- Hello, this is my tribute to a great movie and a great song. This is my first music video btw :P I hope you enjoy!
Tim Cappello - I Still Believe
Lost Boys Soundtrack
Copyright Warner Bros.
When I was younger I wrote to Tim asking for an autograph. Not only did he take the time to print off a picture directly from his copy of Lost Boys and sign it he went to the post office and posted it to me in the UK himself for free. So when people ask me why I have a framed signed picture of an oiled up, pony tailed muscle man playing the saxophone I simply tell them of the absolute legend that he is and how he will always have my respect and highest regards.
This made my day.
word up!
Also called the sexy sax man I met him a few weeks ago he is a awesome person and took the time with his fans
That is so sweet !
Right on, man.
Never has 1 oiled up individual made such an impact in less than 1 minutes screentime

Who are you talking about? All I see is Jami Gertz 🥰🥰🥰

The people making this soundtrack didn't have to go as hard as they did for this movie but they did. They did it for us.
Perfect comment!!
Legendary
100% this. The 80s they PUT SO MUCH EFFORT into the little things like this. They would get the cast of the film to help make a music video (see Ghostbusters, St Elmos Fire)
I was like 4 when I first watched this movie and sing all these songs word for word. They really did do a good job.
of course they had to go this hard or it wouldn't have been as awesome and memorable. Kinda odd comment.
Still the best teenage vampire flick ever filmed. Fuck all the glittery, angsty, emo pretenders.
One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach; all the damn vampires

There was a certain magic to eighties music that I can’t describe
It was just pure and simple, it had soul, the atmospheric clean sound that music is missing today.
@MusicWizard79 a certain j'n sais cocaine?
Yeah, it was the last era of sax.
100 percent agreed
Pedal bass and gated reverb snare drum.
This scene made Tim Cappello so popular and he is still going strong and playing this same tune. He just played in Chicago.
He is coming back this summer too.
he was the sax player for Tina Turner
Best song on the soundtrack and my fave scene in the film. 🔥💕🤙🏼
ARE U FCKN serious?? how did i miss this, WOW he is still touring this year too... will go see him!
GUNSHIP has hinted they will tour sometime in the near future, so here is hoping he is on board with them for that.
Tim Cappello carved his name in history that day as a Legend.
Papasuke lol

No apologies. No explanation. Just grease 'em up and put it in your face! AWESOME!

The best vampire movie ever period.
The best sound track ever.
Miss the 80's
HELL YEAH!!! When vampires didn't date you, they fn ATE YOU!
I have to partially disagree with you. Definitely my #1 vampire movie and while the soundtrack is in my top 5 of greatest soundtracks of all time, it just doesn't beat "The Crow's" soundtrack. Every song, including the score, not only embodies the movie but the main character of Eric. But again like i said, the music from "The Lost Boys" definitely belongs in the top 5. It's iconic, sexy, and just all around bad ass! 🤟😊🎶
Mate I agree. The whole of the theme of the song n video is second to none.
While not a movie, I found Midnight Mass to be a very very good tale.
Yeah! Screw you Twilight!!!
" my own brother a god damn vampire, wait until i tell mom " haha best line in the movie 👍👍
YES!!!
@FoundationzOfMusik you mean rip haim, feldmens still alive...
“ DEATH BY STEREO “ 💀📻
Mycturn!
Or "the only problem with living in santa Carla, all the goddamn vampires" another great line" if all the dead in santa Carla stood up all at once, we would have one hell of a population problem." So many great lines in that movie. I'm glad I got to see it in the theater.
I never saw people head banging to a saxophone over a bonfire... Until this movie. Man the 80's were *WILDIN!*
Brooooooo, you ain’t lying there but think you see why now, hahahaha

This movie has its own epic feel to it just like The Outsiders. Then this guy nails it with this song on stage, jacked like Thor making that sax scream through nights air finds a place in your soul that's intoxicating.

