I'm not a muslim nor do I come from Arabic descent but THANK YOU for covering the story of Saladin. Truly one of the most respectable leaders and he was a man of great honour. To some, he is a "mediocre" military leader, for his several loses; But do take note that without him - as he has set a foothold for other islamic groups (mainly Baybars) to continue the work; They would have been close to nothing. Saladin was without a doubt, one of the greatest military figures in the Islamic History. P.s. I'm open for any objections on my take on Saladin's significance on the Islamic Power in the Middle East. I'm also just fascinated of this man's story. Edit: removed "possibly one of the greatest", for he IS one of the greatest.
The best part about a person like Saladin is that he can be respected by all. You may not share his beliefs, but his honour and respect for himself and others can be universally shared. Humble in failure, gracious in victory.
He is one our greatest historical figures, you should check out Khalid bin Walid, an even greater military general than him, one of the best, if not the best military general in history
A respectable leader and man of honor. No wonder why Dante Alighieri depicted him in the circle of Limbo in his Divine Comedy, among the unbaptized and virtuous non-Christians.
The narrator also said that Saladin was "Arabic culturally, linguistically, etc.", which are lies spread by Arab nationalists to appropriate this piece of Kurdish history. If anything, Saladin made sure to keep the number of Arabs in his army low because he did not trust them.
Saladin was rivals/Friends with two legendary kings Baldwin the IV and Richard the Lionheart he was a great and respected man to have been able to win the Respect of his enemies
I highly recommend the book "The Crusades through Arab Eyes," which is a history of the "Franj" wars (the Crusades); it gives good context of the wars and of Salah al-Din. The author is Amin Maalouf.
@@Oussama1453-m7c he didn't mentioned Saladin is Arab, it says "Arab Eyes" means history written by Arabs/ Arabs point of view. Althou Saladin is not Arab, he's still the ruler of Middle East and Arabs are also on the ranking of his army

Khaleed bin Waleed is the opposite of Saladin. His title is The Sword of Allah He led 7,000 troops to defeat 200,000 Roman troops. It is hard to believe.

Saladin, the golden Eagle of Egypt. One of the greatest men in Human history. May he rest in peace.
Salaudin the Lion of Islam
his eagle looks very eerily similar to the Roman Aquila.
As soon as the narrator said "he was a scholar more than a warrior" I subscribed to the channel. It means they know what they are saying.
The narrator also said that Saladin was "Arabic culturally, linguistically, etc.", which are lies spread by Arab nationalists to appropriate this piece of Kurdish history. If anything, Saladin made sure to keep the number of Arabs in his army low because he did not trust them.

Nice video
We need more of historic content like this
Great job as always. And more than dramatic wiki reading. Thanks for the knowledge.

Better than "SEND THESE GOODS" or "My Master requires these good, SEND IT TO HIM IMEDIATELY"
