There aren't any "special" shotgun shells in this game. You can't permanently hurt the T-103 but any weapon is capable of putting him in a time out. Its just a matter of how much you have to dump into him to buy about 30 seconds of freedom. Obviously the handgun requires more ammo than the magnum. Beyond that he's invincible until the battle on the lift in his mutated form. . . Well technically he's still invincible then too if the game doesn't drop the rocket launcher for some reason but I digress.

Yeah, it stuns Mr X for a bit to give you time but he will pull a fast one on you if you're not careful when you are really close to him. He will initially grab or try to if you're careful and throw you.
This is not hardcore bro, in hardcore you go from fine to danger in just 1 hit. There is no caution on hardcore unless you halfway heal or use the red green and blue herb and take a hit
I know the purpose of the video how invulnerable and nerve racking Mr. X is , but you all did are stupid. do not waste any bullet to MR x , bullets are scarce in this game except Assisted mode or got the bonuses for infite ammos or have the mini gun and rocket launcher which is pretty much incapacitate Mr X for 30 secs and easily kill those lickers fast. Make sure all zombies are dead before triggering Mr x (quite hard to do in hardcore) as gunshots or any ruckus will hear it and come to that place and loot everything you can 1st. then board up windows lead him to a safe place if you hear his footsteps in the West side of the bldg, mine is in the dark room and if he go upstairs take the hallway (to get the handle) in records room if he goes to the hallway just lure him back until he takes the stairs. you can peek through the door to know which way he took. after getting the handle from the records room if you dont hear his footsteps go to library through the reception and mainhall just go left out of records room just walk slowly theres a licker in the hallway , if there is footsteps likely its going straight to the records room wait there until he arrives and circle around to escape him go right through the operation room and through the west office again theres a licker in the hallway entering west office room so walk then to the main hall and to library and make the pathway to the clock tower , be wary theres a zombie near the door of clock tower so make it fast to avoid it. it wont follow you inside the clock tower. go back to Jail to get the keycard after that you have 2 routes to choose a bunch of zombies or mr x i would choose the bunch of zombie as long as you have a flash grenade as its the shortest route , the mr x route activate the lever to open up a route mr x will be waiting there can be easily avoided by quick turn technique then deal with some 2-3 zombies .
