I was also under the impression that Brian Irons was trying to taxidermy the mayor's daughter. The way he talks about her and his extensive experience with taxidermy suggests it.
As to the Dead Villager in Resident Evil 4, this is my theory: The woman belonged to a minority of villagers who refused to be injected with Las Plagas. These people were after a time hunted by the infected ones, either to be forcibly inducted or killed, in order to make sure nobody could leave the village and inform the outside world of Los Illuminados activities. This woman in particular wanted to escape with her child, who were last one in the villages that hadn't died from either infection or getting killed by an infected villager. With the two being the last unaffected villagers left after a failed assassination attempt on the chief, they attempted to leave the village. While they evaded capture for some time, they were eventually cornered by Bitores Mendez, who impaled the mother through the head with her own pitch fork (which would explain why she is hanging so high up on the wall, given Mendez unusual height). However, the child managed to escape into the great, surrounding forests, eventually coming across Leon and two spanish cops from the beginning of the game; it is in fact the child who spies on them for a bit. However, the child did not try and approach or warn them, because of a deepseated mistrust of outsiders that were common among the villagers way before Saddler and his followers showed up.
Irons wanted to preserve the girl, not dissect her. There were journal entries in the Chief's office where he described how he was bored of killing animals and you can see his prized kills preserved and stuffed around his office. Some of the theories in this video can easily be debunked by the readable and environmental clues in the games.

Man , I was really hoping that body with the knifes stuck in it from the original re2 would be here. The one you see in the background ( or foreground) in the beginning city part, right before you get on the bus.
This is why I love your content. You talk about things no one else is talking about! I was always so interested in the mini mysteries throughout these games. Awesome vid!
A file in the game explains that several villagers got infected from breathing in the spores of plaga they dug up in the mines despite them looking like fossils. Now that's probably not how they normally infect hosts but was probably a desperate means of doing so when on the verge of death.
A couple of other theories for the dead villager in RE4 is that she was killed by Luis or Ada or one of the police from the beginning. The one on the pole burning in the village may have killed her trying to get away.
So, your take on Brian Irons and the Mayors daughter is off, by a lot. There's a diary / journal of his, that you can only get as Claire that details his lust for the Mayor's daughter and how she was the thing he coveted most. She gets bitten in the waist by a Zombie (per OG Re2), and Brian finds her and taxidermies her. Those animal trophies on the wall? His own taxidermy creations. He mentions in the journal that she will become his most treasured part of his collection, and in the OG journal he adds "frozen in whatever position I choose". All those chemicals you see are combinations of formaldehyde and others needed to taxidermy a corpse.
Sick video man, thanks for putting the time and effort into keeping this series interesting. I really hope give more lore in the RE4 remake about how those plaga experiments worked, or how the village transitioned into a cult. The fact that the plaga is suspended and essentially petrified in midair is curious since it looks like the last type of headshot plaga that can attack you.
20:57 not dissect... Taxidermy :) 🤢 there's a journal you find in the chief's office with notes on a number of taxidermy projects, the final entry is "Pig. 22 years old, 5'4" this specimen's body is soft, sweet, and white all over. And it's mine forever."

The victim of Brian Irons, well he alludes to getting to 'have her', trying to play the heroic police chief and protecting her, but she ends up rejecting his advances, then fighting him, at some point he killed her, in the original he says that he had to kill her for some reason, if you find all the stuff on him he admits she's to become his greatest creation and if the outbreak hadn't occurred he'd have more time to better preserve her. He's just insane, and ridiculously narcissistic.
This video is amazing. Resident Evil is currently my favorite video game story and gameplay by far. I never really thought of any of this, it really makes the game waaaaaay more interesting. And I must say, RE 7 is the scariest for me. I first watched the gameplay and I don't remember anything scaring me like that. When I played it, dang I just couldn't keep going. The first RE game I played was Resident Evil Revelations 2 and scared me the freak out but RE 7 made a little girl again.
The resident evil novels sheds light on irons victim, she was accidentally shot and passed whilst irons was in a panicked state, he was in the process of preserving her body via taxidermy when you arrive I believe
Good video! The two RE mysteries that I still wonder about are.. 1. In RE: Survivor, in the prison cells there are bodies of captives that appear unscathed. If you interact with them it says it looks like their necks were cut with a sharp object. In the same room are some naked zombies, but they seem disinterested in the intact corpses. I have no clue how they died - Vincent Goldman murdered a slew of captives in the days prior to when the game starts, but that was with a gun as they were trying to escape. 2. RE7 - Where's Oliver's body??? And how/when did that happen? Jack said his family weren't killers...
