Very interesting Build . Here in Austria the ZA50 Engine is not the first choice for tuning ., The Transmision is not so strong so it broke very often . I will stay tuned with your build . Hope it runns long . best wishes 👨🏻🔧
Old timer mechanic told me one time when I was about 14 '90% of carb problems are electrical' and it took me years to figure out what he was talking about. It always bugged me since I thought he was teasing me but now it comes to mind all the time.
@@Corn-ped general wiring for sure, do you think you can make a quick explanation on voltage regulators and rectifiers. Your explanations are the best! Thank you!
Timing is nice to have right for sure. But main jet is for top end of the load. If this bike has primary jet you should after fixing timing look at needle or primary jet and not the main jet. Sounds right? Cool bike, to the point where its not practical but looks the part for sure.
Check the angle the carb sits at when i put a nibbi carb on my scooter i was having similar tuning issues which was resolved by increasing the angle of the carb so the gas was submerging the pilot jet more also i flipped the carb from facing to tge rear to forwards since the other way would starve the pilot then flood it upon stopping hard...
@@Corn-ped It just gets worse when you start playing around with weird aftermarket CDI's. the second guessing, the timing curves and firing points. Makes me wish I was into house plants.

lol. Thats a good quote.
Thanks, these are the questions I have! Order of operations when tinkering is so helpful!
yeah man! It was a roller coaster of emotions.
Hey CornPed, do you think you can make a video about wiring?
yeah for sure. Is there an certain aspect you wanna see? or just general wiring?

yeah I am going to get this timing really dialed in and then start from the Idle jet, then Needle, then main jet to get it perfect.

The timing and jetting order is a fun mistake I enjoy making year after year.
I thought I had it timed right!

Does it fire to the right or the left?
To the left!
Wait. This is a ZA! To the right!
