I’ve adopted an “aggressive” cat, the shelter had a big warning on her kennel and even waived the adoption fee when I said I wanted her. Learning to understand her and communicate has been so rewarding. Now she’s the happiest and friendliest cat, she even helps bring the foster cats out of their shells and teaches them how to socialize. Sometimes a cat just needs love and patience ❤
Too many people think animals aren't capable of deep emotion. Too many people think animals don't have souls. I guess it makes it easier for us to justify our own cruelty and carelessness with animals. Thank you for loving her enough to understand she was going through trauma and giving her time to heal.
@@hafirenggayuda even that's debatable, Dolphins have shown levels of intelligence that rivals our own, they can use tools we give them, they communicate with eachother with spoken language, they are incredibly intelligent and may rival our own
Having emotions does not equate to having a soul. Your emotions are literally just a regular, explainable and measurable function of your brain. Just like breathing.
There is a feral cat colony not far from where I live. They do raise the kittens in a communal way, they are the groups kittens in a sense. So yeah, it seems like this cat was doing the same thing - helping raise the babies in the family.
@@DreamsRemorse This is also why you see a lot of videos of cats dropping their kittens right next to a human baby. They are trying to raise them all together like kittens.
Before I was born, our cat would sleep on my mother’s stomach all the time. After birth, she’d lie in my crib, on the diaper table when i needed a new diaper, and came to me EVERY TIME I CRIED until I turned 14. Then I went to my grandpa’s funeral, she died while I was attending it. She was my love, my everything. If I ever have a daughter, I’ll name her after my cat.
She had a broken heart. It must mean really she was always one of the sweetest cats out there. What hooman ever loses six children at a time? Animals are amazing in their capacity to love.
My childhood cat thought I was her kitten. She’d groom me with her tongue, and nip me if I was being rude. My current cat lost her sister several years ago (they were a bonded pair we adopted as kittens) and her grief took the form of anger. She’d self isolate, she’d never purr, and she’d be indifferent to affection at best, aggressively opposed to it at worst. It took years for her to heal, but she’s much better now. Cats are very emotionally complex, and it takes a lot of patience and love to help a cat heal from a broken heart. Thank you for doing that for her. ❤
My cat was very aggressive but the older he got and the more he learned how to behave he is pretty chill now. He is and always has been such a sweetheart, just has some anger issues. But nothing ever worth euthanasia for. I could take a few bites for such a wonderful cat. Maybe not good for a kids home. But cats deserve to be placed in a home that can nurture them.
*My earliest & most treasured memories are of my calico Putzi, sleeping next to me in bed or on the floor, She was my favorite hello & my hardest goodbye. I hope your family enjoys a similar relationship, a life of years free from tears. Strength and courage, love and luck!* 😻🤞🫶🍀
Thank you for not giving up on a cat who had been dumped abandoned and traumatized, you have such a big heart words can't express the joy I feel that you all share such a bond
Our rescued cat was a bit aggressive when we got him. I tried everything. We already had an older rescue cat, whom he attacked on a regular basis. So, we had to separate them. Eventually, I got him some CBD chews for cats. Now, he is a much more even tempered kitty. He's happier, and so are we. 💖
Like humans, many animals are capable of both trauma and the healing process. I'm glad a family was able to figure out what she needed and provide it all to her :)
I'm so grateful to people like you who have the love and patience to give these animals who might not readily receive it but definitely deserve it. Animals can be misunderstood just like us if not even more so but with the right heart, they can turn around. Thank you for saving her life. ❤ 🙏 all the best to you and your loved ones.
Animals are beings just like us, but the difference is they don’t have the logic in their brain they act by instinct. So, this kitty perhaps after loosing their kitties was mad angry 😢thanks for taking care of her not letting it go and love animals
That kitty lost her beloved kittens and used anger, an alienated but actually completely normal emotion to grieve. I lost my 2 household cats years ago and i've been using desperate ignorance to grieve ever since. I suppose we all have a thing or two to learn from her.
Well im crying now 😢 My cat was aggressive and attacked us all the time. Turned out that once he had access to the backyard he became the softest sweetest cat ever that all the neighbors love. He just viewed being always indoors as a prison and needed access to both in and out
my cat is gone after giving birth to 2 kittens around 2-3 weeks ago in my nephew room, she always love back home, care to play with my 2 nephew, even take sleep in their room or with my father side. last time I see her, she check my back yard for mouse in the evening, then after 2 days I didn't see her again after my mom told me the kitten hungry, puu isn't coming back. she always calling whenever the front door is shut so she can enter or she can jump from the backyard. I supposed someone took her or somebody put rat poison around their home and she might be ate that thing. poor 2 kitten, she never make a fuss or do meowing around, keep silent and do whatever she pleased.
Curious, .....back in the 60s it was all about using a cat net over the baby's pram/crib to prevent the cat from suffocating babhy by laying on it. Presume that doesn't happen nowadays..... Caro
Animals are automatons, organic machines with neither thought, soul, or rationality. They react only to stimulis and thus their behavior is uniform. That has its advantages: an animal cannot lie or deceive, so when it shows love- which is a desire for further positive stimuli -its love is the ultimate example of pure, unconditional love. As animals are machines, they can be deduced: the fact that you spared that cat from euthanasia and discovered why it was so aggressive was the best stimulis of all. It has been shown that consistent negative stimulis can cause severe reactions that do not cease: in men it is trauma, in animals it is a negative feedback loop. Cats are social animals and child rearers: the need to reproduce is primal and being denied that is perhaps the worst negative stimulis outside of violence. Were yyou told of its kittens' death, or did you guess based on the cat's actions? You saw the cat in that negative feedback loop and took compassion: I am in awe at your heart and capacity for goodness to do so much for a mere animal. I was so happy watching that cat be social and gentle. All the cat wanted was the satisfaction of the primitive desire to reproduce: substituting a kitten enabled it to fulfill the basic need of rearing offspring. Then came the interactions with the baby and my heart just melted. Wow! My heart sings just watchimg this. You are truly, truly a beautiful human being. You are going to be an awesome mother to your infant.
My cat became angry and aggressive after my special needs dog died. Her bio brothers came back to live with us a year later……still attacks the one and has a short fuse with him nearly 5 years later. He was always the sickly one. Maybe she can’t stand the thought of getting close to another she could possibly lose. I’m the only one she doesn’t attack…..except to jump on my body at night. Every place on my body she’s jump on, there was a medical problem we weren’t seeing.
This is why I don't like neutering and/or spaying my cats. Who am I to play God? I've had so many through the years. They just grow up and leave. Some of them come back when they are old, stay for a few days, a week probably... And never to be seen again. I just leave enough food for them, outside my door. And blankets in boxes, when it gets too cold.

That's all it takes, is working to understand the cat instead of expecting the cat to behave your way ❤
Cats often act badly at shelters. It is a strange and stressful environment💔.
She just needed someone to love and understood her and be patient with her. And it was certainly worth it. She is amazing

What if she was agressive for thinking humans took her kittens?
