@@HKX_ORANGECHICKEN Good question. I knew I wanted to try the SCS after some research, and the immediate appeal was how low it sat on the slide with factory irons. A lot of optics have high deck heights so you need taller iron sights too. So it required the least amount of time sending it into a company to mill it, almost no re-training in the way I present the weapon, and 0 permanent physical alterations to the gun in order to run a red dot. I'm not saying its 100% better than milling your slide to another specific optic, but it was just so easy to go buy the SCS and throw it on. Not to mention it doesn't need a battery. Hope that helps.
This is what I call the perfect set up, how the optic fits flush and lines up with the serrations can’t get any better and also the flashlight lines up perfect like these two attachments were made for this gun. Will definitely be getting these for my 19

Purchase their Compressor Quick Tune Guide Rod, use the 13 lbs spring and run either 115 and 124 grain target and defensive ammo. 147 target or defensive loads have also worked well for me. Excellent format, info, length and narration for your video. Malo, liked and subscribed!

I have a holosun 508t waiting to be put on just haven’t had time to throw it on and get it zerod. I have baby hands so looking at getting an extended slide release and mag release so I don’t have to break my grip to reach.
That sounds like a dope setup bro, sounds like we got similar tastes. 100% agree on extended controls, I got schmedium hands too. You definitely gotta throw on that 508T though, its a game changer!
This is my next Glock purchase. I’m going to do a lot of the same mods that I’ve done to my Gen3 23C (which I carry frequently). Simple and functional upgrades are the way to go for a good edc. Nothing flashy!
Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS with Streamlight TLR-1HL and currently the Holosun 507C, though I am definitely considering buying and using the Holosun SCS instead. Amd yes, im subscribed.
3:52 I recently bought a used Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS. It came with a set of Dawson Precision all-optic height irons and I was also shooting shockingly over and up. I realized that the rear sight was visibly off-center and was happy knowing that, once I got it centered, I'd be shooting well again and it really wasn't me. Well, I had a gunsmith center the irons and I couldn't wait to shoot. Unfortunately, I was now shooting even further off and up than before they were centered lol. I plan to get a different set of irons because these take up too much of my optic window. Hopefully it's just a weird fluke. The gun only had 2-3k rounds through it before I bought it.
Dude this is exactly what happened to me with TWO pairs of GL01s. I wanted to like them so bad because they really are good quality sights at face value, but there's something off with the rear sight. Sounds like you and I had similar issues. My hunch is that the bottom of the rear sight is curved/bent on the right side. This would cause shots to go high and right/left, whichever way they're bent.
Looks cute. I currently have the 19x. I was playing with the 43x at the shop range last week. Still haven’t tried the 19, but the comfortability and the ability to move without having a pole against my appendix was a huge plus. The 19x prints and n the handle and I can’t work with it. It’s just too in the way and uncomfortable.
Great job. Opening sequence, camera angles and music are all good man.....Also, your voice is easy to listen to. Good cadence and content. Your channel should do well. Good luck.
I had a terrible experience with the holosun scs, my reticle was so bright I could not see the dot with my astigmatism... Just a big green blured star that takes almost all the window... If only they could add a true low brightness mode...
Hmm that sucks. Did you try pressing the mode button? It may have been locked into manual brightness mode which yes is very bright. But the auto brightness mode is usually pretty spot on to the environment. Could have also been a QC issue, happens sometimes

Ameriglos or Trijicon sights work well for me and I always have to run the beavertail Medium Backstrap on my Gen 4s and Gen 5s or the Grip Force Adapter on my Gen 3s. Great video!!! I have a similar G19 gen 5 setup with the Holosun SCS and chopped beaver tail. I run the olight pl2 mini and stock trigger/mag release. You made me want to check out the performance trigger and extended slide release tho! Keep em coming
Thanks bro! Hell yeah, I seriously cannot recommend the performance trigger enough, the break and reset are stellar. Also the Kagwerks slide release does scrape up your slide a tiny bit as shown, hopefully you don't mind that. Just bend it a little outward. They're tools though, they're meant to take abuse.
I also have the Kagwerks raised/extended slide release and my slide has the most wear down the side I’ve seen 😂 I haven’t had any issues other than cosmetics, though. I’d like to bend it out a bit but my holster isn’t channeled for it so it’d probably bend it back eventually.
