What you don't realize is all of the fucking horrors that came with the 80s. The present day has it's horrors as well, and it's neither better nor worse than the 80's. You're having nostalgia for 80's pop culture, which i admit is awesome (I was alive in the 80s, and I know of what I speak) and the 80's pop culture rocked, and people, despite the threat of imminent nuclear annihilation, tended to have a pretty upbeat outlook towards the future, etc, but the pop culture wasn't the era.The reason it looks better is because you're looking at that decade through rose tinted glasses. It's only better in your mind, and granted, there's a lot I miss about it, but I'd personally rather, you know, move forward than live in the past forever. Nothing wrong with still consuming 80's and 90's pop culture though, it had some great stuff. All I'm saying is, don't mistake the map for the region. The map looks great, the region isn't as pretty. What I love most is that it a character driven rather than plot driven like most other vampire movies. Other ones are always about grand plans, controlling the world through various means. Name another vampire movie that the goal of the great vampire is to have a family.

The nostalgia this song causes... and I was not born in the 80's! This movie was a massive part of my teenage years in the 00's so that speak to how awesome this is!
I watched this movie four times in total now and the best part is the part that is editing in, in this vid. I always loved how Corey did that part. R.i.p. Corey, no one can hurt you anymore.
Thank you. I thought it was a good cut too, but the original was poor resolution, which is why I recreated it shot for shot with HD. I added the Corey scene as I thought it was the best line in the film.
As a teenager in the 1980s, I worked in a video store, and we had Lost Boys on repeat. I watched it at least a hundred times and never got tired of it.
I remember playing this one summer night, driving with the windows down when I was in my 40's. I can't believe I'm almost 70. I don't mind looking young, as long as I die at a normal age.
yes.. i was just thinking that! that those 80s year were actually real. and now almost 2024 we’re STILL enjoying this amazing footage??? that’s legendary.
I'm in my 50's and I made my adult kids sit and watch this movie with the statement "This was the original teen vampire movie before teen vampire movies were even a thing"...and they loved every minute of it. Even heard my old man whistling along to this back in the day. :)
This is the best vampire movie of the 1980's, besides the original Dracula. This movie has Jason Patrick, Keifer Sutherland, Alex Winter, and Billy Wirth for us who prefer brunettes I just love this song, thanks for doing a tribute to Corey H. RIP Corey. It also has the Frog Brothers there are two sequels best three movies on Halloween. This movie was filmed in Santa Cruz, CA, it is called Santa Clara, CA in the movie, the boardwalk was partially destroyed I hope it is restored. I am glad I drove up Big Sur from Pasadena, CA to Cambria, CA was my favorite Stop, besides, Santa Cruz, CA. All the way up 101 to Florence, OR the summer of 2010. For us who have no family this is a great movie to watch on any holiday, I am alone but now I prefer it that way. Mazzy USA

The 80s and 90s we're the best. So glad I grew in an era when phones, social media didn't exist! When kids were kids, were allowed to grow up without being told they need to be confused about what they. Been going down hill steadily since 2010!

I'm just lying down with a tear rolling down my eye realising that we will never be able to travel back in time and those times will never happend again :, ( ...my wish would definitely go back to the set of the lost boys and sitting down knowing I'm in the 80s and just sneaking inside the studio of where the music was made and watch the people that made the soundtrack creating it...and i would just love walk around the set maybe meeting the cast and seeing them in the vampire makeup...sorry for waffling but it's just something I've always imagined...Best soundtrack ever ❤

Watching in 2021, remembering how lucky me and my twin sister were to enjoy the 80's, especially when The Lost Boys arrived. We already loved horror films with thanks to our late dad who let us watch them from the age of 8. He said, "Watch and you will never fear"... He was so right, and we loved it. 💜🔥😎🌟 The club version of this choon was awesome too, 💜☀️
The best decade in my opinion! For movies and music no other decade comes close. Even the celebrities shined brighter than they do today. They were from another plane of existence…so amazing the talent
I grew up in the darkest, dampest of UK countryside. I remember seeing this film when I was a teen, and wishing so much I lived in one of those California beach resort towns that such films always seemed to be set in. The dry, warm night, beautiful people, and the lights. It was so dark where I lived. Nothing but the stars reflected in the puddles and ditches, and the wind in the oak trees.

What I love most is that it a character driven rather than plot driven like most other vampire movies. Other ones are always about grand plans, controlling the world through various means. Name another vampire movie that the goal of the great vampire is to have a family.
1980's teenager at the time, didn't realize this era was the best. 55 years old and living a true nightmare with all the nonsense, just have to build a time machine.
You'll never grow old, you'll never die. But You Must FEED.!!

