I learned so much of this 25 years ago by Dr Perriconne. I did it for my looks, less wrinkles. :) A trick with Oats is a pinch of salt. It can make it taste sweet. And some Vanilla... don't need to add any sugar.

This is so important for me to watch. My cholesterol is 310 and I was so depressed. I’m going to do it exactly as he says. My cardiologist put me on Rosuvastatin 20 mg and I’m in panic. I’m going to do the oatmeal for breakfast. I’ve been doing the avocado, etc. thank dr Li. You are so wise and so pleasant to watch. You are calm and a wonderful teacher.

Be sure you are metabolically healthy (no prediabetes or diabetes) . Oatmeal is carb-dense food and will spike blood sugar. You do not want to become Insulin resistant .

It’s always good to keep reminding about oxidative stress on the body, i remember learning about this many years ago and being horrified, always used to take anti oxidants after that and vit C at quite high doses. Mostly I eat more polyphenols and fruit n veggies now plus your 5 recommended heart healthy foods, I know I don’t get as much exercise as I was doing and life is very stressful the last few years thanks to others around me but am hoping I’ve done enough. It’s impossible to do it all but knowledge is power. Great video 😊

@adaurbinati9167 I actually microwave the eggs scrambled in a egg cooker to save time (my grandmother did it for years). Doing 10 minutes of light exercise like a walk right after eating will also lower glucose. Also cut oil seed oils, so bad for everything

If you don't want the oats to spike your sugar, cook them the night before, kool them then put it in the frig over night. What this does is turn the oats into resistant starch. I don't understand how this doctor doesn't explain this. Also doesn't explain high colesterol very well. There is more to it then what he is saying. Not impressed with his video.

Thanks for all your video's. I have high triglycerides, and LDL, I've been put on a low dose Statin - Crestor. I have been eating all the right foods, very very rarely anything that's not good, and stopped restaurants. My numbers now are good! Thing is I have FH (in my genes) and from what I've read, can only control 20% of the cholesterol, and my body makes it by itself, very difficult to control (I come from French Canadian genes- which is one of the bad genes). I'd love to hear a bit about this as 90% of people that have it don't know it, I read. I have several people in my family with it as it a parent has it, you have a 50% chance of being born with it! (maybe a young stroke or heart attack).... So, it' might be interesting to people to know.

Make the oats the night before, then cool the oats and leave it in the frig over night. This will turn the oats into resistant starch and your gut will use the oats as a prebiotic. It will be digested much slower so you don't get a big spike all at once.

@garrygballard8914 Sunscreen causes vitamin D loss, there ARE some good reasons to use sunscreen after you've been exposed to about a half hr of sun...I think it's like 40 minutes of sun gives you 40,000 iu's of D...after that you can use sunscreen without too much issues, personally I'd use one mostly comprised of zinc,it blocks better if ur afraid of skin cancer, and there IS a rise in that, it's always good to read the labels to know WHAT you are putting on ur body's largest organ-yr skin...it does penetrate the body, can be toxic to many levels...use something you trust☺️
