I have this mouse, I tried convincing my aunt that it was worth it because she complained about having to replace the batteries in her mouse. I love that it’s rechargeable and the battery lasts a long time. But when I told her it was $100 she said never mind lol
🤣 You know the Logitech mouses are pretty neat. Until I switched to MX Master I was using M325 which I bought for $15 Canadian on Black Friday and you will pretty much forget that it runs on battery. I good alkaline battery easily lasts for 2 years.
I just recently bought the MX Master 3 a few weeks ago for personal use, and even though I don't use all of the features, I love it for a few reasons: 1) it is easily the most comfortable and ergonomic mouse I've ever used, and so good for my hands which get sore really easily, b) the USB-C charging is compatible with all of my charging hardware, and c) how well it glides across any surface or mousepad I use is so good. The productivity features are amazing, but they weren't what pushed me to get the mouse in the first place, they were just a bonus.
I bought this mouse too, and it's amazing. I bought it together with MX Keys. It's the perfect combo. I bought the grey one, but returned it for the black one, because on internet people said that this grey one will get dirty and lose color in time. At least on the black one you can't see this decoloring.
I have the same setup: MX Keys + MX Master 3. Can't believe I spent $200 for a keyboard and mouse, but after using them, I will NEVER go back to using cheap keyboard and mice again (which is what I'd always use before).
internet people lol, are absolutely right. I have the light grey one and it looks disgusting. Last week i bought a used black one and took the black top off of it and put it onto my grey/silver bottom. Now I don't have to worry about a dirty mouse, and i have a backup incase this one breaks.
@@thebasketballhistorian3291 same. I almost bought the MX Mechanical keyboard but talked myself out of it and just bought the regular MX Keys. I couldn't justify spending $160 on a keyboard after i had just spent $100 on a mouse.
I am a lefty. I use a mouse with my right hand. Same goes for scissors. Some things, it's just easier to adapt to the world all you wrong handed people created, rather than try to find the few lefty options out there.
My friend is the same, and he plays FPS game perfectly too. Although I'm right handed, I've learned to use my mouse with the left hand too because I often hold a Wacom pen in my right hand to do photo retouching.
I purchased a Logitech Performance MX in 2009 when it was first released it is still going strong today. It's the predecessor to the MX master. I'm not using it on a daily basis anymore, but it's still in perfect condition after many thousands of hours of use. I only had to replace one button switch inside the mouse over the cause of 15 years. I still have a brand new In box that I also bought back in 2009 that I never opened because I always purchase a spare as i do with many product i love.
I love this mouse for its ergonomic shape and its bluetooth function. However, as a hotkey person, I rarely use more than the left, right buttons and the scroll wheel. My wife has small hands and doesn't feel this mouse comfortable.
I have the MX Master 3, and I absolutely love it! I will say though, that at first I had to get used to the design because I felt like it cramped my pinky and my ring finger....I even thought about returning it the first week lol. I got used to it though and now it feels great in my hand. I also love the battery life, I bought it almost a year ago and I think I've only had to charge it twice!
This is worth every buck. I replaced my new magic trackpad with the mx master 3. The amount of functionalities you have on this thing makes my life so much easier. The mouse gestures combined with the button you are pressing works extremely well! A magic mouse 2 or the magic trackpad really doesn't come close to this mouse
I have issues with my right hand, so bought the MX Ergo trackball mouse. I don't think I could go back to a regular mouse now after feeling the benefits of using a trackball, but I wouldn't be against trying other brands in the future, especially if Logitech takes too long in releasing an updated version.
Bought one last year for work, best purchase yet As a left handed person I prefer using the mouse with my right hand and still be able to take notes with my left, or more realistically, east and use mouse at the same time :)
Thank you for reviewing this. I just recently subscribe because of your tablet reviews, I admire how you evaluate every detail in every tech product you review.
You can use the button behind the scroll wheel to switch between free and precision scrolling like you said, but you can also just flick the scroll wheel to let it spin freely.
If you got no problem with the micro usb charge port (You'll be charging it like 4 times a year max) get the 2s. I got that one at $60 and I plan to do the same with this one.
I have the 2s and love it. I have larger hands and enjoy the ergonomic comfort. Honestly, I would buy the 2s to save money over the 3 even if I didn't plan on using the short cuts.
the only issue is I no longer have a micro usb cable. Even tho I rarely charge my mouse, its nice to have piece of mind knowing I can. I use normal usb for my phone, laptop, camera and mouse.
