Daisy .22 and .177 Hollow Points that are now made in Spain and are the base pellet for the Gamo Red Fire which are both made under the same roof in the same dies. Daisy and Gamo are now one company which is cool if you don’t want to pay $8 for 125 red Fire pellets because the Daisy .22s are $7 for 500 on Amazon and yes they do like speeds of 750 and up to 920 for expansion and accuracy. I have fired them at 1060 and they just fragment after they expand. The Crow mags expand well but in all of my guns are not as accurate as their brothers call the Barracuda Hunter. They expand equally as crow mags but for the money I will stick with my Daisy’s. That said if I need to shoot past 50 yards I will shoot the Hunters for the weight and energy and a higher ballistic coefficients. Thanks for the video wait till you see the Daisy HP. You will see what I mean.
Thanks for that info- helpful- i use the hunter extreme barracudas, and have had soem fragment as well @ around 900 or so FPS- they are super accurate though out to at least 70 yards- haven't tried them further yet.
great video. i just picked up 800 crow magnums for my gamo magnum. cant wait to shoot them. update. yeah crow magnums are t.s.! they fly as accurately as field target trophy, and hit oh so hard.
For us break barrel guys running about 700 FPS do those gammo red fires perform well out to about 35 yards? I don’t wanna waste money on pellets that are going to do basically the same thing any other pallet will do with no expansion.
What gun did you use and what was the recorded velocity for each of these pellets. I understand this video is almost 2 years old. FYI...ANY PELLET, even a ROUND LEAD BALL will expand when shot into clay if the velocity is high enough.
I certainly don’t claim to be a ballistics expert, but I’ve always read that clay only shows the temporary wound cavity. I just have a hard time believing that you could get that kind of permanent wound channel with .22 pellets.
They don't. But it gives a good idea of the shock they give into the target. I shoot rats with predator polymags mostly. And the shock just drops them on the spot. If i shoot them with a regular domed pellet they are dead as well but It leaves less room for "errors". Missing the kill zone slightly with a hollowpoint pellet still drops them right on the spot
I have been shooting either the H&N Crow Magnums or the H&N Baracuda hunters both 18.21gr. & hollow points, one or the other can be found on Amazon for $6.39 A tin and I just bought 1000 (5 tins) of the Crow Magnums and they are quite lethal out of my Gamo Hornet Maxxim .22. I have shot the Gamo red fires out of my Crosman TR-77 .177 and those were very accurate for squirrel hunting
i had H&N Barracuda Hunter Extreme pellets fragment too- on gray squirrel- most do not- but a few have- the shots were about 30-35 yards, with pcp Seneca Eagle Claw .25 @ around 900 fps roughly. The Eagle Claw creates a massive 70 FPE with 33.39 gr pellets exiting the barrel- (A bit less with the lighter hunter extremes, maybe around 60 FPE?) so the pellets are hitting very hard
Another good video man but I don't understand I understand that these are expansion videos to show how they expand but I would actually like to see how well or how accurate they are because it doesn't really make a difference on how well they expand if they don't shoot out of your gun with accuracy if you can't hit anything with them I guess it doesn't matter how much they expand please if you could do a accuracy video on these anthro a predator polymag in there cuz that's my favorite out of all my guns except for the 25 caliber Wildcat the pellet is too long and it will not fit in the magazine
an accuracy video won't do any good since accuracy varies so much between guns, even guns of the same model. Each gun is a world unto itself as far as accuracy goes. The best a reviewer can do as far as that goes is to show which brands are packed best, have the most consistant weights, and least dammaged pellets. Punching paper only shows how accurate they are with the reviewer's gun. A reviewer can show wound channel, and how expansion works for a given pellet brand and style at different energies - all useful stuff. That pretty much is what has been done here. This was a good video.
I now have a ballistic gel vid out and Well at first each gun with shoot them differently so , if my gun shoots them accurately it doesn’t matter if cause maybe your gun doesn’t. Or vice Versa . It was just a fun video
Perform penetration tests from a distance of 30 meters. The weapon must have energy at least 25 J. Otherwise these tests make no sense. Heavy shot retains kinetic energy over a longer distance.
This video was meant to be a simple test , I appreciate your input, and yes my rifle does meet your energy criteria. But this video wasn’t overly serious. Thanks for watching and the ideas

Gamo redfire and Preditor polymags are my favorite pellets in all calibers from 177 to 35 cal .
Yes I like them very much :)

Yes crow’s are one of my all time favorite pellets :)
The best working pellet to date In my magnum as well
Best pellets in my gamo magnum for accuracy
What would you consider "low" and "high" power?
Awsome experiment , very good presintation performance and review on those pellets .
Thank you , new video out now with ballistic gel :)
Using clay is a great idea. At least you don't have to melt it down when it comes time to reuse it.

Cool channel and videos bro. 🤘

High my Gun is a 2250 custom to hpa, at the time was shooting 750-800 fps, watch my new video using ballistic gel instead:)
Awesome comparison !

Thank you!

Nice review man.
Thanks , new vid out today !
"Bloomed out like a Beluga whale" made me laugh
Lol thanks
What rifle did he use?
Custom hpa 2250 .22 cal 24 inch barrel
Enjoyed your video but the video movement made me seasick, haha kidding.
Sorry
