The Apple Music Algorithm is a very interesting beast. Even though I can agree it’s not as good as the Spotify algorithm when it comes to music discovery, it’s one of the most unused, misunderstood tools in modern music marketing. The key to Apple Music marketing is the listen now/ For You tab (which is only on computers). This tab houses a couple of playlists including new music mix which is in essence the discover weekly of Apple Music. This is the mix you want to get your music into. The key to getting into these playlists is the love button. Look at what happens when you hit the love button on a song. The more loves you get on a song from the right audience (your target audience) the more you will be pushed into the algorithm of Apple Music.