I've had mine for about 6months and there's some pros and cons. Pros is the buttery smooth gliding, but that is probably because I have a glass mouse pad, also I love how ergonomic it is, and the weight of the mouse is perfect. i like a heavy mouse. Two major cons for me is the color I got, light grey, it's a dirt and stain magnet. Just Last week i actually bought a regular MX Master 3 (I have the 3S) and I took both mice apart and put the black top shell from the 3 onto my 3S so now i don't have to worry about a dingy looking mouse. Another huge issue I had was connectivity. My 3S came with a Bolt receiver instead of the regular unifying receiver and I was constantly having issues with the mouse being laggy and the side scroll wheel which i use for system volume, not working. I now have the mouse connected via bluetooth and haven't had any problems.
I bought the one for PC/Mac. Works fine between my MBP 16, my Dell Company laptop & my iPad Pro but it lags after few months of use on my MBP 16. Had to buy Magic Mouse because of this issue. The flow thingy doesn’t work on my company laptop. But I really love this mouse. Thinking of buying the one for Mac 🤔
Dope Review Thao! My friend Charlie has this, and I've heard that it's awesome, with the Logitech software and the whole ergonomics of the mouse generally. I also never knew you edited in Resolve(2:24) finally someone not using premier! The Shortcuts are my favorite part of the mouse too, Amazing video:)
I have this mouth and thoroughly appreciate it! Like you said, especially for content creation. Having different profiles for Lightroom, Photoshop, and Illustrator is wonderful. This mouse in Premiere Pro is amazing! haha I can go on and on. While it is for sure expensive for a mouse, it works wonders! It's funny my only complaint about this mouse is the same as yours, lack of a left hand option altogether sucks for those who need it.
For years I couldn't use any other mouse than my Microsoft Wireless 5000. It was just perfect. Nothing else worked as well for me, and had all the buttons programmable. I liked it so much I bought every one of them I could get my hands on. You can't even find them now. (At least not for the $18 I paid!) Recently I switched to a Logitech M720 and I really like it. It's finally replaced the 5000. M720 is similar shape to the MX Master mice... but I really want to try the Master 3. Your video may have just convinced me. Never thought I'd even consider a $100 mouse, but this may be well worth it! My hand is on a mouse for 8 hours a day and more editing video- so it's important to me to have the best for my needs.
I owned an MX Master every since it was introduced. I absolutely love the mouse. When my MXM broke, I made the mistake buying the MX Anywhere. After using it for one week, I gave it to a friend and bought the MXM2S. I have small hands, and the MXM is a large mouse. But the Anywhere gave me cramps in my hand, I was so used to a big mouse now. The 2S still works, so no need to buy the 3S.... yet! Because my next mouse will certainly be another MX Master. Whatever type there is when my 2S brakes down. Maybe the 4S :) And the price. It is absolutely worth it, this is just the best mouse on the market.
I like the idea of going from device to device, reminds me of Universal Control coming soon to macOS. Hopefully with it being inbuilt to the OS, it won't have it's frustrating moments when the mouse would go from one screen to the next but then refuse to go back to the original screen. It would also be cool to have the Samsung + Windows partnership come into play here if you have a Tab S7 and a Windows desktop. Great video as always!
Do left handers have trouble using a mouse with their right hand? I'm right handed but that doesn't mean my left hand is useless. There are plenty things that I've had to adapt to using my left hand throughout life. Even using a mouse when my right hand was injured and it wasn't that hard. Writing (or serving a volleyball) is probably one of the few things my left hand can't do well. But if I needed to I bet I can master it with practice.
Great video Thao! Do u know of another mouse in between the size of the master and the anywhere... Which also used the same unify dongle? I want a 2nd mouse for my day bag, so ordered the anywhere 3... And it's disappointingly super tiny. Will send it back.
Can't believe I spent $100 on a mouse.. but I got a $100 amazon gift card and knew instantly what I was going to blow it on! So far loving this thing. The flow feature works flawlessly for me, but I use it with the CTRL modifier which never seems to miss. Also keeps me from accidentally invoking it. Switches between my 27" iMac and Samsung 360 laptop perfectly. I love everything about this mouse but the only thing that's gonna take a lot of getting used to is the dedicated side scroll button, as opposed to just leaning on my scroll wheel. So far find myself leaning on the scroll wheel as I've been used to for decades... now I have to re-train myself to use the side scroll. The gesture button is a whole new level of interaction from a mouse!
