anything about this song Until Now and I've been listen to Ronnie James Dio for 40 years he was truly a god of his own
just this minute played this wow epic !!!
Same!
And same!
Mind blown
Agreed wholeheartedly! Long time Ozzy & DIO Fan. Got autographed Heaven & Hell Flyer/ Album Cover. All on it too! BESTEST Riffage... EVAH!🖤🌌🌜🎶💥🥁🤘💀😈👍
Amazing song! Damn!!!!!
Same, amazing w Cozy🐸🥁🚀
Ronnie James Dio The BEST voice in Rock n Roll...EVER... This subject is not up for debate!
This sounds like a live studio take. No over dubs. That was really good. Miss Dio so much!
DAMN YOU UA-cam! Your algorithms are evil. WHY does this turn up in my flow a year after its release?
Right?! I was just thinking the same.
You nailed it
I feel the same way!
Lol yep
trust me, you needed this more in 2020... we all did!
I remember when Iron Man was released in 1970, my neck hurt then like it does now at 61 !
You got to live through paradise to remember that.
Closing up on 50, it just never leaves you
Ronnie, we miss you a lot
Another great riff from Tony.
He's never played a bad one.
Is not Tony that play riffs.... Riffs go to Tony for he give em to us.....
BLACK✝️SABBATH
is the best band in the land.
SABBATH has produced over a half of a century of great music that is carved into solid hard rock and metal.
❣️
Sabbaths unreleased are better than most bands released stuff haha , amazing talent.
The only thing I ever heard iommi do that didn't seem to fit was the eighth star album
@@daviddelvalle7636 it wasn’t even released officially i think
Ha ha....yea!
Ronnie and Tony just an explosive union.
We all thank them for all these heavy metal years 🤟😌
It was the opposite Ronnie was very close with Geezer. And Geezer still goes to Ronnie's parties and supports the cancer fund for Ronnie. We miss you Ronald ❤❤
As a life-long Dio (and Sabbath) fan, I can't believe I'm only hearing this for the first time in 2021! And this is actually better than some of the stuff on the Dehumaniser album.
Wonder what else they may still have tucked away. I hope more Dio
Same feeling here! This song is simply amazing🤘
I agree. It's excellent
Didn't listen yet, can't wait. More Dio please!
@@lindell7148 I don’t know if you saw but Geoff Nichols estate released a demo from Heaven and Hell called “Slapback”. And I believe Dio played bass guitar! This was about 6 months ago? Some people don’t like it ( it does sound like Lonely is the World to a point) and Iommi is mad. But personally I think it’s great 👍. Give it a listen 🤘🤘
That crunchy riff and expert vocals are fresh and satisfying as ever. RIP RJD and much love to the rest of the guys. Epic stuff.
Oh wow!! Nice ! Good to hear an unreleased track that is strong-sounding! I love Iommi’s palm-muting proto-thrash riffs. As usual, with RJD, all killer, no filler.
Tony Iommi, the greatest rock/metal guitar player ever. 🎸. Wait.... he created Metal. RR and EVH are my next two favorites.
Schenker?
I agree schenker allso Dime
@@mikekeeler6362 I love Dime.
Why is this showing up in my feed a year later? I should have heard this long ago. R.i.p. Dio and Cozy? 🤘
like in the good old days of Rainbow
Demo sessions with Powell yielded numerous recordings, including two unreleased songs - "The Night Life" (also called "Next Time"), whose riff was later used for "Psychophobia" on Cross Purposes, and "Bad Blood", which sounds very similar to "I" on Dehumanizer. These songs can be found, along with other demos and untitled songs, on the Complete Dehumanizer Sessions bootleg.
Wow! No kidding? So this was actually before Cross Purposes and not after. That's pretty cool!
I thought this one reminded me of “I” a bit tbh
We need a proper Dehumanizer reissue then. The more Cozy Powell the better!
@@mikeynoclass8240 I want to hear the rumoured Tony Martin version of Dehumaniser too.
R.I.P The mighty Dio!!!! Would have been awesome to get new music from Dio and sabbath!
Fucn impressive ,,dio still giving us taste of his greatness beyond his grave god bless you sir firever you may rain in heaven
“And it goes over and over and over and over again...”
Im sure he is on his silver mountain, not heaven 🤘
Wow! I have never heard it before. Great song. Thank you!