Agree, the plastic ones are known to come off. I had bad luck with the Trijicon ones featured in this video, so definitely looking for another pair somewhere
I've owned & used a few pistol sight brands since 1997 or so. Ameriglo and Trijicon HDs are 2 great after market night sight brands. HD orange sights are ✅️ . I put big Trijicon Surpressor sights on my big gen 5 Glock 22 MOS but in 2024, many newer rear optics can function with regular sights.
I am wondering what are your thoughts on the Shadow Systems MRL920L Elite? This comes with metal sights a better grip angle and deeper cuts in the slide. Do you still prefer Glock over the clones for reliability?
I've heard really good things about the Shadow Systems clones, but I have never shot one. In hand, they felt really good and they're definitely high quality, I just can't speak to performance. I'm sure they're solid or they wouldn't be selling as well as they do
I also carry a 19-but I have a ton of experience with the Trijicon RMR so I’ve run this for 15 years on two different duty guns. How do you really like your Holosun as compared to say a 507K?Which model is yours again, and will it work with my RMR cut slide?
I would love to throw an RMR on it some day, but I have been pretty happy with the Holosun SCS MOS. It isn't perfect, but it gets the job done for EDC. It is very similar to the 507K, but mine is solar powered and the brightness auto adjusts to the environment (pretty well, too). It will not work with the RMR cut, this one is specifically designed to fit Glock's MOS cut.
Yes it does, and actually the IncogX is labeled "TLR7" on the back of it. The Incog uses the ejection port of the slide for retention so the exact light usually doesn't matter as long as its basically the same size.
I hope you see this comment but I have a question on the SCS red dot you have on your firearm. I will be buying the Gen 5 Glock 19 MOS as my second ever firearm. I have a red dot on my first pistol being on my Canik Mete mc9. My main question is how do you really like the SCS red dot. Do you find the window too small since it is small or maybe the camera isn't doing justice. I was thinking of getting the 407C which means I need the adapter plate and will put on suppressor height sights which give me a lower 1/3rd cowitness. My only gripe is I feel like for me the SCS will be too small.
I honestly have never thought about the window size. The main reason I bought the SCS was 1. it didn't require a plate, and 2. it co-witnesses with irons perfectly, so I would not have to re-train my weapon presentation. Other than that, I have had zero issues getting a sight picture, and zero issues with the red dot functioning properly. The auto brightness works great (I've used it in a low light class, and in broad daylight). It is a great red dot, but there are lots of good ones out there. 407C is a good option too, just has different features
@@defencivsolutions thank you so much for your response. I have a 407k in my Canik mete mc9 so I’m assuming maybe it’s the same window size. I love how it also cowittness with factory iron sights. Will definitely consider
Hey just got new tag precision sights, Glock performance trigger and Inforce Wild 1 on my edc G19 Gen 5 but the alien photon holster doesn’t house the wild 1 correctly, what holster would you recommend for a better fit? I’m willing to spend because I don’t plan on switching my daily carry anytime soon so please let me know what you recommend
I've been loving the Safariland IncogX, and it houses the wild1 perfectly. Check out my video comparison of some holsters that I have been using for more details, but I definitely like the Incog
Honestly, I could never get a consistent draw with the Gen 3 finger grooves. I also really like the front slide serrations and the MOS optic cut. I know I could have done all of those mods after market to my Gen 3, but I was due for an upgrade anyways. Both great guns though
I do not carry the MOS Gen 5 19, mine is a regular 19 gen 5. Really considering getting the holosun optic. Can I have this attachment on the regular or will it not sit flush like the MOS?
You will have to get your slide milled out to fit any optic. Depending on what footprint you get, it will not sit perfectly flush because you will have to use an optic plate
So this is my personal take: I used to work with a lot of former Sig employees (some of whom worked in the QC and testing department) and the stories they told about the culture at Sig completely turned me off to their products. Not only that, but the P320 safety issues solidified my beliefs that they care more about making $ than they do about higher quality products. Again, this is my opinion so don't take this as fact. But as far as shootability and comfortability, I actually really liked the P365 (I have only shot the X Macro version of it). So take all of that with a grain of salt!