Thao - I've paired my Logi MX Master 3 with Logi's Ergo K860 wireless keyboard. Beside a great ergonomic shape, it allows you to pair it to three devices at the same time. This allows you to change the mouse and the keyboard from device to device. Love your videos! Keep the goodness coming!
Currently have a G604 that let me switch between BT on my Android tablet and the 2.4ghz dongle for my laptop via the button on top of the mouse. Not a fan of the rubberized mid-palm area since it might get sticky as it degrades over time, do I prefer hard plastic without any coatings. IMO your device switch should be on the top, below the scroll toggle so people don't have to lift the mouse. Been awhile since I had any sort of jog or scroll wheel on the thumb area, only mouse I had that had it was the Revolution MX more than a decade ago.
Great review. I have the exact same one (Mid Grey) that I use with my MacBook Pro, Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and Samsung Galaxy S9. This is a high quality mouse that is comfortable to use.
Greetings, Is the master 3 compatible with Logitech setting I have got for a master 2 mouse? Or one shall to reconfigure the setting once upgrading from master 2 to master 3 mouse? Thanks in advance for a word if any.
Sis i loved every single of your videos... And thus one is no different ❤️❤️They are so nice and the best is it's getting better and better... All there with you so go ahead ❤️
I've almost got all the diff versions of MX Anywhere myself. I prefer it due to being smaller, lighter and in design I use mostly my fingers to move the mouse in tiny rapid movements rather than resting my whole hand. I find that is the most effective way to do repetitive CADD drafting / design. Less movement. Mostly flicking. High DPI helps a lot in my line of work. I wish they would release a special edition making it super-light and low latency to also cater to casual gamers who also work on their laptops like me. PS Shoutout to Logitech for changing the scroll wheel to full metal. Much less tacky and gross to use. 3S Graphite is just slow to arrive here in the Philippines. I'm really impatient already.
I have also used MX Master 1,2 and 3. Been using 3 for a year or now. But I actually just left it last week after I changed out my 100 hz monitor to a 180 hz Acer monitor. All of a sudden I notice how BAD the wireless mouse transmission rate is. When moving things across my desktop, it looked like I still was on a 60hz screen and not 180 super smooth. At first I thought it was something wrong with my PC or GPU. I then connected a shitty wired mouse and BOOM super smooth moving windows, folders, icons, and other stuff on the desktop. Sorry Logitech, not going back to Master 3 untill transmissionrate is next level lightningfast.
Yeah it’s a real shame. It’s literally the only thing holding me back from getting one since I believe the highest polling rate the mouse can reach is something like 120hz, which makes it not a good option for monitors that run at a higher refresh rate than that
Hi beauty, I have one important question about this mouse related topic, I am so confuse these days which mouse to buy as I am UI/UX designer, could you recommend me which one is the right option to get it as I use only apple's Mac machines , so MX master 3 for Mac or Apple's magic mouse 2 so which one ? Guys 😜👨💻 or magic trackpad 2 ?
Hey Thao, I bought it in april and i'm loving it so much. really helpful when editing videos. what is the model of your keyboard ? thinking about getting mx keys or keychron wireless.
Thank you for your video. So helpful! I'm considering purchasing this for my video editing needs. Do you know if this will allow me to do side scrolling on Premiere Elements (not Pro)?
Mx master 3 has a scroll wheel inconsistancy problem and hasnt been fixed since launch. Had one and returned it cause the scroll wheel was worse than my 8$ mouse I used to have.
I have this and use it in conjunction with the MX Keys. If you do any type of extensive computer work, esp if you switch between work and home computers, I could not recommend this more. Developers.. must buy
I've tried to use the MX master but its shape is just wrong for me. I like to use just my fingertips to move the mouse around really quickly. I do CAD design for work and lots of quick accurate movements are needed. The MX master is too big and too heavy for my kind of work. It's really for users who like to rest their whole palm on the mouse and use their whole hand to move it. That's a very slow way to move a mouse, relatively speaking, so I'm not sure how this is a "productivity mouse" unless you like to work S-L-O-W-L-Y.
Cleaning. Something we sometimes forget about before buying a gadget. I just spent 30 minutes cleaning my G502 Hero. Why do mice end up with dirt I’ve never seen anywhere else in the Universe? 🙂
just got a mx 3s cos its cheaper than a mx3. for now, all the different functions are so confusing for me. windows, excel, word..all have their own designated functions. so far the zoom in and out and fast scrolling are the 2 main things that i really enjoy. customed functions wise...just cant remember what i custom them to be. also, the flat hidden thumb button also isn't tactile enough to really know if you are pressing it. overall, since already bought it. i will keep using it. cos the palm rest really nicely on the mouse. i have big hands, those smallish mouse are just too tiring to use for a long time.