Few vampires as hot as Kiefer Sutherland in this movie. Still one of my favorite vampire movies ever ❤️
I agree! He was so hot in this movie! He is an extraordinarily good actor and his evil eye look are so good in this film.
He was def the hottest vampire in vampire history

No kidding I'd stay in that decade for the rest of my life if I had my way. We actually had a childhood that ruled!
@@aprilmoon6794 Yessssss!!!!!
It was awesome. Way better than today for sure. Now i'm just waiting for the space rock, cos the species is now devolving so rapidly. Glad my father didn't live long enough so see the shit going on in today's world.
Fantastic 10 Stars..... One of my favorite 80 movies of all time!
I always loved this song, it just hit you in a way once it came on during the movie.
A couple of other great songs "I still believe" by Tim Cappello and the hidden gem "Beauty has her way" by Mummy Calls.
Oh yeah the fog just made it mystical
The nostalgia this song causes... and I was not born in the 80's! This movie was a massive part of my teenage years in the 00's so that speak to how awesome this is!
I AM ONE OF THE LOST BOYS
DRUG SEX AN ROCK N. ROLL
PARTY OUT LOUD BABY
Still one of the best rock soundtracks ever.
Only 4? I do that least a year =p
I just wish Hollywood would pay for what they have done to children.
I still believe

Can't get enough of this song!!!!!! The greatest era ever, great movie
As a teenager in the 1980s, I worked in a video store, and we had Lost Boys on repeat. I watched it at least a hundred times and never got tired of it.
easily the COOLEST Vampire film of ALL TIME and a Classic. BUT... not my Fav Vamp film.
FRIGHT NIGHT is 1st😉
Absolutely 💯 as well as fright night

The movie was great and so was the music. I watched this movie over and over.
One of the best songs to ever exist. ❤️💙
I remember playing this one summer night, driving with the windows down when I was in my 40's.
I can't believe I'm almost 70. I don't mind looking young, as long as I die at a normal age.
I was 12 when I watched this movie, lol I'm 46 now and still love it
I have looked young for a long time. Amazing what keeping out of the sun will do.

Great song/movie! Takes me back to the best decade ever: the 80's!!!
I'm in my 50's and I made my adult kids sit and watch this movie with the statement "This was the original teen vampire movie before teen vampire movies were even a thing"...and they loved every minute of it. Even heard my old man whistling along to this back in the day. :)
I love that this song is both ominous but sexy at the same time.
Dam this brings back memories, great movie great music!!!
Yes you're so right 🌄🤔👍
I would love to go back to the 80's.........I'm on that train!! ❤
You said train. Lmfao
Mazzy USA
This brings me back to a simpler time in my life. I remember seeing this movie in the theater. The 80s were great.
2024 and still listen this marvelous track
Everyone here that appreciates and understands this greatness, you are my people.
Hands down one of the sexiest vamp movies . The sound track to this movie was fantastic as well.
Hearing this song is so damn nastalgic and now I'm gonna watch the Lost boys again
This song always gets me. Long live the 80’s!!
It’s so magnificent how a song can instantly transport you back in time to the year/month/day/hour you fell in love with said song....this iconic song takes me back to first time I saw The Lost Boys in the theater as a teenager, good times...thank you so much for remastering this truly great timeless song 🙏🏻

This was so cool. I saw this again last year and it brought a smile to my face. The 80's had such great music and such beautiful actors and actresses.

I detached from family because of herion addiction when this movie and song came out. Though the nightmare is over I still connect with it greatly
To my GenX brothers and sisters...how lucky are we? Gratitude for it all....
The 80s and 90s we're the best. So glad I grew in an era when phones, social media didn't exist! When kids were kids, were allowed to grow up without being told they need to be confused about what they. Been going down hill steadily since 2010!
This movie was so dark, spooky and funny it will always be remembered and enjoyed.
Definitely one of my favorite movie sound tracks of my youth. Thank you for this awesome remastered version!!
As I go down my 80's rabbit hole this is the soundtrack I hear in my head

I was working in an old school video store when this was released. To this day it is still one of my favourite cult classics from the 80's. Time to watch it again I think.
This movie makes ya want to be a Vampire! 80s were Awesome! Used to play this sound track on my Alpine stero in my 78 Trans Am. Loved the 80s. Now a old fart wishing to go back to those days. Shalom!
I probably listened to that soundtrack a few thousand times back in the day.
Great job on the remaster. You nailed it. 👍👍
There will never be another era like the 80s in the USA. Man what a time to be alive. I was just a kid but things were so much better then. Movies. Music. Relationships. Friendships. Everything.
I can remember blasting this song on my old Pioneer Stereo rack system with the 2 1/2 foot speakers....on repeat....
The club version of this choon was awesome too, 💜☀️

The best decade in my opinion! For movies and music no other decade comes close. Even the celebrities shined brighter than they do today. They were from another plane of existence…so amazing the talent

This song still gives me goosebumps. Great video.
