This is amazing, but even more amazing is Carl Brunet & FuelTech sets a 5.82 at 242 mph world record match to this with a 4-cyl Ecotec (stock block & heads, from a 2004 Cobalt) & still running a distrubutor with a single coil!

This could easily have been 5.60 or a little less if he didn't let off the throttle to correct the car as he launched off the line. Real dragster territory this GTR is in. I'd love to know how much horsepower that engine was putting out leading up to that run. Even though she was a little hurt after that run she still sounds good!🔥🔥🔥

Technically.. it was alot closer to the 5s mark!! Reason i say that, because of his spin up and it jolted to the side, if it was a straight line launch no jolting or spinups, would have been nearer to 5s.. even still though, id like to be in there on launch and see how it feels.

@@LuisMedina-rc7pc you are both wrong , Odoms car has the original body , but has a blown v8. This car is a pro mod camaro chassis with a ( shit looking ) gtr sticker on the front . The true fastest gtr in the world is the ETS r35 , it’s stock roof and quarters and has the original r35 engine .

Rotaries JZs & RBs have been in the mid 5 territory lomg negore the coyote was around with less motor & continue to get faster along with the K series recently. Your point?

@@reneban5958 just about at 6.08 & that was close to 4 years ago now. JZs have been in the mid 5s consistently as well. Gtrs, dsms, evos & a few others are making there way deeper into the 7s along with Hondas and little ass ecotec motors. As a matter of facts the JZ has gone 6.70/6.80s rowing gears with grannas racing & held and still holds the fastest stock shift car record with a insane trap to back it up & that’s only the beginning. With grub worm & a few others close behind
