Thanks for showing us Gouache I have just bought cheap paints. So it was just in time for me to see how to use them. It looks a terrific medium to try.
I really appreciated this one! I too have recently started using gouache and find it a great medium. I am still getting used to it but it really took hold of my interest! I take it in a kit with me on our travels. I love to sketch in our vehicle while waiting for my hubby when we are out and about. Yes, please do more gouache paintings!
Thanks so much for demonstrating this medium. Just in time for me as I have just bought gouache paints to try. I haven’t tried them yet but it looks terrific. Love all your paintings and lessons I learn so much from you. Thanks again.
Definitely more like this please! I've got some gouache paints, and was wondering what to do with them..this tutorial was just what I was looking for. Best wishes..David in the UK.
i got to agree with you on the medium having similarities to both acrylic and oils and some say it can be used like watercolours, i cant say that much myself since ive never used watercolours myself but im having a blast with gouache and have use it like oils on many occasions
mather of fact ill watch anything you pump out been really helpful in my learnings and i appreciate the fact that your sharing your knowledge with the world like this without any strings attached !
For this particular demo I purchased a cheap set from Michael’s just to see if I would like it! So now, I love gouache and I purchased a professional set from Winsor&Newton, and WOW! What a difference!
i am on a mission to try and introduce a little bit of artisan linseed oil into my gouache to try and achieve oil paint like consistency and also give it more open time and workability! what is your take on that ?
Wow, never heard of that but let me know how it works out! If you want more open time, use Arabic Gum, you can find it at Michael’s or any other art store that sells mediums!
@@GebahiArtworks thanks so much on the arabic gum tips never tought of looking into mediums for gouache loll just had some linseed laying around and figured id go a little mad with it

Have you tried India ink and gouache technique yet? Endless possibilities! Lots of fun to be had.
No haven’t tried yet, although it has crossed my mind!
Ive never used gouache I dont get the difference to acrylic. I love your tutorials
Gouache is like watercolor except it’s opaque, and it can be reactivated with water! Acrylic is not opaque and is permanent once dry.
@@GebahiArtworks Thankyou so much
Do more gouache!
Ok, I’ll try to have more content on gouache!
Hi Karim do you think that gouache is easier to use than watercolour, love the lighthouse, thanks Jeff uk
Most definitely!!
I have always wondered what Guache was like, very interesting! Where did you find that palette? I like that idea!

How do you preserve the painting since the colors can be deactivated?
You preserve it by applying cold wax medium!
@@GebahiArtworks can you explain? I never heard of old wax medium.

Bad angle. Your hand blocks just about every brush stroke you make.
I apologize Victoria!