Well every parent doesn't want to believe that their family has any murderer's in it and they were controlled by Emily, Lucas was able to break free and was able to take advantage of it and was doing killings without Emily knowing.
@@DragonSlicer Ok but it sounded like, in the file, Lucas killed Oliver as a kid. And, again, what happened to the body? Was it found? Was there an investigation??
@@jagtaggart936 Given there's no evidence in game of Oliver ever existing - no mementos claimed by Lucas, no body, no evidence of him being locked up, no mentions anywhere else - it is reasonable to think it was all just a violent fantasy that Lucas wrote. Great Video, many of these had me wondering myself as I played... That headless animal in Resident Evil 5 though, unless dogs have hooves, that's a sheep or goat.
The last death is pretty sad. The mayors daughter is the girlfriend of the guy we find in the jail’s prison that was trying to get us to get him out before being killed. She’s one of the side characters we can play besides Leon and the others. But instead of playing the storyline. We would play hers if she was alive and escapes raccoon city with her boyfriend.
I am sure the deaths on the ship of RE7 are explained in the game, Evelin was being transported with that ship by Mia but she used her powers and killed everyone
The SD Perry novelization of Code: Veronica explains the lore of the infirmary and its brutal as hell. Alfred Ashford gave the infirmary doctor free reign to experiment on the islands prisoners, a clear reference to The Angel of Death, Josef Mengele.
Can we all just say "PRAISE CAPCOM" for them pulling the team that made the RE3 Remake from making the RE4 one? They put the team from Capcom internal that made the RE2 Remake on it instead... 👏🏻
@Farz Wolf Yup. Considering how many eyes are on the project already, I think they made a wise decision to move the project to the team who made the far superior experience.
I like how the background objects tell stories in RE games. Like the dead bodies of the couple wearing blue and pink in the original RE2, I think it's near the spider webs
The RE2 Remake and the original game differ somewhere to the dead woman. In the original Irons insists she'll become a zombie, but when playing as Claire a scream can be heard when in the "helicopter wreckage" corridor. Did Irons shoot her and lie about it to Claire? Would explain the bloody wound on her abdomen.
The infirmary and basement are WW2 references most likely with the anatomist pretty much being a Capcom version of Dr. Mengele, and not to mention the creamtors being a reference as well.
You forgot the fact that in the infirmary in Resident Evil CVX there's a basement full of medieval torture equipment Alfred bought the anatomist to satiate his murderous vices.
the hanging cave body reminds me of the hanged man tarot card, down to the missing leg being similar to the card's crossed leg. the card represents a lack of control and it's probably just me connecting nonexistent dots but if there's a reference there it'd be really interesting!
I've always thought the plagas scene was the island experimenting on how to remove the plagas which if you think about it makes luis an even more horrible person since he was leading the plagas research effort
Another dead body found in Resident Evil 4 is in the castle in the sewers where you first encounter the novistadors. In one of the cells there is the corpse of a man that when examined by Leon, is said that he was alive until just recently and that judging by the wound it was a quick death.
The mayor's daughter was placed under chief irons protection during or at the beginning of the outbreak. At some point she got bit/injured from an infected BOW. In the original RE2(for PS1) it goes into a little more detail. Yea not many people know about her if they only played the remake
The haunted house style of game was a smart play on Capcom’s part. Not only did it fit the definition of “RESIDENT EVIL” but they found a way to make a ghost-type of enemy exist as a Resident Evil monster. For some reason, this didn’t feel as powerful with RE8.
I think the umbrella moto was that you are either become a BOW or you'll be used to feed a successful transformation. at it projects the hidden desire of its victims during the mutagenesis. one is used as a sacrificial goat and one has been killed for mercy.
i remember seeing that chick in four and after really getting into the story i immediately thought, this was probably a woman with a natural resistance or immunity to the plagas
Not a dead body or murder so to speak but I always wanted to know why the bakers had a morgue in their basement. Like we’re they fucked up before eveline came along or did they just have animal corpses down there. I feel like the baker household has more secrets we are yet to uncover and would love to see another game based on the baker family/house

There is a file in the original RE2 called Mail to Chris, regarding Chief Irons is stated quote "had been arrested under suspicion of rape on two separate counts during his years as a university student. He underwent psychiatric evaluation as a result of the charges but was released due to circumstantial evidence as well as his phenomenal academic standing."
