We need updates on Wiley's condition and to know what's wrong. I really feel sorry for him. Keep up the good spirits, Wiley. I'm glad that the igloo makes him a little happier.
My dog was in pain and her "bones" hurt! They thought it was cancer. They did exploratory surgery. Three vets later, three opinions later and thousands of dollars later, they were still clueless!! Then, our "young " Vet called an "old-timer" Vet who suggested that it sounded like a fungal infection. After only a few weeks of medication the dog , who could barely move at that point, started to bounce back and within a few months was ciompletely cured!! Fungus!!!

New kid coming in ordering a $15000 part waiting 6 months for fabrication, old-timer comes up and says "give me x,y, and 2xz" apparently that's exactly the same thing and cost $300 but some company saw a market to go wild with greed and new guy wasn't taught what they actually needed, just taught to ask for the big ticket. Sometimes you just need the wise old sage xD
@@pnwsallyIf you've been giving him glucosamine supplements they can cause skeletal problems. Over time too much can build up & drain other vital nutrients from the body, especially in dogs. It causes skeletal issues ironically. If he's on glucosamine stop giving it for a few weeks, see if he improves. Best of luck from GSD owner.

With my dogs...........going to the vets seems to cure every ailment they have. (not due to the vet doing a damn thing btw) I feel terrible if that's what it is too because chances are they just want attention from me and I brought them to their version of hell.
It probably pulled a muscle. Here in canada people have ro wait months sometimes to get an mri if they think somethings wrong, this dog just casually getting 2 🤣🤣🤣
Does Wiley need to be outside nearly all the time? Inside with humans is probably too warm. At least give him the option and have a dog-flap on your door and secure yard?

Ouch, this one really hit me in the feels. I had a Husky in Viriginia that was almost identical that started suffering from arthritis when he was 14. Still able to go on walks, but needed to be carried up stairs and lifted into the car. Eventually he developed bone cancer at 15 and wouldn't survive treatment, so I had him put to sleep to spare him further suffering. I've cried like that maybe 3 times in the 54 years I've lived, and still miss him terribly 15 years later. Do the best you can, let them know how loved they are and appreciate every moment you have with them. Those photos and videos are all you'll have left of them one day!

Reminds me of when my dog had inflammation around one of her vertebrae. It came and went, so it was almost impossible to figure out what was wrong at first. She would be in so much pain, even unable to walk at times because it affected her spinal cord and limited the use of her back legs. But between anti-inflammatory medication and cold laser and red light therapy, she was up and running again.
I wish there was a diagnosis for the poor guy but I'm glad he has great care givers. I'd also love to see a follow up video telling us what's wrong and what the vet can do to help him. Hang in there Wiley, we're all rooting for you!
What a beautiful story...so sorry that Wiley and you (bestest doggo mom and boyfriend, ever!), are going through so much. I had a black Lab named Luna, who tore her cruciate ligament, and I know so well the impact of these big, athletic dogs living through times of severe restriction in their activities. Will be sending ongoing prayers and healing for Wiley and you all, and all brilliance to his vets so that they find the source of his injury and a clear road to the quickest recovery possible. First off, the boyfriend is a keeper, for doing that! He knows how much your dog means to you, so he wanted to see you both happy! Secondly, Wiley looked tickled pink about his igloo ❤❤❤ the way he was smelling the air…so cute! Just a suggestion, maybe try switching him to a raw diet! So much of what we eat…dogs included…affects us! There is so much scary stuff out there, when it comes to canned dog foods and kibble! I pray you find out what’s wrong!!! ❤❤❤
I know you're probably inundated with advice, but trying a more natural diet coupled with joint health chews and *gentle* exercise (shorter time, less difficult terrain, etc) could possibly help Wiley to be less painful. Idk if you've had him checked for hip dysplasia and/or knee issues but I wanted to mention it just in case. I sincerely hope Wiley is back to his old self again soon! 💙💚🤘🏻

