Holy crap, that's a lot to remember.
Trijicon is the only Pistol dot ill use, i would love for this to come out with a green option.
You can only get the Red Dot for $850, the green dot will probably cost 3,000... Luckily you will get the blue tent that obscures your view on the glass at no additional cost...
@@JohnAdams-mu7xd Once its actually in stores it'll probably end up around 550-650, but I dont really understand what you're saying about a blue tint obscuring the glass?
@@assclapper2231 considering holosun has some military contracts and proven designs already. Cope is incorrect. I don't even own any holosun yet I can admit trijicon is LATE to the game and still has design flaws other optics don't have. I
i modify the red dot so i can change any color i want. click here to see more...
@matthewllinet7920 military contracts? What contracts and what branch? None are Berry Compliant because they are chinesium. Please say which one is Compliant. I'd love to know.
Well that only took 14 years...
@@assclapper2231you still get the blue tint on the glass that obscures your view at no additional cost... I also think Trijicon is going to introduce a financing plan like a 30-year mortgage...
...To make a holosun copy.
You mean it took 14 years for anyone to make anything that compares to the RMR
@@Jerkasaur it took 14 years for trijicon to really update the rmr.
The first generation rmrs had a flickering issue with the red dot
Man, happy trijicon finally started updating their lineup of dots. Holosun has been making some cool stuff but they do have some issues I've witnessed first hand. Enclosed emitter dots getting moisture inside (509t), an open emitter holosun having the battery tray fly out of the gun after a screw snapped, etc. Not saying trijicon is perfect (had to send a battery powered acog into them for warranty). But I definitely trust em way more than holosun.
i had the battery tray also fly out of the eps carry. a little blue glue and hasnt happened again.
@zaf88 Hey, for the price they make a great product. Still have a 509t and I love it
i agree. love my eps carry. i wish trijicon would add some of the standard holosun features!
Now if only I can find one in stock
for real the zev hypercomp sights suck and im waiting for this dot to be in stock so i can live a normal life lol
Love Trijicon ❤ 🎯
LOVE MY RMR 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks you
Really is Christmas in July!
Will this be available in party colors? Od, fde, etc?
i see trijicon hired the old vcr clock engineers to design this menu
Can Trijicon guys do a video like this but for the RCR?
Not sure which will wear out first,my thumbs or these buttons. holy shit.
Hold button three seconds hold button for three more seconds after that hold the buttons for three seconds, and then hold the button for three seconds while holding the buttons for three seconds you hold the button for three seconds.
20 secs for a reset
I don't think you watched the video carefully enough, judging from your description you are about 17 seconds short.
Now we need a level 3 retention holster for this optic to fit in with your weapon
When are you gonna do one with a green reticle?
Take my money!!!
Oh they will
Will this work with the nighthawk iOS plate
Does this work w aftermarket plates?
Wondering if I can set it and forget it. Can I use just the single MOA 3.25 DOT. Then holster for days. Then when I shoot again will it save my last settings or do I have to change this each time I go shooting. This would kinda defeat the purpose of all these option... wait a second mister intruder let me set the DOT first then you can rob me? Thanks in advance
🎉🎉🎉
Hold on, bad guy! I have to go into administrative mode, to adjust my brightness.😂🤣
No matter how many times I watch this video I can't get the dot to go back into automatic brightness mode...help
Does it fit the Glock 43x
This buttonology was more like a messology. Holy crap… hold 3 secs, hold 10 secs, power down, hold 3 secs
How many times are you gonna be playing with your buttons?
@@Three60CrusaderIf you are in manual mode a couple times a day at least.
up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A and Start
What's the reason for the overhang?
Room for the top mounted battery I believe.
Looks like a really good optic, then I saw the price. Probably not a buy for me when there are some REALLY good optics out there now far cheaper.
Will this fit on a Glock 43X?
Are you going to pull an ACRO, and have them always out of stock 2years after “release”?????
If you release them, please have them actually available…..please.
