Awesome episode Henk! I agree. Always travel in a group as much as possible. A spotter will see hazards from the outside that you can't see from the inside, and guide you through the obstacle.
Great tips. I have been driving 4x4 tracks a couple of years, and stay away from mud as much as possible. It's like some other things in life, 10 minutes of fun can cost you a lot of money later. De Wildt is usually my go to for newcomers.
I am one of those, I don't like mud. The cleaning is a problem. it also tends to break the vehicle, even if you have the most robust vehicle. The amount of pressure you have to apply in order to get through the obstacle is sometimes extraordinary and this causes breakages.
Nice video and tips Henk. I once damaged my vehicle at Bass Lake. I should have driven away from the obstacle at the time as I didn’t have rock sliders.

Thanks Vernon. Was a case of just having said it and my point proven instantly…

Thanks Anthony. Yes, it just causes problems later on…
I agree with you entirely on the mud, I just avoid it whenever I can.

It is a pleasure and thank you for watching.
This is a great video to revisit even with experience. I am with you on the mud! I don't do mud unless absolutely necessary!