Hey, I have that mouse.lol. It is SUPER highly rated, but I ended up using my MX Ergo instead. Missy of the features except I don't have to move the mouse around because the Ergo odds a trackball mouse. I like just putting my mouse on my knee and flowing from my aurora 9 to my M17 seamlessly.
I have the previous version, MX Master 2S because it was on a big sale on Black Friday. I’d love to get the next one but it’s just too pricey. But love the whole line! I have the MX Keys for Mac as well, and the best part is being able to switch between different devices for both of them and not needing to use the USB transmitter if you don’t want to, and just using regular bluetooth.
I tried this mouse and took it back. It has a large hump a but too far back for me and the right side tapers too quickly off the edge to the right. I always had two fingers dragging on the mouse pad. (BTW, you rock!)

Sis i loved every single of your videos... And thus one is no different ❤️❤️They are so nice and the best is it's getting better and better... All there with you so go ahead ❤️
Hi Thao! Were you able to use the mouse with the Samsung s7? or generically, any android tablet?
Yup, use it on my Tab all the time
@@thao ty!!!!!
It’s literally the only thing holding me back from getting one since I believe the highest polling rate the mouse can reach is something like 120hz, which makes it not a good option for monitors that run at a higher refresh rate than that
You can use it wired
That is not happening. Faster transmission means more battery drain. Ever wondered why gaming mice do not have great battery life, pooling rate.
Can you please review the best mouse for people with carpal tunnel syndrome?
Hi beauty, I have one important question about this mouse related topic, I am so confuse these days which mouse to buy as I am UI/UX designer, could you recommend me which one is the right option to get it as I use only apple's Mac machines , so MX master 3 for Mac or Apple's magic mouse 2 so which one ? Guys 😜👨💻 or magic trackpad 2 ?
Next check out the master keys keyboard. I love that keyboard, and so does my 2 year old daughter 😫
Where did you get the keyboard for your mac mini?
can you assign, say, undo and redo to the side scroll? So if I scroll down, it's undo, and scroll up is redo? @thao
i just ordered this via my company. Can't wait to get it.
I don't use a computer but this video is awesome 👏😎👌thank you Thao 👍❤🤗😃🙏
?Did you get the regular one that isnt "For Mac"?
great review! I highly recommend the G602/604 though. It's the best mouse ever.
just got a mx 3s cos its cheaper than a mx3. for now, all the different functions are so confusing for me. windows, excel, word..all have their own designated functions. so far the zoom in and out and fast scrolling are the 2 main things that i really enjoy. customed functions wise...just cant remember what i custom them to be. also, the flat hidden thumb button also isn't tactile enough to really know if you are pressing it. overall, since already bought it. i will keep using it. cos the palm rest really nicely on the mouse. i have big hands, those smallish mouse are just too tiring to use for a long time.
that is the best looking mouse pad ive ever seen! where did u get it?
Would you say it fits good to people (read women) with small hands? :) I feel like most mouses are a bit big for my tiny hands.
I have the 2s and it's been great. Solid purchase
which mic are you using in this video?
Amazing video 🔥🔥👍
The bug where you can only go one way and not the other using flow is fixed if you use the options+ app
4:31 yeah it's true i too own mx master 2s even tho i keep my desk so clean the dust fills in
Thanks for the video!
Great review I recently bought one and I love it for my daily workflow.
Best mouse ever. For me, it's a life changer. For video editing, increase so much my productivity
I have this mouse, and it rocks. I use it seamlessly between my Mac and my work PC through Bluetooth.
Hi Thảo, I just bought this one and LOVE it!
This mouse works flawless with windows but I find it a little buggy with my Mac.
Great insight 💯 was planning to get an upgrade from my old MX 2. I see you using Affinity and DaVinci 🔥.
I wonder if it would work if you went to the other side of your mac setup.
Love ur vids
Yes I am getting one soon. Thanks Thao.
I tried this mouse and took it back. It has a large hump a but too far back for me and the right side tapers too quickly off the edge to the right. I always had two fingers dragging on the mouse pad. (BTW, you rock!)
Hi, I do not feel any click to the geature button, is that normal?