My dog is a huge Alaskan malamute and Akita crossbreed. He’s 12 now and has been dealing with shoulder problems since he wiped out a couple years ago after his mom passed away. They had him on vetprofen for awhile and it helped slightly. This last visit they gave him a monoclonal antibody injection (90 bucks). They said it would take a few days to kick in but wow when it did it’s been ghe most significant change I’ve ever seen in terms of dog pain meds. He’s back to jogging around and getting excited and playing. It’s a monthly infection that I’ll gladly pay to have my big boy enjoy the later years of his life. Hope your dog is well now! Dogs are absolutely the greatest in my book. Hats off to you both for all the love and attention you shower Wiley with. I can't believe there are actually ppl in this world who abuse, mistreat and neglect dogs...any animal for that matter. We r lucky to have them and all their unconditional love and devotion. 🐶🐱🫶
My heart goes out to those people. We had a similar experience with our Akita having pain and problems with his back legs. He was bedridden for almost a whole year, until he got better 2 surgeries later. Watching your dog suffer is the worst feeling an owner can have. But whatever light you can bring to them makes a difference. I hope they can find the answers to help that husky.
To anyone wondering out there that hasn't seen their Tik Tok, Wiley is in better condition now and is able to be the lovable, usually playful self without pain thanks to Prednisone. You all can stop worrying now.
Our female malamute tore her ACL and behaved in a similar way, shaking and crying when she would try to stand on her own. Thankfully an emergency vet was able to diagnose it and prescribed pain meds and muscle relaxers. Those along with activity restriction for a short period of time and she’s healed up as good as new. Our Irish Wolfhound had similar issues. They diagnosed it as Wobblers Syndrome. He has occasional episodes & all we can do is give him Gabapentin & Carprofen. I-t lasts a few days & then will be gone for awhile. Hes had maybe 5 or 6 episodes in the last 2 years. The neurologist wanted to do exploratory surgery but they couldn't guarantee me that they could actually fix anything. I chose not to put him through major surgery on a "posibility" so we just deal with it when it comes. We still take him for walks but dont allow him to run at high speeds anymore. But I just took him home & gave him all the love he could handle 😊. He is now 7 years old but is very healthy for his age. IW life spans are only 6 - 8 years so we count every day we have him a blessing.

Hi, experienced vet here. Ive seen 2 similar cases during studies and one a year or so later. My professer was incredible, according to him this dog might be suffering from a severe case of ligma. Get him back to the vet and get it checked, its a rare disease, hence most dont do the appropriate tests.

We have a Siberian cross and she developed an auto-immune disorder at one year old that had her yelping in pain just to stretch. It took a battery of tests to figure it out, and now she lives on Carprofen/Rimadyl to keep the joint inflammation in check.
My dog have the same symptoms, and it puzzled most vets but one vet said it was immune mediated polyarthritis in dogs symptoms and they prescribed a course of steroids which did the trick. Maybe worth checking with your vet.
I'm gonna pray for your husky to get better I live with 12 dogs and they made me an member of their species, and I can't look at a dog with a good heart in pain.
Oh the poor boy, get well soon sweetheart! You both are doing so well to give him the best care possible. Having had huskies before, injuries akin to this sometimes spring up from an incorrect harness if they've done any sledding/pull work.
I think my dog has the same injury. It’s a combo of thigh and stomach muscles. It’s just the way dogs are built. The thigh muscle goes from the leg an up along the stomach. Psoas muscle area
My dog had the same problem My Beagle was 12 he also loved going outside in the snow but unfortunately he also was hurt looked like the same as your dog I took my dog to vets also an they couldn't find anything so i felt horrible i hated to give him pain meds it took his happiness away he was in pain if he didn't take a pill so it was a no win situation After more tests his doctors said it unfortunately was a nerve pressing in his Neck so we had to do surgery an it was great back to Beau for the next year so he turned 13 an he was loving life Until one night he started Yelping like 2 years ago so unfortunately back to the vet an they said he re injured it again an there will be no more surgery he will not go threw that again so for the next 6 months they told me he will always be in pain because it was Nerve damage an I couldn't bear to have him crying every time he turned his neck an the doctors said sorry but make him as comfortable as I could me an my husband did what we could he had 14 beautiful years with us I I Raised him from birth an he was my Best friend so I no your pain an Im praying for you all an I pray he is doing better an he is laying out in the snow I put my Beau to sleep last May 2023 it was one of the hardest things I ever had to do but I believe hes running an Hunting like crazy having fun crossed the Rainbow Bridge an I will meet him again when God says it time an Beau sister is 8 she Misses him also she is a beautiful Beagle girl ❤ so anyway Im praying for Wylie an I pray for you all Amen!🙏🏻❤🐕❤🐕🙏🏻

