  • Easy guitar lesson.
Every guitar effects demo (all guitar effects tutorial)
    Most popular guitar effects demonstration
    (in one video):
    Chorus
    Phaser
    Flanger
    Tremolo
    Vibrato
    Wah-wah
    Delay/Echo
    Reverb
    Overdrive/Distortion
    Noise gate
    Acoustic Simulator
    Chorus:
    Chorus pedals mimic the effect
    choirs and string orchestras
    produce naturally by mixing sounds
with slight differences in timbre and pitch.
    Phaser:
    A phaser or "phase shifter"
creates a slight rippling effect - amplifying some aspects
of the tone while diminishing others - by splitting
an audio signal in two and altering the phase of one portion.
    Flanger:
A flanger creates a "jet plane" or "spaceship" sound,
    simulating a studio effect produced
by recording a track on two synchronized tapes
and periodically slowing one tape by pressing
the edge of its reel (the "flange").
    Tremolo:
A tremolo effect produces a slight,
rapid variation in the volume of a note or chord.
    Vibrato:
Vibrato effects produce slight, rapid variations in pitch,
mimicking the fractional semitone variations produced
naturally by opera singers and violinists
    when prolonging a single note.
    Wah-wah:
Wah is a type of guitar effects pedal that alters the tone of the
signal to create a distinctive effect, mimicking the human voice.
The pedal sweeps the peak response of a filter up and down
in frequency to create the sound (spectral glide),
also known as "the wah effect."
    Delay/Echo:
Delay/Echo units produce an echo effect
    by adding a duplicate instrument-to-amplifier
electrical signal to the original signal at a slight time-delay.
    Reverb:
    Reverb units simulate sounds produced
in an echo chamber by creating a large number
of echoes that gradually fade or "decay".
    Overdrive/Distortion
Over/Dist effects are sometimes called "gain" effects.
Distortion effects create "warm", "gritty" and "fuzzy" sounds
by "clipping" an instrument's audio signal,
which distorts the shape of its wave form and adds overtones.
    Noise gate:
Noise gates eliminate "hum", "hiss" and "static"
by greatly diminishing the volume of sounds
that fall below a set threshold.
    Acoustic Simulator:
    Acoustic Simulators enable electric guitars
to mimic the sound of acoustic guitar.
This is a lesson for beginner
    Guitar effects pedals
    Best guitar effect

Not a bad video. Don't listen to what other people said. They point of this video wasn't to show off skill or anything. It was suppose to showcase different effects and that's exactly what it did. Missed a few effects though.

I thank you VERY MUCH for a nice demonstration of various electric guitar effects. About the mains ones missed here are the blues effect and 12-string effect. This video may be VERY HELPFUL in me explaining stuff to other people. My least favorites are the distortion and overdrive. I thank you VERY MUCH for your demo! I particularly liked you saving probably the best for last--the acoustic effect. That was AMAZING!

    "You play horribly! Weeeh!"
    "You guitar is off-tune! Weeeeh!"
Ok... * takes deep breath. *
    1. Not the point of the video;
    2. Risk of copyright strike if any of the songs rub the site's policy the wrong way;
    3. Have you watched his other videos?;
    4. What part of "All guitar effects demonstration in one video (MOST POPULAR effects demo)" is so hard to get? This is an introductory video for laymen and beginners who wanna learn about electric guitar effects and their differences, not for people who already are in intermediate/advanced stages!
    5. Maybe this is why half of you never managed to get inside a band or didn't stay in it for long despite playing well??? Abrasive attitude, lack of objective thinking, and difficulty at providing feedback in a positive light. These are all the ingredients for a horrible group dynamic. Being good just doesn't cut it. That's what separates the amateur from the professional.

Thanks for posting, this is very educational and will help me decide which effects I need and which I don’t. Two questions: 1.Is there a more subtle version of the wah effect? What I mean is can you add different “amounts” of wah, so it is more subtle and not as extreme sounding as is done here? 2: could you possibly put times in the video description? When fast forwarding in the video I can’t really tell where I am. Thanks!

Question for someone whose smart hopefully. Would a noise gate reduce the sound off scratching from blocked off notes through my amp. Like when im playing a song that I need to strum but only want 2 notes to come through, I end up scratching the other strings making it sound really annoying. would a noise gate help that?

    • @carson2668
      @carson2668 2 роки тому

I would assume so, maybe turn your tone down some too? probably the most important thing is to make sure your properly muting the other strings with your index finger, even if its not perfect. As long as you aim your strums right and fret right you'll e golden

    • @anonymousstout4759

Agree that's sounded more like about technique than the riggings of the guitar you need to learn to mute the unwanted strings
