  • I never really considered filming a video cleaning something that was such an aggravating area of my kitchen. But I thought if the cleaner worked or if it didn't work at least you could actually visualize the result for yourself before trying it and having it be a waste of time. I have been a victim of that myself. Luckily and to my surprise this worked great! Just a reminder the recipe I used was:
    1 cup warm water
    1 Tbsp baking soda
    1/2 squeezed fresh lemon
    Mix together and poured into a squeeze bottle.
    Good luck and remember no obnoxious smell!!!

    I love using the natural warm water, baking soda and lemon juice method. Like you said, no other cleaners have worked in the past and it used to take all day to clean the microwave vents and filters. Now, after using this method, I spend less days cleaning and more enjoying them instead lol. I absolutely love love love how easy and clean this makes everything. Wow. What a transformation and so satisfying isn't it lol.

      If you’re able to get the vent cover off and lay it in the bottom of your bathtub, like I did, you can spray the mixture on and let it sit. Re-spraying and being able to let the grease drip off is a lot easier when the vent is laying down and not vertical. I used a toothbrush on mine as well. Good luck😊

      Hi Adriana,
      I recently purchased new appliances so I’m unable to send you a picture but on that one it had 2 white screws on the front on either side, very small. I just unscrewed them and it came off. The one I currently have has a small vent on top. When I ran my fingers over it I could feel a couple screws.

      Hi Roni! OMG!!! It worked beautifully!! I was bad shape - hadn't cleaned this well in over 10 years. I found the 2 screws and soaked etc...thank you - you are AMAZING!

    If you remove those tiny screws, it will come off? I may steam clean it

    • @ourhighstreethome9177
      @ourhighstreethome9177  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, referencing the vent on top in the front. Mine and many others are held on with little screws in the front that you can unscrew and the vent comes easily off.

      You must watch for the little plastic tabs. They break off so easily.

    How does it come off!?

    • @ourhighstreethome9177
      @ourhighstreethome9177  Рік тому

      I just applied it with a sprayer and let the mixture sit on the surface. It took only a few minutes to see it was breaking up the grease. Then I just wiped it away.

      I have a hand steamer and have never thought to do that. I no longer have this microwave but I would love to know how that works. Great idea!

    How did you remove the grill

    • @ourhighstreethome9177
      @ourhighstreethome9177  3 роки тому +1

      Up on top in the front where the vents are were two little screws, one on the right and one on the left. The vent came off coming forward. I hope this helps.

    I tried this & never worked. I used 1/2 c of baking soda & 1/4 c of Dawn dish soap & let it soak in hot water in the tub for about 1 hr or more. It loosened the build-up of grease & look new once again