(Not just to guntubers)
I wish i was financially more stable...lol
top ramen diet
I’ll take 3
Dude that's like $2,600.00....
i need a 2nd source of income. LOL
Does the RMR HD have the same "splatter" star dot the RMR was notorious for having?!?!
That’s about your eyes (specifically astigmatism) not the optic.
@@M1911jln Bullshit. I have 20/20 vision and the RMR (especially the early ones) were well known for having the "splatter" dot issue. This was part of the reason for the development of the SRO, which eliminated that issue for that model.
@@assclapper2231 This was a well-known issue in the earlier RMR models, hopefully, the present day generation has this issue resolved in the RMR series.
You can have 20/20 vision and astigmatism….
@@smithn.wesson495 why do you adamentally make an asshole out of yourself while not knowing what you're talking about? It is an eye issue. But even then it doesn't matter. I use 8moa dots and have a gnarly astigmatism and still shoot M class in USPSA. If you hold a camera to a red dot it will apear perfectly crisp, but if you look through it yourself it may look splattery/bursting/smearing/etc. that is your eyes and an astigmatism.
When do these ship?
Optics planet has em 645.00 and ships approx 30days
I wish that were true. Placed my order on 08/19/23. Now OP says the expected delivery date is 05/20/24. That’s worse than the ATF. 🤬
@@masonj0627 lmao, I ended up going with the RCR, ordered in early September from Primary arms (great site btw) and it still says they are due mid December 😂.
Release a model with a 5 moa dot only and get rid of all the unnecessary modes
Yeah, too much BS on this.
Good to have options
Wow. I didn’t even think Trijicon was still even in business. All I’ve been seeing in the premium optic end has been nothing but Holosun.
Funny, every time I take a pistol class it's 90% RMR's on everyones handguns.
@@Skinnymoose i work in industy, honestly 90% of the returns or send in for repair are holosuns.
@@petern9928 I believe that.
@@petern9928yep, holocrap and premium are laughable concepts. That is like a Timex watch and a Marathon. Seriously you are correct local PD dropped there holocrap do to being faulty and switched back to Trijicon.
Too bad you can’t find them ANYWHERE!
$850!
😆
Insane
@@assclapper2231 you know what's funny spending double the amount on a Ferrari and still getting beaten by a Mercedes... cool you spend more money
$645 on Kenzie's Optics (pre-order)
640 like everywhere
Tell me holosun isn't making people start to think about innovation lol
Yup. I see no need to look any further then Holosun st this time. Especially when the RMR is double the price
I have a 507k and a 507c and both have been flawless. I’m not saying the RMR is it an excellent optic, it’s just that i can’t justify the price
@@assclapper2231 My RMR with a crack in the diode lens from recoil. Neither company has the best track record when it comes to QC, I'm currently on my third SRO (previous two had unusable artifacts on the lens at brighter settings), and an old ACOG that doesn't adjust windage unless it's banged against something.
@@jays9211Then don’t Holosun is made in China and funded by the CCP. People like cheap goods made by an exploited labor force. We ALL do! 😅😂
@@jays9211holosun is a broke man’s optic
Looks like they're trying to win back customers they've lost. Courious about price and glass clarity. I would like to see green illumination first, then maybe a closed emitter model.
this video could’ve been made to explain everything better
So no green available?? 🙄
Green will be phased out within 5 years. Total Fad.
@@Kh2456 😆😆
@@Kh2456 except for those of us with astigmatism's as it really helps. Also green is picked up by the eye easier than red.
This is absurdly complicated. It’s like cracking a safe.
Holosun is legit beating you guys at your own game took y’all 14 years to come out with this 😂
Holosun’s have failed me multiple times but I agree Trijicon has been falling behind
@@Unknown-cq1kmTrijicon his failed me multiple times also the quality is incredibly poor and what's with the blue tint on the glass...
@@JohnAdams-mu7xdthe barely-visible tint on the glass is for the dot to reflect off of so you get long battery life.
Easy to innovate in a communist country with low quality recycled materials...
@@JohnAdams-mu7xd yeah that may be true but the failures of a Holosun are far more than a Trijicon what kind of failures have you had with a Trijicon?
