  • Greg's spent MONTHS developing the new and improved version of his first automated fish catcher, the FISH-O-MATIC! Not only does the NEW Fish Catcher 300 catch AND cook the fish, but it also uses a guillotine to dispatch it. You'll want to see this contraption in action!
Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

If a fish was hungry enough to hunt, it would not be still as a block of ice when caught. Facts. Also still agree he is a low-key genius!

      - Actually, I was thinking that the oil/butter and seasonings should be already there, but the mechanism that turns off the motor for the reel, also activates a spark trigger to ignite the tinder under the pan, so the fuel doesn't start burning until after the fish is in the pan, and the seasoning and oil/butter will not burn or have to be dispensed. That was what i was thinking would be working better while watching it because otherwise a lot of the fuel could burn away if the fish doesn't catch right away, like say a half hour before it gets a bite, then most of the fuel would be used up and the fire going out.

Guillotine is pronounced "gee-yo-teen", with the word being of Spanish origins and the two lowercase "L's" turn into a "y" in terms of the sound it'll make and it's pronunciation. Great videos by the way though sir 👍👍

The French changed the Anglo Saxon pronunciation to gillateen. But, you're right: it's gi-a-teen

Greg you made me laugh so much with all the trials & tribulations making your Guillotine fish-o-matic. Where do you find the time? Nothing is impossible in your world. Glad to see the pup growing up & being so happy to be part of your adventures; Going to be a great temperament when fully grown.