I could be way off with my theory about the girl in the wall. I personally haven't played it yet, only seen gameplay but my theory is Dahila maybe had been kept for spare parts or maybe because her blood had antibodies(?). Depending on how long she had been locked away she could have been delayed development wise, like mute or speech issues, possibly more childlike. When I've watched the gameplay, her position always felt heartbreaking. Her outstretched arm like she was reaching for someone, even her expression seemed terrified. You mentioned how they kept her fed, which meant she knew them or a specific person, maybe her only outside contact. So I wonder if the mold had moved onto consuming her from the outside starting at her feet and locking her place. And when this person came and saw what was happening, she reached out scared and needing them. Only to watch them leave. Depressing AF but this game have had a world class record of being depressing.
The re4 plaga extraction was a Easter egg for aliens. A scene where Bishop is going through medical records and tells everyone that someone dies trying to remove the facehugger parasite.
I was also under the impression that Brian Irons was trying to taxidermy the mayor's daughter. The way he talks about her and his extensive experience with taxidermy suggests it.
He was a serial killer but he couldn’t get his hands on her until all hell broke loose. If circumstances were normal he may never have caught her.
He did say he would make her beauty last for ever. So yeah pretty sure taxidermy was the end goal.
He also says in Darkside Chronicles “I was about to stuff her” which further shows he’s into taxidermy

Mine is always going to be Oswell E. Spencer. For me, that was Satan in human form... I mean, Lisa Trevor could tell you more about it.
Ive always wondered if the doctor zombie in CV was turning into a crimson head. He was extra aggressive and strong.
I agree Nacho, I can't keep my eyes off of Revelations Jill either. Love that game.
Can we all agree that a preserved body in a RE game is more unsettling then a corpse.
Great work Nacho
She was thiccer on the 3DS for some reason 👀 3D Wetsuit Jill is lit.. just finished it again on the OLED Switch 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 love Revelations
“A gigantic ship filled with corpses,…this is every youtubers dream.” 🤣 This part got me.
Man , I was really hoping that body with the knifes stuck in it from the original re2 would be here. The one you see in the background ( or foreground) in the beginning city part, right before you get on the bus.
@Kruz McAnally yeah I've always wondered what the hell rhat was all about
One mystery in resident evil nobody ever discussed... *RE4* why did the ganados steal Leon's Jacket?
This is due to Leon’s scent
you kidding me Leon's jacket is pretty spiffy. who wouldnt steal it.
Nice list. I remember being very creeped out by the one in RE4 in the lab table. Looked like something out of the Thing movie
You forgot one thing, two corps in the clock tower in re3 nemesis that was a mercenary and a girl died together.
These are the types of RE vids I love! Cool to see people who are as obsessed in the intriguing little details in Resident Evil as I am.
Thank you, I have been waiting for these ones! I could just listen to you talking for 1 hour straight and it would still be super fun.
Geez, we’ll I’m honored. Thank you :)
@@singleplayernacho I am honored too!:)
Your smiley after saying Taxidermy is the creepiest thing about it.
@@Cetra29 🤣 thank you, I was hoping that would be the effect
Love it! Thank you for giving me sometime interesting before bed. Holy crap, I never paid attention to the details about the anatomist. Scary to think someone like that could exist.
I love your Resident Evil content SinglePlayerNacho, it's why I keep coming back to your very cool channel, you continue to impress me and i look forward to what you do next ✌️
You would understand how Katherine died if you played Ghost survivors: Runaway, chief irons was injecting her a poison.
I know the Ganados of RE 4 were created when they inhaled the plazas spores while mining for Salazar. Luis left a note about it.
Maybe Luis took out that woman villager in the original RE4 before or during his capture
*IDK why an old game having PS2 graphics is a downside* ? I think the poor graphics made the whole thing creepier.. and the nostalgia is amazing.
I played RE4 for the first time this year, and that operation room with the plaga on top of the guy you mentioned, yeah that stuck with me
The resident evil novels sheds light on irons victim, she was accidentally shot and passed whilst irons was in a panicked state, he was in the process of preserving her body via taxidermy when you arrive I believe
Then after he was infected he found he was in a position to act on such impulses and indulged them.
@@jagtaggart936 likely Lucas got rid of it somehow I'm pretty sure that none of the family knew how fucked up Lucas really was
Great Video, many of these had me wondering myself as I played...
9:43 that's not a dog, that's a goat my friend.
Dude Resident Evil Revelations 2 also has a lotta gruesome deaths. Barry’s like whole section revolves around the torturing of the citizens.
