Little unsolicited tech crew protip that may help you earn brownie points in the future: if it's an HDMI game console, make sure their audio output is set to Stereo and not 5.1.
@@emeraldaly7646 well if it outputs 5.1 or 7.1 when the mixer hardware is set to receive stereo (all twitch streams are 2 channel) then those extra audio channels will not be output to the mixer and there will be missing audio. such a thing happened on Jaguar King's MGS2 run some number of years ago and I figured out that the problem was the surround sound before Power Up did because I ran into that problem when troubleshooting my own HDMI capture.

Ohh this guy. His RE7 run in gdq a years ago was a pretty big influence to me. It was one of the first few speedruns that captivated me, as well as heightening my interest into horror games, with RE7 being one of my absolute favorites. Amazing job by him here.

Seeing him return to GDQ and absolutely kill it on stage like this is incredible. So glad I got to see this happen live, and so happy for him.

Without this guy and his guides I would have never been able to get the platinum trophy for RE2 and RE3. Gonna watch this now and cheer for this guy even tho I know that he has done it allready.

Sincerely one of the most enjoyable speedrun I have seen in AGDQ. The Mr.X part was amazing. I'm very glad to see AGDQ again in live with spectators, it makes so authentic and fun for the speedrunner, the public and the viewers.
my favourite run this GDQ i've watched so far, because no hit runs are as big as the traditional speedrun format and the added tension it brings ! More non traditional categories of well known games next year would be awesome (OOT, SMetroid ect. )

Having run this multiple times myself (with your guide help!), I forgot how anxiety inducing a close call when a zombie/mr x is about to grab/punch you can be. Great run Carci!
When you have a pro speedrunner as tensed up as Carci was, you know this ain't an easy feat to complete. I felt like getting up my seat, jumping and screaming too when the run ended!
Wow Im amazed how this game works and for those veteran speed runners for this game, even they still encounter unfamiliar scenarios after hours and hours playing this

I haven't watched a whole speedrun attempt in quite some time but this one is an exemption. I truly enjoyed this run. You can really feel the tension and pressure of not wanting to fail and that made the run more edge-of-your-seat entertaining. Kudos to Carcinogen and team!