How didn't this make it onto an album? Crazy decision cus It's great!!!!! 👍
Yea...not a bad song at all!
the true clean voice of rock
Tifi la squadra sbagliata ma concordo
sampsabbath
My best guess at the lyrics:
Oh, there was a picture somewhere
it was a picture of you
behind the smile I seem to see you for the first time
oh, oh, you
you were the city calling
c'mon, get your life away
must be imagination
maybe I'm crazy, that look in your eyes turned the night bright
oh
she was a child of summer,
believing everything
but when the winter comes it always kills the sunshine
she
she was the blindest color
all turned to black and white
without a destination
took all the jewels, well, the light never dies, on a night ride
Oh, there was a picture somewhere
it was a picture of you - the winter comes it always kills the sunshine
she
she was the blindest color
all turned to black and white
without a destination
took all the jewels, well, the light never dies, on a night ride
oh
she was a child of summer,
believing everything
but when the winter comes she always kills the sunshine
she
she was the blindest color
all turned to black and white
without a destination
took all the jewels, well, the light never dies, on a night ride
oh
he
he was the blindest color
before he lost the light
between the black and white
whispers from shadows, the children never cry alone
you can always moan
yeah, on a night ride
to tell you stories on a night ride, oh oh
now take flight, the day is over, and the night goes on
something just walked our way
if you fight the load
days aren't better at all
something's gotta make you stay
say your last goodbye,
and on the night fly
to tell you stories on a night ride
no more
and the cock cries
the end, it's over, you'll know, know, know
how the night flies
Spot on mostly. I have doubts about a few words. For instance, not cock, clock. Suits better
@@user-pd7ld2tx9u You might be right. My thought process is that a cock (rooster) cries in the morning, when night ends. Also, it could be a reference to the Bible, wherein Jesus says to Peter (I think) that he would deny him three times before the cock cries.
That verse riff was used by Tony on the Cross Purposes song "Psychophobia".
Yes man
There will NEVER be a voice like RJD....powerful and soothing...met him once...a very sweet and humble man....powerful song...long live dio....rip
True. However I always thought Tony Martin came kinda close. Another phenomenal vocalist imo.
I meeting Dio twice in mine life, correct very humble👏👌
This has a little bit of the riff from "I" in it and also sounds a little bit like "Master of Insanity". Definitely a Dehumanizer demo track. Okay I had to edit this. This song sound like "I" , "Master of Insanity",
"Bad Blood" and "Letters From Earth" all combined. Brilliant.
Any comments about Cozy? Yes Dio of course, but man Cozy was a monster.
Stargazer was them both together at their peak imho.
Cozy is legend
AGREED 👍!! And Missed
I thought cozy died in 1984 in a car crash.
@@scottcole842 Unfortunately ....He Did. Not 100% Sure It Was 84.....but Close To It. What A Force!!
Just one more reason that Iommi is the Riff Master. Did anyone notice the intracity of the opening riff? It's different than the one you hear in the of the song. Pure genius!
Great song! Never heard before. Dehumanizer is one of the heaviest albuns EVER! I mean HEAVY as F*CK. Great songs in it as well. Classic stuff. RIP Dio, one of the voices of Rock n Roll.
Dio is awesome ! My favorite singer of all metal singers of all genres. R. I. P. Brother Ronnie James Dio
Geezer Butler is the world best Bass Guitarist in the world.
A bass god. He's up there with Steve Harris.
That's a qualitative statement. What do you mean by best in the world? Best technique, best feel, best performance, best improvisation, best composition? See what I mean? I play myself. There's no doubt that Geez was the originater of the true Metal sound and technique, but there's a lot of other Bass players who are more proficient than our Geezer, and who were probably influenced by him. Check out Martin Mendez of Opeth. Geddy Lee. Of course Mr. Steve Harris. You should make a top twenty list of best Bassists and put Geezer at the top and work down. Just my opinion. If you think I'm being a nitpicker, you're probably right, that's just me. Thank you for taking the time to read this lengthy dissertation. 👍🎶🎵🎶🎶🎵🤘
@@morlokkurak4763 his tone is unequaled. Geddy has his tone, Geezer has his tone, , Peter Cetera has his tone. It's about tone.