Hard to find. Most of them are 500 lumens or less if they are short because they run on a single CR123. Can’t really produce that much more power out of those batteries. And honestly 500 is enough for most applications. Let me know if you find one though.
i have the similar setup with the scs how do you like it during night time or in dark areas? my biggest thing rn is wondering if the brightness enough with my wml to the point where it wipes it out. If you press the button it’s good but with the regular mode idk
I was worried about the same thing too but I found the auto brightness setting to actually adjust to the light of my target area really well. In complete darkness the SCS dims way down so you aren't blinded, and then when I turn on the Inforce it adjusts to the light bouncing back from the target. But I could maybe see it being an issue at more extreme distances (50yd +). The manual mode on the SCS is just one brightness that doesn't change, I don't recommend that setting for low light, its too bright.
I have the same gun, same optic and a trl7a light. Great setup... You need to really research the comp... before you spend your money. It would be better spent on training and ammo...
I toted a issue Glock gen lll in 2022/2023. I thought it was ok but nothing I'd get worked up over. I own a few used, new Glocks. Gen 4s Gen 5s. My used Glock 22 .40 is ✅️ . I can swap .357sig barrels, 9mm barrels quick. I carry my 22 gen 4 9x19mm on security posts. 124gr +P bonded rounds.
Just kidding. It's because I had an issue with the Trijicon iron sights. The rear sight is messed up somehow, so to the average onlooker, they appear not centered. But trust me, they are zero'd.
Haha fair but I was talking internals specifically. A lot of people's issues with their Glock malfunctioning come after they install fancy internal parts.
I don't know man. If it fits you it's okay i guess but i wouldn't call it perfect. A TLR-7A would have been a better choice in that form factor and a closed optic a better choice for an EDC.
I hear ya man, I can respect the opinion. I did actually talk about both of these things in the video; how I don't like the downward/rotary knobs of Surefires and Streamlights (Inforce activates inward toward the gun), and how an enclosed optic is planned for future upgrades (really want to try out the new SCS Carry). Haven't had a single issue with the SCS MOS though, open emitters aren't bad for EDC, lots of people run RMRs, other Holosuns, etc...But you're right, it's perfect for my use case and preferences. That's the beauty of subjective opinions.

I don't quite remember the price of each part but it adds up quick. Probably close to $1k
love the video man keep it up
Thanks bro! I'll stay on the grind
I am tempted to pick up a g19 for my edc over a g43x this video does make want the 19 tho
Dude honestly you can't go wrong. Best advice I ever received was: get the biggest gun that you can conceal, but the smallest gun that you can shoot.
You should absolutely always upgrade your iron sights on a Glock, especially if you’re running a dot so you can co-witness.
Does the wild 1 fit same holsters as aplc or tlr7a?
Yes it does, and actually the IncogX is labeled "TLR7" on the back of it. The Incog uses the ejection port of the slide for retention so the exact light usually doesn't matter as long as its basically the same size.
Good video, subbed
Check out my video comparison of some holsters that I have been using for more details, but I definitely like the Incog
w video i have g19 gen 5 as well which features did u want that ur gen 3 19 didnt have?
Honestly, I could never get a consistent draw with the Gen 3 finger grooves. I also really like the front slide serrations and the MOS optic cut. I know I could have done all of those mods after market to my Gen 3, but I was due for an upgrade anyways. Both great guns though
The Boss. G19 ❤
100%
I do not carry the MOS Gen 5 19, mine is a regular 19 gen 5. Really considering getting the holosun optic. Can I have this attachment on the regular or will it not sit flush like the MOS?
You will have to get your slide milled out to fit any optic. Depending on what footprint you get, it will not sit perfectly flush because you will have to use an optic plate
Hey buddy what’s the details on your watch? It’s slick.
Garmin Tactix 7. Best damn watch ever man. I've been wanting to make a video on it, you think I should?
Hey what’s your take on the Sig p365 and did you consider it for edc?
So this is my personal take: I used to work with a lot of former Sig employees (some of whom worked in the QC and testing department) and the stories they told about the culture at Sig completely turned me off to their products. Not only that, but the P320 safety issues solidified my beliefs that they care more about making $ than they do about higher quality products. Again, this is my opinion so don't take this as fact.
