And here is the review I mentioned I'd be doing in the video! www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/reviews/10905-Unearthed-Trail-of-Ibn-Battuta-Episode-One-Gold-Edition-Review-Nathan-Fake
I would genuinely and unironically recommend Bad Rats at 90% off. It provides a good couple of hours of amusement and decent puzzles for basically nothing, plus at that price the trading cards are worth more than what you bought it for!
15:46 the hell was that? He sprinted past the bus, it didn't touch him, then he leaned against the car and started talking about his legs. What did he catch a cramp or something?
The one redeeming quality of this game is that it demonstrates the shallowness of so many 3rd person action games by doing everything that they do but in the worse possible way. It's the "Duty Calls" of 3rd person shooters.
The weird thing is that this does not look like another lazy asset-flip, judging by the (relative) attention to detail and the variety of mechanics it the game uses. It is just that it looks and sounds like a Playstation game from a good 13 years earlier. Edit: 16:57 Jim sums it up perfectly
Oh ... this is going to be fun. Even more fun for masochists like good ol' Jim here who had sex with Alien Colonial Marines (literally). I am sure all our fellow Cum Scorpions will have fun with this. I do hope this game visits the Spunkhara desert!
That Troy Baker who voices this titles main character is the same Troy Baker as the famous one. Someone in the Steam discussions linked the development video where they were talking to the voice cast.
tea leaves do have coffeine, true. however the cofeeine does not get into the water when you drink tea and you actualy drink no coffeine. exception being is if you left the tea leaves in the water for days, they would eventually seep in.
Walking around for 5 minutes while getting talked at, a chase... Thing, a fight....... Thing, and a police chase.......... Thing. All looking like it was made in 2006 and sold off for $5 on Steam. Damn that's good value
The sad truth that 4 years later, while still being a godawful game, this would probably not raise an eyebrow compared to the torrent of drivel coming out of the gutters of steam. At least someone tried - and hilariously failed - to make a decent game.
I actually like the overall premise of the game and Ibn Battuta is an interesting historical figure to say the least. To bad they contracted a game that should follow his historical voyages to a bunch of unity asset using hacks and not a real game developer .
As if this game wasn't creepy enough with those lifeless eyes, now we have terrifying alien arms? God, I nearly threw up at how disturbingly grotesque the character models are.
this video made me realize something, so in the scene where Arab nathan drake is interrogating the thief and the theif gets sniped? why didnt the sniper just take out the player? not just here but most of the other times this cliche has been used
Looked to see what happened to unearthed 2 and nothing but on the UA-cam channel of the creator there is another game called badiya it looks sort of nice it is a survival game and you get a camel it could be named chungus.
This is one of those games where you either laugh at how horrid it is, or you develop a drinking problem trying to forget it exists. That ending alone could cause someone to inflict physical harm upon themselves, just to alleviate the cringing.
LMFAO.. That ending "trailer".. i thought some one had recorded over something from adult swim there... on next all new episode.... Should have been narrated by Peter Cullen :D
So what's the difference between Squirty and Chunky plays at this point? I thought Squirtys were one-offs, and Chunky plays had multiple episodes, but the last two games you've uploaded have confirmed that idea to be false.
I think Chunky Plays start with the idea of the game being played for more than once whereas Squirty Plays start with Jim not knowing if he'll be arsed to continue.
So they're called two different things and it's completely irrelevant? One's guaranteed a minimal of one sequel while the other, who knows? That's not very intuitive.
Jim Sterling Ah, that's kind of unfortunate, as I was really looking forward to seeing you play more Deadly Premonition. But I suppose doing something you don't want to do makes for a poor past-time, and it's that much harder to make entertaining for onlookers. Regardless, I really do hope that you find it in you to play more Deadly Premonition or Bloodrayne for us one of these days. I was really getting into those videos.
What's really weird though is that the developers of this game will be using the Unreal engine next for episode 2 and so on. If they couldn't make a game in Unity I shutter to think what they will do to it in Unreal.
I remember seeing this game a few years ago on the 1up boards when it was just a tech demo. It was panned then, too, but really it's a very amateur game by people with dayjobs, in their country, and might help lay a foundation for development futures there. The next Colonial Marines could end up being made there, and as laughable as that kind of half-assed outsourcing is, it's how most AAA franchises are made nowadays... it's jobs + dreams and might be a positive thing, culturally, for the world's youngest expressive medium to take root there.
"My great great grandfather wrote this book" In the 1300's... thats some strange family of immortals that, 4 generations in 700 years
I like how snipers always go for the to-be snitches instead of just shooting the main character!
And here is the review I mentioned I'd be doing in the video!