@@mannyruiz1954 I completely agree. I've spent hours trying to get THE perfect tone. Heavy, but not overbearing. Geezer is the Master of tone! Iommi got his tone by placing the microphone away from the amp and playing full blast. I wonder if Mr. Butler did the same.
@@morlokkurak4763 I play a little bass but I'm a novice. I'm a rock bass freak. Jack Bruce is a bass god too. Dusty Hill is a badass too.
To think he was battling cancer at this time and would leave this world not long after this album is baffling he has so much power in his voice
this is actually from the dehumanizer sessions, back in the early 90s.
Seen Ronnie in the days of Elf in C.N.Y l was 15,he just got better&better as time when on.seen him in all the BANDS that followed,a GREAT Person. R.I.P Ronnie& Cozy 2 of Best. Great Song!!!
Black Sabbath is the world best heavy metal band in the world.
Any music by Dio I love to hear
Ronnie James Dio is the world best heavy metal Lead Vocalist in the world. RIP- RJD.
Riffmaster Iommi. Great to hear Dio`s voice and Powell´s great drumming. Butler pumps as always. I´m fine.
One of two demos with the mighty Cozy Powell on drums.
Featuring Cozy Powell!! All the respect for Vinny but Cozy was just the best Metal/Rock drummer!!
Sadly Cozy had a horse fall on him and he was left with several fractured ribs and he couldn't record the album that's why they called Vinny...
A mix of stonehedge and the begging of E5150 ?
precisely
@Son of a Glitch Yes, Black Sabbath used this wordplay on their live album: Live Evil (1982).
Liv∃
It's added in because the song was never supposed to be released
Sit back and enjoy there will be no more
It’s got a riff from psychophobia from cross purposes too
Sounds like it could have been on Dio's Lock Up the Wolves
My thoughts exactly! Not a fit for Sabbath album. Dio sounded fantastic late 80s earl 90s.
he seems to have reused some of the vocal melodies/ideas on that album. (night music,)
yes agreed. .I'm not a big big fan of lock up either
@@GRILLBUOY101 Also, elements of Mob Rules and Sounds from Born Again.
Omg I was just thinking that exact same thing!
Wow. Yes
Excellent. Thanks for sharing
That sound so demolition!!! That missing voice... Las leyendas nunca mueren y Dio sigue cantandonos de lejos... maravillosamente brutal!!!
Wow. Badass tune
OMG how was this not ever released
Because It Was Not Finshed
Wow ! Great tune! 💥❤️🎸🤘
Great song, but unfortunately Black Sabbath never released it. What a groovy riff! 🤘🏽
Hi bud, that riff was later transplanted to Psychophobia on the Cross Purposes album that came out after this line-up ended.
@@orbitsnoogslaghouse1188
Cheers for info mate. Huge thanks. 🤘
This is a slightly different version than most versions on UA-cam. Not that’s a bad thing. Actually quite good. Especially if you notice starting around 7:00 you can hear E5150 for the remainder. Thanks for posting!🤘🤘
They were made for each other. Why they had so many fallings out...they were all crazy lol? That big voice, that big sound. The bottom in this is so fine. Fkn loved these fellas together. What a powerhouse 🖤🖤🖤
Iommi was weak, Dio was a drama queen - sadly.
Tony Iommi is the world best Lead Guitarist in the world.
I could argue with that Mohammad close
Not lead, but greatest riff master of all time. He said he has 500 + unrecorded riffs... Just think what we're all missing
His lead playing is massively underappreciated. Lonely is the Word - f-ing gold.
He is certainly the riff master!
TONY IOMMI RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I grew up with the ozzy years. When Dio took over brought them in such a better direction. Dio will be missed but his voice lives on forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always said that when dio came in they went from master of reality to master a fantasy but that's not necessarily a bad thing
Of course look at Ozzy he went from singing listen to me nobody else will tell you, to don't ask me I don't know
I remember exactly where I was when our local radio station spun H+H for the very first time🤘😇🎤🤘
Blizzard of Oz..no recollection (no disrespect to Randy🙏🏻)
F****** badass Ronnie James you're still kicking ass even from the grave
See the Dehumanizer tour in Boston! What A LOUD concert!Gezzers bass rattled all you bones! And Prong open up the show!
that must have been glorious
I was at that show too! It was killer.
Ya man I was on the fourth row right on front of Gezzer and his Wall of bass amps!!