The correct placement puts the rear sight in front of the optic not behind it. I wonder if this over hang will fit on Glock that have been custom milled to RMR and the correct rear site in front of the optic.
Correct? That's a preference. Most Mil/LE guys I know run irons behind glass. Would you shoot a carbine length weapon with irons in front of glass? No. You want the longest sight radius possible.
@bobmurphy2216 like I said it's correct. You don't have to understand or follow. It has to do with the way your eyes process data. Your set up is slower. Research the godfather of red dots on hand guns Aaron Cowan of sage dynamics. If you don't have the rear site forward that's wrong but again feel free to be wrong and slower it doesn't bother me. Hours and hours of this information in on you tube if you want to learn
@timpetrillo2802 I'll bet I'm faster than you either way, even with no sights on my gun.
Bad ass
Not closed emitter not interested. Not getting lint and belly hair in my optic is great.
You just got to work in blowing the lint out into your draw stroke man.
They just released the RCR closed emitter along with this in their new line….
I'm guessing it cost more than some of my guns...
All the features of a Holosun 507c for 3 times the price.
It’s $600
Made In China always makes shit cheaper.
Yeah, Holosun ain’t duty quality kiddo. That’s the important difference you apparently can’t understand.
@@60bweb My man half the cops I know run a Holosun and have never had an issue.
@@cesarfernandez4012 they sound poor
Looking much better, but, needs a green reticle option before I buy one.
The battery life will go from “5 years” to “5 hours.”😂
@@f308gtb1977 My HS507C doesn't have that problem in green. Nice try.
@contingencyibct3120 Green is far more visible than red. I have both green and red reticles, it's only a "fad" if you're stuck on one platform/reticle.
Sounds like too many adjustments that you'll most likely never use.
That’s way too much bs on a red dot… I’ll probably still buy one, but for defensive purposes, simpler is always better IMO.
I agree. I'd most like never use all that stuff....K.I.S.S.
Just shut up and take my money please.
Holosun MADE IN CHINA .Trijicon MADE IN USA OK remember that PLEASE.
I like Holosun but people out here shilling for them is sad. Chinese company which is funded by the CCP which would see our 2nd amendment rights stripped away tomorrow if they were in charge or we lived in China.
Americans: "tHe StANdarD sYSteM iS suPEriOR" (implying "imperial is "standard")
Also Americans: "make sure it's torqued to 16 INCH POUNDS"
Also America: crashes Mars Climate Orbiter into another planet because converting between the two is hard
Inferiority complex from the rest of the world is a real issue. 😂
Will this work on the brownell rmr slides?
This buttonology is horrifically bad. How did any of you think this was a reasonable user interface? There is no way that I would be able to remember this without reading the manual. You need to either 1) simplify the number of features, or 2) add another button or two, because this is completely unusable.
Agreed. If I ever get one, it’s going into one mode and never changing, because I won’t know how.😂
@@assclapper2231 imagine reading comprehension being so low that a person actually thought not being able to read was at all relevant to the conversation.
@@assclapper2231 Do you always bring the manual for your optic with you to the range? Do you like having to search for the manual on your phone while at the range? Or would it be better to have an optic with controls that are intuitive enough that you can adjust it as necessary without having to refer to the manual again?
My argument is that this interface has too many modes where you press and hold the buttons, then you are in this mode or that mode. You won't be able to remember that, so you'll need to refer to the manual to adjust it. I don't have any problem reading the manual when setting up the optic for the first time. I have a problem with an optic that is so unintuitive that I have to repeatedly refer to the manual.
Think about an Aimpoint H1. Once you've zeroed it, all you need to do is adjust the brightness, and you don't have to dig out the manual to figure out how to do that.
I'm too stupid to use it, I know that.
Holosun

@f308gtb1977 Well, at least you can bust out the dremell or heat gun. I'm going to shell out for the enclosed rmr.
@@rustymacshackleford6276 actually on some of my holsters, the RMR is already up to the mounting hardware. I cut a few holsters for RMR’s when I got them put on, years ago, and those were mostly cut to the max. But yes, still less of a problem than a 509.
