- In just a few minutes, Mark takes you along as he throws one of his lovely tall tumblers, that he refers to as Iced Tea Ceremony Vessels.
He writes: "Tea drinking has fueled pottery making across the globe. Vessels are required. Bowls for the Japanese Tea Ceremony, teacups and saucers for English tea-time and mugs here in the US are easy examples. Here in the South iced tea (or sweet tea as it is usually called) is a favorite drink. I created these tall tumblers Iced Tea Ceremony Vessels, just what we need here for for our Iced Tea Ceremony."
They range from 8-9" tall, and hold about 18-20 oz., enough to quench a thirst.
You can find them for sale (as long as inventory lasts) on the online store.

great to bring just over a pound of clay that high, very elegant Mark.
Thanks for the demo.
Always so very cool to see an experienced artist doing their thing......exceptional presentation and while for you, it is 3 minute creation, to others it is a moment in form, taste and style. Keep 'em coming!!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.
Starting my second year now in pottery.
I'm ready to improve my skills to the next level.
This will be a great challenge.
That height at 1 1/4 lbs of clay is insane. Wow.
