    I had my G19 milled for a red dot and at the same time they cut some S&W scallop-style serrations in the front and top of the slide. Adds a nice bite when press-checking and looks awesome.
    My G26 I put XS Big Dot night sights, and a Hogue Hand-all rubber sleeve over the grip. I also use a +1 pinky extender on the G26 mag if you count that. That's all!

    GLOCK Part number 8794 is the cheapest and most effective extended magazine catch available. I think it retails for around $5 or so, and makes a world of difference for your Gen5 GLOCK. And it’s an OEM part!

    The only upgrades needed on any Glock IMO are sights and a grip enhancement.
    Learn how to use the tool / Glock and you'll be just fine. Adding accessories 'upgrades' all you're doing is asking for malfunctions. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    My opinion is and again it's my opinion so just hear me out, there is only one scenario where I think you should do anything to your firearm. (Upgrades etc.) That scenario is, if you're NOT using that firearm as your EDC.
    I would caution anyone upgrading their EDC because in the case for Glock, Glock makes firearms that work and work every time you pull the trigger. Why compromise the integrity and reliability of a firearm that already works by adding upgrades?
    If you God forbid ever need your firearm to defend yourself and hopefully you never do, knowing your gun simply works when you need it is a comforting feeling.
    If your firearm is simply a firearm that you don't typically use as your EDC well have fun with it and make it your own.
    Just my opinion

    Not quite under $50 (more like 100 msrp) would be the Glock performance trigger. It's much, much better than the original Glock trigger and it comes with the Glock guarantee of reliability. You might want to consider it for either legal reasons or if you need it for i.e. IPSC production, where you can't use 3rd party components. By legal reasons I mean if you were to stand in trial for a self-defense shooting, you can argue you only used original Glock factory parts.

    Glocks are like Ruger 10-22's, in order to get what you want you must upgrade most of the firearm. Better trigger, better barrel, better sights, better internals, which can be fun.....once. So many other manufacturers actually sell Glock style pistols that are what they should be.

      Do whatever you want to your gun but these products aren't upgrades. People buy Glocks because their simplicity produces reliability and durability. Nothing wrong with buying a more mechanically complex gun or adding parts to a Glock but that's not the purpose of a Glock.

      It really is a lot better than the original trigger and it comes with the full Glock guarantee.
      With other parts, it depends on what you're looking for I guess. If you want an excellent match trigger, Timney is absolutely superb. It's near 1911 match-trigger quality and it will certainly be a blast for competition (if and when you're allowed 3rd party triggers in said competition). Would I use it as a carry or self-defense gun with the Timney - no I don't think so.

    • @maximilianmustermann5763
      @maximilianmustermann5763 3 місяці тому

      That's not quite true. You'll never buy a gun that is absolutely 100% the way you'd like it to be. Or maybe it's a personality-type thing. Some people just buy a gun and think it's perfect, and other people just always want to tweak it until it's perfect. I'm the type who thinks that over-tweaking and tuning a gun is mostly stupid (a lot of people tend to do that), but you can make a gun better for your personal needs with a little tweaking.
      For example I have short thumbs and a lot of normal mag release buttons are just awkward for me. Can't reach them without breaking my grip.