I think of myself as a collector of crappy games... and yet, I can't force myself to buy Bad Rats. Even at 90% off...
@23:00 Troy Baker was in this!? Aw man, he was on fire last year, and now he has to voice this tripe?
I would genuinely and unironically recommend Bad Rats at 90% off. It provides a good couple of hours of amusement and decent puzzles for basically nothing, plus at that price the trading cards are worth more than what you bought it for!
I mean, work is work man, especially for voice actors. Who knows, this game could have had a lot of money behind it.
you have a fear of driving? because of the fatality rate of being in a car right?
"Government-issued cat" omg lmao
I'd love to have one.
@@KishorTwist That's the best part
this game claimes to be an episodic adventure on its steam page and came out 3 years ago.... this is still the only episode it released
asszudemi2647 I bet they realised that anyone unfortunate enough to buy episode one wouldn't be tricked twice.
The developers probably went to join the 'holy war' in Syria *ba dum tss*
Am guessing it didnt sell well
19:57 The car wasn't programmed to turn, but luckily it faded out before the car would've crashed into the building.
15:46 the hell was that? He sprinted past the bus, it didn't touch him, then he leaned against the car and started talking about his legs. What did he catch a cramp or something?
wow, the townsfolk look like Thin Men from XCOM in disguise
Government Issued Cats. I laughed a good laugh at that one!
Arkham Cafe? That would make a great title. Sounds like a fun indie or mobile-game.
The one redeeming quality of this game is that it demonstrates the shallowness of so many 3rd person action games by doing everything that they do but in the worse possible way. It's the "Duty Calls" of 3rd person shooters.
I was wondering why I'm not getting any emotions during the last cut-scene, but that guy in the end didn't have any polygons it seems.
23:00 Troy Baker is in this!?!?!
AstraVex Wanna know the best part? IMDB does not even mention that game.
Oh Gawd xD lol
But let''s be fair, Troy Baker is on everything
Siggy Blues on AND in everything. insert 'that's what she said joke,' here.
TROY BAKER?!?!
I saw that too! Confused the fuck out of me and also made me really sad!
lol yeah!
Best shit is that Troys IMDB does not mention this game, which makes me think it's either another Troy Baker, or they're lying.
A whole town of Slendermen! I keep expecting their faces to dissolve away and the true horror exuberance take front and center!
Episodic game where episode 2 _still_ hasn't come out lol..
This is from October 2017 where episode 2 STILL has not come out (at least on Steam).
So, like all other episodic games that aren't a smash success on episode 1.
Amad Jadallah is just the Middle Eastern "Alan Smithee".
@Juni Post en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Smithee
All right!!! more with the Asylum version of Uncharted!
I like how they ordered drinks then had that cinematic and left. Didn't even get their drinks
so its 3 years later and there is still no sign of episode 2 :D

Is it just me, or is that city he's driving around in looping?
MoffMupp It does just loop. NerdCubed realised that in his video on it. That's also the point he gave up in frustration.
@@alexeverett308 Daniel is the man, I absolutely love watching his old play throughs to this day. You know vinesauce?