Tony reused this riff on Cross Purposes. I'm sure I've heard that before, but with Tony Martin singing a different melody over it.
Oh yeah, for sure. I think it's Psychophobia. Fitting, as I feel like during the live Guitar Solo in this era he would play a riff that would show up on the track Cross of Thorns.
I just might have a new favorite Sabbath song...EPIC!!!
Awesome!
great solo as well !
The demo tape of dehumanizer is a must listen. Features the great Cozzy Powell. Unique line up
I like how they combined E5150 with Stonehenge.
RIP Dio & Cozy.
Strange that none of these showed up on the Dehumanizer expanded edition... Granted alot of that material was instrumentals and rehearsals, but come on! I like the little bit of E5I50 and Stonehenge you added at the beginning! Perfect!
Amazing line-up⚡️🚀🥁🤘Rest in peace.
Damn. What a treat to hear this today
There was a rumor when RJD died, that he had recorded some vocals over demos, in a real studio, to be finished after his passing. Had to have been wishful thinking because it never materialized and I have to believe Tony would have wanted to finish it and I doubt Wendy would be holding it up.
How come we haven’t heard any unreleased tracks from the HEAVEN AND HELL or MOB RULES albums?
Might not be any. Hard to say.
This could've been a single had it made the album proper.
I've never heard this before today. I'm so glad I can get one that's new to me
This song rocks!! Wonder why it was left off Dehumanizer?
Awesome
That riff is the hardest metal on the rock well hardness scale. Damn! 🤘🤘
Unparalleled riff master.
Excellent.
Thanks for releasing it !!! Great Song !! wonder what other gems are out there ?
That riff ended up on the next album Cross Purposes, on Psychophobia.
Why wasn't it released before 2019? I'll never understand how bands/record labels make these decisions. This is such a good song!
Its sloppy (Cozy)
SEMPRE FORTISSIMI E GRANDI!!!!!! GRANDISSIMI!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏❤️🙏
Interesting hearing the 'Psychophobia' riff from "Cross Purposes" with Dios vocals in this.
This sounds better don’t you think?
I thought it was interesting that on the Headless cross album, Tony Martin was purposely trying to sound more like DIO and that was probably why it sold better than Eternal Idol or Tyr
@@deanoneill5364 Don't know really. Love Dio the most of all the singers, but the vocal tempo/lyrics don't match up as well as Psycophobia does. My thoughts anyway.
I was singing the psychophobia lyrics over it lol. If I can only have one I choose that one
This track is better than tracks that made it to the album...so is Bad Blood. What the heck were they thinking cutting this stuff?! Awesome stuff!!!
At least a treasure to our rock/metal family!
NO WAY THIS IS KRAZY NAHH ARE YOU MESSING YO THIS IS KRASY
This is great classic track 🤘🤘
This tune should've been right before E5150 and Mob Rules on that titled album...You can here in the intro and in the ending Geoff Nicholls keyboard/ synthesizer work flowing into E5150...and of course the banging Geezer solo. 🤘🤘🤘
i love this song !
If you have kids, make sure you teach them about BLACK SABBATH.
Wow. Greatness.
So gloriously heavy! How did this never make it to being on a album?!
Main riff from this demo was later used in Physhophobia from Cross Purposes
What a great track !
Amazing Song!!!!
Awesome.
Such a great song !!!!
I miss ronnie!! I love this version of the band and always have
The main riff sound like the bridge riff of Psychophobia.
your ears and your memory are working well: "Dehumanizer demo sessions with Powell yielded numerous recordings, including two unreleased songs - "The Night Life" (also called "Next Time"), whose riff was later used for "Psychophobia" on Cross Purposes, and "Bad Blood", which sounds very similar to "I" on Dehumanizer. These songs can be found, along with other demos and untitled songs, on the Complete Dehumanizer Sessions bootleg."
I'm glad this didn't get used because I love Psychophobia
The intro is a mix of e5150 and zero the hero. By the hearing of the voice I think that this piece belong to Dehumanizer era.
The verse riff was reused in "Psychophobia" from "Cross purposes", which is probably the best track on that album.
Thanks for posting this !! Didn't even know that this track existed!! I hope in the near future, they release a lot of unreleased material from the Dehumanizer sessions, that didn't make the album! The same with The Devil You Know album as well!! Thanks again 😀👍👍 great music, from a very talented band!!!!