So it was a torn tendon? But this dog's illness seems long-term

Your Love for your dog is so loving. Despite is injury you do not neglect him. So much love from here. I can only but reminisce About my dead Dog 😔😢 (Ricky). I wasn't there for him when he needed me the most and because of my demanding job I lost him to an illment 😢😢.

Actually it wasn't a fun period for me at all. He was my only companion.
But I dusted up and stopped wallowing when I got a new business investing with Mrs Laura Muller. earning in the thousands. Now I got time for my new pet Ricky Jnr (in memory of Ricky) And also a better paying investment job 😊

Ive seen 2 similar cases during studies and one a year or so later.
My professer was incredible, according to him this dog might be suffering from a severe case of ligma.
Get him back to the vet and get it checked, its a rare disease, hence most dont do the appropriate tests.

We have a Siberian cross and she developed an auto-immune disorder at one year old that had her yelping in pain just to stretch. It took a battery of tests to figure it out, and now she lives on Carprofen/Rimadyl to keep the joint inflammation in check.
My dog have the same symptoms, and it puzzled most vets but one vet said it was immune mediated polyarthritis in dogs symptoms and they prescribed a course of steroids which did the trick. Maybe worth checking with your vet.

I'm gonna pray for your husky to get better I live with 12 dogs and they made me an member of their species, and I can't look at a dog with a good heart in pain.

Having had huskies before, injuries akin to this sometimes spring up from an incorrect harness if they've done any sledding/pull work.

I think my dog has the same injury. It’s a combo of thigh and stomach muscles. It’s just the way dogs are built. The thigh muscle goes from the leg an up along the stomach.

Same thing happened with my dog a couple years back and the vets couldn’t figure it out either. I hope he makes a full recovery!

My dog had the same problem My Beagle was 12 he also loved going outside in the snow but unfortunately he also was hurt looked like the same as your dog I took my dog to vets also an they couldn't find anything so i felt horrible i hated to give him pain meds it took his happiness away he was in pain if he didn't take a pill so it was a no win situation After more tests his doctors said it unfortunately was a nerve pressing in his Neck so we had to do surgery an it was great back to Beau for the next year so he turned 13 an he was loving life Until one night he started Yelping like 2 years ago so unfortunately back to the vet an they said he re injured it again an there will be no more surgery he will not go threw that again so for the next 6 months they told me he will always be in pain because it was Nerve damage an I couldn't bear to have him crying every time he turned his neck an the doctors said sorry but make him as comfortable as I could me an my husband did what we could he had 14 beautiful years with us I I Raised him from birth an he was my Best friend so I no your pain an Im praying for you all an I pray he is doing better an he is laying out in the snow I put my Beau to sleep last May 2023 it was one of the hardest things I ever had to do but I believe hes running an Hunting like crazy having fun crossed the Rainbow Bridge an I will meet him again when God says it time an Beau sister is 8 she Misses him also she is a beautiful Beagle girl ❤ so anyway Im praying for Wylie an I pray for you all Amen!🙏🏻❤🐕❤🐕🙏🏻