Damn right! 👍🎶🎶
90s were better
For the longest time after I first saw The Lost Boys, I'd wondered what Tim Capello actually looked like. I thought for sure the guy we saw in the movie must've been someone Joel Schumacher had his casting and wardrobe people create. Things got infinitely more awesome when I learned that he was in fact totally real, and looked exactly like that before he ever appeared in the movie! Dude is a LEGEND!
Saw him playing sax, keys and doing backing vocals on Tina Turner's 1990 British tour. Dude was a multi - talented sweatbox dynamo.
@@MrMmnngghh Agreed. I hear he's a really nice guy, too!

This song makes me feel as if I experienced a life in the 1980s. I could dance to this all night. 💖
Hands down one of the best Vampire films of all time with a kick ass sound track to boot. Bring back the 80’s
Just saw it for the first time half an hour ago...
The second half kinda drags the movie down but it was a decent romp while it lasted...
If in 50 years time, someone asked me “what was the 80’s like?” I would go straight to this video. The look, the voice, the sax, the over the top-ness. It’s all here in one song by Tim Cappello. It’s a great song that is the epitome of the 1980’s.
Just to point out, the excellent *performance* is by Capello, not the song. The song is a cover of the original by Michael Been and The Call, who are from Santa Cruz - the real-world location for the fictional Santa Carla in the film.
@@gradypatterson1948 thanks for the information, but I’m aware it’s being sung by Tim Cappello (The guy in The Lost Boys). Not sure what you think i put.
@@DID_IT_MYSELF - "... song by Tim Cappello" is a bit ambiguous - I just wanted to make sure that it was clear that Tim performed the song - and I wouldn't be shocked if he did the interesting arrangement, too - just that the song itself isn't "written by" Tim, but "performed by" Tim.
@@DID_IT_MYSELF This is the original song and artist ua-cam.com/video/ZF76C2ZEF3k/v-deo.html

I always loved this song after hearing on Lost boys. The sax player was so powerful I was sold on sax playing after that. It sure stired up emotions hearing an watching it again in 2024. Made me want to be young again so bad. I am 74 now.❤
He's also the singer though as a guest appearance.
Back in the day when Lost Boys came out, this song hit me in a profound way, and it's stuck with me ever since. And it wasn't until many years later with the help of the internet that I learned that I was far from the only one.
Hell yeah Matthias. This is one of those timeless classics that resonates with multiple generations

RELIK MOON ohhhhhhh yes
I been in a cave
Forty days
Only a spark
To light my way
I wanna give out
I wanna give in
This is our crime
This is our sin
But I still believe
I still believe
Through the pain
And through the grief
Through the lies
Through the storms
Through the cries
And through the wars
Oh, I still believe
I still believe
Flat on my back
Out at sea
Hopin' these waves
Don't cover me
I'm turned and tossed
Upon the waves
When the darkness comes
I feel the grave
But I still believe
I still believe
Through the cold
And through the heat
Through the rain
And through the tears
Through the crowds
And through the cheers
Oh, I still believe
Oh, I still believe
I'll march this road
I'll climb this hill
Upon my knees
If I have to
I'll take my place
Upon this stage
I'll wait 'til the end of time
For you like everybody else
I'm out on my own
Walking the streets
Look at the faces
That I meet
I feel like I
Like I wanna go home
What do I feel?
What do I know?
But I still believe
Yes, I still believe
Through the shame
And through the grief
Through the heartache
Through the tears
Through the waiting
Through the years
For people like us
In places like this
We need all the hope
We can get
Oh, I still believe
And I still believe
Oh, I still believe
Oh, I still believe
There he is!
Not all Heroes wear capes.

@@JoeBonez "Near Dark" was so great but not many people have seen it. Also there's the batshit crazy that is "Vampire's Kiss" - those three (with Lost Boys) make a great night of vampire movies. If you have a date, I'd throw in "The Hunger" because David Bowie sexy erotic vampire is awesome as is Grace Jones in "Vamp". Honestly the 80's had some pretty epic vampire movies. Enough for a pandemic movie-a-thon.

