    Thanks for sharing. I really like my cookstove. I purchased 3 of them from Seirra trading post back in 2017 for $23 each. WIsh I had bought them all.

    This would explain why mine was flashing yesterday and I couldn't control the fan speed. I put some charcoal in getting ready for BBQ ( I have the BBQ attachment) and then the flame and fan were both flashing. I never had any issue with the first gen of the biolite stove with a TEG I guess it prove that more electronic is not always better I just hope I didn't damage the TEG might be a future repair. As for the kettle it was a good idea but several product already exist that do exactly that boil water and produce electricity. For 30$ I would buy one as well. Cheers from Canada!!! Let us know how the kettle goes in the winter :). Wait I'll also be camping hmm I'll wait for after I'm done camping then!

      I am about 99% sure you didn't damage it. If so mine would of been toast already. Thanks for watching!

      @@alllateO.T They have so many name going for those that I usually google thermoelectric kettle and use those name that come up to search. Biolite have their own site you can purchase from so it's probably the easiest to find. I would recommend to stay away from cheap brand of those as they might use low temperature peltier and they wont last as long.

    That’s some cool gear...thanks for sharing!are you familiar with Brother and Sister Smoked meats located in Pennsylvania? I can get it here in western Virginia at a store run by some Eastern Europeans. They sell it in their ethnic shop because the meats are done like back home. I really think you’d enjoy it, especially around the fire with a good stoggie. Take care!

    How well does the biolite cookstove do in light wind?

    • @MegaWoodswalker
      @MegaWoodswalker  5 років тому

      All the biolite smaller stoves I have tested do well in the wind however there is one possible downside. If the direction of the wind is pushing the flames to the powerpack aka blue or orange box and the flames are high I worry it could possible melt the plastic however so far it has not happened. Thanks for watching!

      Could you not use the cookstove or the camp stove 2 to boil the kettle? Campstove 2 and that would give double charge I'd imagine 😅

    The price at the time, was a little too expensive for me. I do like the blue one. The discount is a little more reasonable.

    • @MegaWoodswalker
      @MegaWoodswalker  5 років тому +1

      It was also too much for me so was happy to see it discounted. At the time when they went into discount the power supply on my Zip stove shorted out and I didn't have a forced air stove so bought one.
