You know you are in a food desert when someone suggests Dominoes as the best restaurant in town ! However having a humble meal of Chi and pastry offered by a stranger would be a culinary highlight. Another enjoyable episode and remember it's not a perfect trip to Oman unless you get a little Camel shit in your shoes! Many Blessings.
😂😂😂 I love the expression food desert. My guess is though that there are just not many pizzerias at all in oman outside of muscat (I didn’t see any before), so I guess this one is considered as something special - even though all the other food probably would have been 100 times better!

And: I actually enjoyed it more than I would have thought after having had basically only rice since weeks. 😍

Unfortunately not - I was looking and asking around if there was a camel race somewhere near by, but it would have meant waiting for a few days and I didn’t have time anymore due to my flight back. But I would love to go to one!

Good evening. Bloody UA-cam. Normally it gives me a warning when your new video appears but it didn’t the last few weeks. I was busy and I simply forgot without the notification. Nice wadi. I too wear long thermal underwear under my motorcycle suit, even in summer. Much cooler. A camel, the ship of the desert, being transported in a pickup truck 😄 I always have a flashlight with me when on holiday, just to find my way in an unfamiliar room.
I unfortunately didn’t have time anymore - but if I was you I would go to wadi Shab. I think it’s more of an adventure because I heard you need to hike in there for at least 45 minutes - and it’s supposed to be absolutely beautiful then. So I think it’s more a dayfilling activity because you have the hike as well than wadi bani Khalid (if it’s so hot though maybe choose wadi bani Khalid - I don’t know how nice hiking is in these temperatures 😅)
