Hey Jeremy thanks a lot my friend ; ) Yeah - we are the european band. We also played several gigs in the US and Canada, but mostly in europe. We just had a great Italy tour with Leon Hendrix as a guest and it seems that youtube helps us a lot. Anyway - thanks for your support and maybe we´ll meet somewhere. Please let me know when you wanna come to a show, wether in europe or the states. I´ll put you on the special guest list ; )
Hey - I am using the Lexicon MPX G2 for modulation and pitchshifting, two octaves above the original bass sound and hide the aliasing noises with distortion and wah. It works pretty good on stage and yeah it´s fun to freak out sometimes ; )
Now this is some hot cookin stuff'. Finaly we see a bassplayer here who dares to go beyond clichés of what we think a bassplayer should do. Meine liebe du. Darf ich dies weiterleiten haha? gruesse from NL.
Hey - thanks for your compliment.Well, they are hard to compare. The Steinberger is great for travelling, doesnt get out of tune and is humidity proof. The Nobby sounds a little better, but is wooden. So you have the typical dillemma. I love them both. I play 0.35 - 0.95 strings on the Nobby and 0.45.- 1.05 on the Steinberger.Yeah - i have got a lot of basses, just bought my old Fender Jazz Bass from 1967 back, i sold it twenty years ago, to buy a Steinberger. Thats ironic, isnt it ?
Awesome! If you tried using a pick you might be able to break that 256th note barrier that's been plaguing you! ;-) Seriously, I play guitar with a pick and with that tapping I'm pretty sure you're going faster than I can with a pick! Ridiculous! Good riff! What's the longest loop you can do in that old Lexicon Jamman?
Ah, Lexicon. See I was too wrapped in disbelief and wonderment to remember description boxes. Ill have to beg my Eventide to recreate these tones. ahem.
@ufowalter thank you!! one last thing,do you know something about the possibility to expand the delay memory of the pcm 81 like on the pcm 80? i'd do everything to find a way to expand my pcm 81 memory size!
ufowalter Word man, I almost won an auction on a jamman but some guy bidded on last minute and I lost :L. I will get a good looper someday for my synth, atleast it kind of has this ability built in anyways, but want more layers. People just use their computers nowadays but I want to avoid that for now. Never seen anyone do such insane stuff with a bass though.
Avantgarde is the term for your musicality...Ok your bass sounds like a guitar...Bet you could turn that ol band Tangerine dream into something...they got no guitar,or bass ...synthezizers....they be german people...they are missing a talented bass player like you.
AWESOME!!!! UFO!!!!!!!! I remember you 30 years ago, always carrying your bass with you! Hard working man!!! Good results!!!! Great musician!!!! Wonderful person!!!

@DirtyAssa Thank you my friend ; )

@TRON308 well..i don´t know. You must look at stecrecords
It´s a great website from Bob Sellon, the inventor of the jamman.
He will tell you ; )
You are my hero, anyway --
@perothing Oh yes. Did'nt Jeff Beck played this with Jan Hammer?
@ufowalter thank you!! one last thing,do you know something about the possibility to expand the delay memory of the pcm 81 like on the pcm 80? i'd do everything to find a way to expand my pcm 81 memory size!
thanks dude - a nice comment is always welcome - ufo-
Hi! great playing! aside from the Jamman and the MPX G2,what is the other Lexicon unit that are you using in this video? is it a pcm 80 or 81?
thanks
Haha - these are the cheapest Warwick Red 035.- 0.95
They cost 10 € or less, but i change them quiet often.
regards -ufo-
haha - well, the girls didn´t wait. ;-)
I just want to confirm that this guy is playing a bass like a guitar, right?
tracer690 yeah - that´s exactly what i do ;-)
ufowalter Word man, I almost won an auction on a jamman but some guy bidded on last minute and I lost :L.