So iconic. 1 of the best films 2 come out of the 80's!? Fact. Still in my top 10 films ever. Love it with a passion.
Director Joel Schumacher had thought of a prequel showing Kiefer-David's history, how he turned into a vampire after the great San Francisco earthquake of 1906. But then Schumacher got busy with other films. The studios did nothing about it and 20 years later produced some crap straight-to-DVD sequels. Imagine, a whole film based around David and we never got that. But then Kiefer was making 3 films a year by 1989 as well. Busiest actor at age 20-21.
one of the sequels has Kiefer's little brother as a vampire. That particular one wasn't that bad of a sequel.
ah that would've been amazing and no one else could be David. No One.
Would have been amazing.
That would be so amazing. I can't get that idea out of my head.
I get your meaning but Schumacher also did movies like Batman and Robin. So I'm pretty grateful that he didn't actually make that movie, and let Lost Boys remain a classic.

This movie still rocks! 37 yrs old now and watched it yesterday. Still has an amazing vibe to it and the music is amazing. Seriously, this movie still beats about 99% of the movies these days. Not saying there aren't good ones but it's rare to find a movie with an incredible soundtrack and that's fun and doesn't take itself too serious yet still has great acting and an original story.

Agreed..the movies had so much more work put out into them..creatures, monsters were made with quality vs computer crap...a good example was aliens among others..still good today...too much computer generated effects and short cuts nowadays...most the stuff made today is good for a single seating...the 80s movies still have high replay value...same with certain music....what kicked ass back then still does today...most of the movies and music seem watered down today...music has taken a horrible turn...all crap

Totally awesome movie, watched it last night for the first time in 15 years and it's still as great as when I first watched as an 18 year old in 1988 , FUCKIN amazing, all vampire flicks. Since are imposters, and I do still believe
James Mcmurray Seen "Near Dark"? Now that is another good vamp flick.
Yes, I totally agree, Near Dark is very good.
+James Mcmurray Finger lick'n Good!!!!!!!!
Susan Williamsom Love that scene. But the way you wrote that....reminds me of VTMB's Deb of Night and the commercial of FRIGGEN CHICKEN!
"This is cat, right?"
Nope not cat, it's just one of my favorite lines! Not my fault you thought of the stupid commercial!
80's classic for sure! A masterpiece so you better not dare to remake it!
Remember when Coronavirus didn’t exist, Vampires ruling California was pretend , and MTV was awesome? Yeah me too 😎
Nice time
My generation will not know the feelings and now me is sad that I never will
@Pedro Sepulveda I bet you're really fun to be around at parties...
@Pedro Sepulveda I remember when Aids was the scare...the only scare. That or getting worms from not washing my hands after playing with the dogs.....i miss the 80s.
There will never be a better decade!
I still believe, that this is one of the coolest music videos.
Still THE best vampire movie ever made, chessy parts and all. Nothing will ever top that wild 1980's boardwalk at night vibe.
That song is just amazing. The sax, the dancing, the girl dancing and then him looking at her like "god I've just fallen in love". This was one of my deceased partners favourite films and soundtracks and it takes me back to him when I hear these songs. Especially this, he loved it. He'd blast this and 'Cry Little Sister' the most but he loved the whole sound track. And I love it when I'm reminded of him. RIP Danny. This is listened to for you to remember all those memories of dancing together to this.
Special memories. Stay strong kidda
This song blows my mind every time I hear it
This deserves tons more credit than it ever gets

I just heard of this band "Gunship" for the first time last night, "Red Blood Black Kiss" and when I saw Tim playing sax in the rain, The Lost Boys was the first thing I thought of, not knowing, that's TIM! Congrats on Gunship releasing their new album this week.
More films like the Lost Boys and this fabulous music, too!

Thankyou Tim, from an alto to a tenor, much appreciated
Can't explain the satisfaction after listening to this masterpiece. Rocki'n 80's
Born in the 80s is the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Saturday cartoons and super mario was the best
