    Great Video Chef, I was just about to call you and tell you that you need to close the lid to distribute the heat, and two seconds later in the video you did exactly that. :) Looks delicious, we will be trying this recipe out tomorrow evening

    Love your recipes and how simple and easy they are for backpacking or camping Keep these coming!
    The Biolite seems like a neat concept but there is a considerable amount of bulk with that system. I'd absolutely consider that for car camping but probably not backpacking.

    It seems to be a nice piece of equipment. I do not have a real use for it though. The complete kit is affordable. Maybe I´ll a use for it.
    Adding the hot dogs to the mac´n´cheese definitely seems to be worth a try. I never fully understood the use of the box for mac´n´cheese. Making it from fresh ingredients is as fast and the result is much tastier. As a rule of thumb there will be no leftovers from the "not from the box" version.

    Also found out the stove fits in the pot! Saves a lot of space

    I've need the first version for 10 years and love it. Like the French press option for the pot, I don't have that. Used all other attachments on our last camp out and the family liked using it too.

    It makes sense that the top vent would need to be closed to redirect the heat through the grill rather than straight out the top.

      Indeed. Made total sense after testing. Good to see what happened for both scenarios

    Thanks for reviewing the Biolite. This stove has been a "why" in the back of my mind. Price and bulk just didn't make sense. Now seeing you put it through its paces, it really leads to "why?!" Lol. Seems you were making a lot of side notes just to "make it work" now after using, where and who would this be good for? Imo if your in a place to use bio fuel, then your pretty far from a car or park. Therefore, not to practical to backpack with. Also, seems more better options to grill off grid with a foldable fire pit and small grate since your needing bio fuel anyway. Again, thanks for showing this off. And think I'll stick with my camp chef jetboil and the pocket rocket style systems. OR... my Solo Stove Ranger with griddle! 👍

      I hear ya MO. It's a very well made stove system and does have some nice extras that not every stove has. The grill is a "fun to have." As always, it's up to you on what you want to pack. It would be a good option to set it all up at a picnic table at a state park, charge your phone, pop on the light and enjoy the night.

    The hotdogs are a cool add but the Parmesan crisps prove that you are a brilliant chef!!!!

    I see zero chance I’m buying one. Too much faffing for me. I’m keeping the Pocket Rocket 🚀

    Try substituting hotdogs with andouille sausage for a spicy treat. I love the Cavatelli pasta for mac and cheese, just made some a few days ago. Looking forward to your next adventure in cooking.

    What was the dried milk mixed with?

    • @ChefCorso
      @ChefCorso  8 місяців тому

      Hey OB. Nothing was specifically with the dried milk. Garlic powder, salt and parmesan crisps were also added during that time.

    Can you use the biolight inside a house during a emergency like a hurricane

      Um…I would not recommend it. Unless you put it in a safe and active fireplace with chimney