Unearthed: All Moroccans speak American, and they pronounce Arabic words and names like REAL Americans.
And the bad guy has an accent lol
American is not a language.
@@MattPuxty American's just think is and it's hilarious.
UNEARTHED is the best Walking Simulator I have ever seen.
This has to be some of Troy Baker's proudest voice acting work.
It also amusingly looks like they used the bonus 'next gen' joke filter in Uncharted 2.
The fact that Troy Baker is in this made me laugh my ass off for some reason.
Troy Baker? Seriously? Who did he piss off to have to be in this game?
Oh ... this is going to be fun. Even more fun for masochists like good ol' Jim here who had sex with Alien Colonial Marines (literally). I am sure all our fellow Cum Scorpions will have fun with this. I do hope this game visits the Spunkhara desert!
Best part of the game. Jims intro speak. Episode two looks amazing though, they sure have pumped up the graphics :D
Technically tea contains more caffeine that coffee (although it depends how you brew both etc)
That trailer in the end was like a CBS travel show XD
14:09 You can hear the shell casing hit the ground xD
It was the gun hand!
Gandalf The White HUhauh Dude that's so true. No way we could hear the casing from the sniper shot. Unless... The cameraman WAS THE SNIPER!
Get the president on the phone...
Gandalf The White sounds like a quentin tarrantino grindhouse trailer to me xD
Once he was a man with a normal hand .. but now he's THE GUNHAND *every letter is drawn with bullet holes*
Watch in 1080p for full experience
23:00 Troy Baker name on the credits of this game.
19:55 Watch him not turn at the corner. Continue the cutscene! I wanna see the crash!!!
Um... Troy Baker was credited in this game. So, now we know.
That Troy Baker who voices this titles main character is the same Troy Baker as the famous one. Someone in the Steam discussions linked the development video where they were talking to the voice cast.
holy moly ... amazing actiongame !
unbelievable ...
The main character's walking animation at the start makes him sort of look like Harley Quinn from Arkham Asylum.
I'm dying to see what sort of trail old Ibn Potato leaves? Is it going to be slimy like a snail?
tea leaves do have coffeine, true. however the cofeeine does not get into the water when you drink tea and you actualy drink no coffeine. exception being is if you left the tea leaves in the water for days, they would eventually seep in.
The world needs more unearthed
The guy with the alien hands... "Silence must fall..." :-P x-DDD
Why is the music so effing awesome?
"Eeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh...." - Jim Sterling, 2014
And why do you own a car if you don't drive?
because otherwise society would condemn him.
How to completel overdo baked ambient occlusion: the game.
That kitty dialogue is worth the price of the game alone, terrible graphics and gameplay is just a bonus
- I made a copy of the diaries!- -Did yiu read them?- Nah, I just wrote about my feelings in there.
It's a movie tie-in game. What a twist!
22:39 Ah good, at least this game had some good "Envrionment Art" Fuck me..
Tara Platt and Troy Baker... dayum... that was a bit of a slip-up then.
Walking around for 5 minutes while getting talked at, a chase... Thing, a fight....... Thing, and a police chase.......... Thing. All looking like it was made in 2006 and sold off for $5 on Steam. Damn that's good value
Anybody else notice Troy Baker's name in the credits?
The zombies are in the hoard mode or multiplayer. The tacked on horde mode of course.
6:00 are those Chinese/Asian-origin symbols on the kids shirt? Wot?

holy shit, how is it I only now found out there was a sequel video?
There's "Zombie Sound Effects" in the credits... But where? There were no zombies in the game...?

tea actually has more caffeine in it - its just not all of it is infused with the water. You take the teabag out whilst coffee is a soluble.
this video made me realize something, so in the scene where Arab nathan drake is interrogating the thief and the theif gets sniped? why didnt the sniper just take out the player? not just here but most of the other times this cliche has been used
This game was made on an old version of Unity, Jim. And it'll switch engines to Unreal for Episode 2.
It's weird how good the music is considering the quality of the rest of the game. That credit song da bomb.
The cat noises at around 4:10 freaked my cats out.
When I hear Arkham Cafe, I imagine a Diner Dash ripoff with Batman and Robin serving up food and the clientele are all the Arkham inmates.
Still waiting for episode 2...

No he wasnt it was Jeff Rosik as the lead dude
Come on, give it a break. Its the first Saudi Arabian game. We'll get there.
Nope, not a chance in tits.
maybe should of released it for free once they had learned to code and worked out all the bugs then charged for it

yes

"Envrioment". They f*** up the credits too.