But as far as shootability and comfortability, I actually really liked the P365 (I have only shot the X Macro version of it). So take all of that with a grain of salt!
Are the enforce lights worth it?
I have not had any issues with them. Cheaper alternatives to some expensive lights on the market
How does the good grip work? Or how do you like it?
The Talon Grips work really well, they were just messing up my stomach so the Goon Tape helps with that
Im running a 19 gen 3, im looking for a light that will wont be longer than the barrel but is stronger than 700 lumens. Any suggestions?
Hard to find. Most of them are 500 lumens or less if they are short because they run on a single CR123. Can’t really produce that much more power out of those batteries. And honestly 500 is enough for most applications. Let me know if you find one though.
Great build… I have the same set up, with Streamlight trl7a light, and ameriglo trooper sights. Everything else is the same…
That’s sick! Love it
Great video
What's a rough estimate for the total price of the gun, and accessories?
MSRPs all add up to about $1300. But factor in some sales and it was less than that
While shooting, does your weapon light start coming off ur gun?
Nope, never had that happen. Is there a specific part in the video you're referring to?
I prefer the VP9sk SCS
Sick set up 👍 💯 😎
'preciate it!
What kind of ccw holster do you use with this setup?
Safariland IncogX currently. Sorry I forgot to mention that, its in my holster video
i have the similar setup with the scs how do you like it during night time or in dark areas? my biggest thing rn is wondering if the brightness enough with my wml to the point where it wipes it out.
The manual mode on the SCS is just one brightness that doesn't change, I don't recommend that setting for low light, its too bright.
how do you turn that mode on the manual ?
The perfect build
No you're the perfect build
They make a magwell for those mags
Yeah I'm sure I could find a different mag well, but it's not a huge deal for me. The slight flare that it comes with works just fine
@@defencivsolutions my buddy makes a magwell for the Vickers mag baseplates. They look sick
@@defencivsolutions sorry I linked the 17-19x one but they have a 19 one for the base plates you got
@@michaelfelderman915 not seeing a link, what is the company called? I'll look em up
Too big for edc ccw but a good open carry side arm, which i hardly ever do.
The 19 is too big? I'm a schmedium sized dude, haven't had many issues concealing it.
Is the speed feed the “pro” option?
The one I have is the G19 polymer version. Not sure what the pro version is
I have the same gun, same optic and a trl7a light. Great setup...
You need to really research the comp... before you spend your money. It would be better spent on training and ammo...
It was just a thought at the time, but I've decided otherwise! I shoot and train a lot as it is but you're totally right
Glock 43x mos… with a shield arms magazine… now it has the same capacity as a 19 and is much easier and more comfortable to conceal, the best edc…
Definitely a fantastic option! I’ve only shot it once so I’ll give it another chance and maybe migrate over
Glock 19 is the greatest gun of all time. There’s plenty of other firearms with more features but G19 is the most reliable and softest shooter.
Couldn't agree more. You can completely customize it to fit you as a shooter
You said everything on it has a purpose. What purpose is that backplate ...
To look cool.
I just bought me a Glock 19 gen 5 today😁 Can’t wait to hit the range Oh also can’t wait to add attachments
Hell yeah bro! Definitely hit up the range!
why is your dot to the left when irons are lined up
Just to make you ask
Just kidding. It's because I had an issue with the Trijicon iron sights. The rear sight is messed up somehow, so to the average onlooker, they appear not centered. But trust me, they are zero'd.
Looks good.
Thanks dude!
Was your slide milled?
Nay. Just the stock MOS cut.
what is the tape around the grip?
It's called Goon Tape
Tape for tennis rackets is also a good choice
@@anthonyblend9917 Yep! Anything to add a little friction
"Glocks are meant to be stock"...changes almost everything. 🤣
Haha fair but I was talking internals specifically. A lot of people's issues with their Glock malfunctioning come after they install fancy internal parts.
Awesome Content!
I Like All What You've Done To Your Glock.
Will Be Doing Some Of Those Upgrades Myself.
☆"Gaston Glock"☆ Generation•Five•MOS.👍💥👍...GOD BLESS HIM.☆🙏☆

Are this legal in California
Not sure man, you'll have to consult with an FFL or lawyer in CA. My guess is probably not
I don't know man.