10:24 i think these corpses can be found on the treadmill with the furnace in the facility and some of them are alive as well
I like how the background objects tell stories in RE games.
In RE4 with the plagas escaping from the body, it reminds me of the flying necromorphs escaping the body in Dead Space
Nacho I just wanna say your videos are amazing 😎❤️
Thanks bud, you’re too kind 🙂🙌
As for the weird spinal operation guy in RE4, I think they were trying to turn him into a Regenerator/Iron Maiden
The dead Ganados in RE4 always made me curious.
Edit: Also, thank you for showing CV some love. Such an underrated RE game!
10:02 "they will killed and left here to die"~ SinglePlayerNacho 2022
the hanging cave body reminds me of the hanged man tarot card, down to the missing leg being similar to the card's crossed leg. the card represents a lack of control and it's probably just me connecting nonexistent dots but if there's a reference there it'd be really interesting!
As far as the anatomist goes, if he wasn't dead, I'd say that it sounds like Brian Irons.
But Police Chief Irons got literally turned inside out.
I've always thought the plagas scene was the island experimenting on how to remove the plagas which if you think about it makes luis an even more horrible person since he was leading the plagas research effort
Now this is the type of videos I wanna see, thanks!!
+1 for Code Veronica X love too!!
This is awesome - love the lore behind the mysteries
Cut content to 4 just shows that some people weren’t willing to be infected which explains the woman villagers death.
I friggen love your channel man! Keep up the good work.
Great vid Nacho as usual! Keep up the great work! Hope we hear more RE news in the coming months with E3 around the corner.
10:00 "The where killed and left here to die" Marvelous.
RE2 remake actually shows those scientist getting attacked by the plants and RE stopped being RE for me, when it went 1st person.
You forgot the bodybag rustled when you enter the furnace room hinting on what’s waiting for you when you come out.
Nacho Makes His Own Theories Which Are More Creepy And Logical Too 🙂🙃
Another dead body found in Resident Evil 4 is in the castle in the sewers where you first encounter the novistadors. In one of the cells there is the corpse of a man that when examined by Leon, is said that he was alive until just recently and that judging by the wound it was a quick death.
That corpse mural really reminds me of that City of the Dead wall of writhing mass of bodies in that Snoop Dogg movie Bones.
Leon: *finds corpse of a woman impaled in the face with a pitchfork*
Also Leon: Guess there’s no sex discrimination here
Meanwhile we out here waiting on Code Veronica Remake like 👉👈
The mayor's daughter was placed under chief irons protection during or at the beginning of the outbreak. At some point she got bit/injured from an infected BOW. In the original RE2(for PS1) it goes into a little more detail. Yea not many people know about her if they only played the remake
10:35, it looks like that corpse has a hole in its side, meaning the guy was hung there and bled out.
It's amazing that these games have become so old that people don't think they are scary anymore.
Can't wait for RE: Code Veronica to be remade. Loved the game, never got to finish the game.
i remember seeing that chick in four and after really getting into the story i immediately thought, this was probably a woman with a natural resistance or immunity to the plagas
The plaga bed is the scariest re thing too me same goes for that bag in the dumpster later on the re 4 island in that prison.
Another excellent video ! Thanks so much!😎👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
thank you! 🙌
@@singleplayernacho No problem dude!🙂👍👍👍
Not a dead body or murder so to speak but I always wanted to know why the bakers had a morgue in their basement. Like we’re they fucked up before eveline came along or did they just have animal corpses down there. I feel like the baker household has more secrets we are yet to uncover and would love to see another game based on the baker family/house
In re4 she terrified me. Because when i looking around, accidently seen her hanging there
This is amazing!
And a place I can talk about rezzie without annoying anyone
_"This is an older game, so it's kinda hard to get creeped out..."_
If anythin', it's _more_ of a reason to be creeped out, yo! The ancient grimy mixture of brown, yellow, and blood red like that couldn't be pulled off with today's systems!
Taking a journey to that ship in resident evil 7 the abandoned ship coming into view fills you with dread
Yay! Always down for a RE video
6:12 This is a very aggressive way to kill someone.
Sherrif whose face is cut in half by Daddy Baker: Am I a joke to you?
Hi Nachoman! I really would to see a DBD-Wraith full Lore
In re4 the dead bodies of the children are stacked in a cart in the room with blue medallions, later you return and the cart has been emptied
10:02 "they were killed, and left there to die" so dangerous they had to keel em more
