Born in 1991, Child of the 90s and early 2000s. I had Batman Forever on VHS 📼 as a kid. Although the first live action superhero movie I saw in theaters was the first Spider-Man movie by Sam Raimi. Good times.
only cuz i bitched about it on the other shitty version with Batman Dark Knight clips, lol. But yeah I'm totally satisfied, what's crazy is what brought me to this song again, was the last 6 seconds of this song just randomly played in my head tonight. Apparently they unlocked all the original videos from several post'ers. Even the original one posted 13 years ago is accessible now, but they weren't recently, none of them were
Thing is, this riff is composed out of 6 notes that are chromatic (each note is directly next to each other) and it’s shouldn’t work in theory, but it sounds absolutely killer and creates the iconic mood of the song we all love!
@@HaevyGlowI don't think it's chromatic. You would hear the sharps and flats. A riff that is chromatic would be wake up by rage against the machines main riff and then Kashmir by Zep. I may be wrong.
So you get why when i was a teen at that time i was obsessed with this movie even before watching it...The music was perfect, the Animated comics vibes+ using the best parts of the movie...the guitar and the orchestra...plus watch Seal's Kiss from a rose... These two videos alone portray a much better movie than it actually is...
Never knew until all these years later there was a fucking video for this song. I can’t count how many times I played this and the soundtrack as a 10 year old. Man I miss these days!
I'm surpised U2 allowed UA-cam to post this. Everytime I would look up this song it was always either chopped up and over edited, in some kinda dumb way or not available. Awesome that it showed up on my suggestions.
I loved the movie and soundtrack since my childhood, when I was 8 years old. Brings me back memories I don't care what anyone said about Batman forever it was great, and the action was worth it. At 2:33 that moan there LOL! this is one of my favorite songs to the soundtrack along with kiss from a rose, and Brandy where are you now, it's 2020 still listening to all the songs from the 90's during quarantine.
One of the best soundtracks ive ever heard from start to finish. I bought this on cassette from walmart when this movie first came out in 95. Only other soundtrack that tops this was the original Batman that Prince did...damn im getting old
When this just came out. Wauw. It was bat mania al over again everywhere you go everywhere you would look. All you wold ser was the riddler logo and the bat sign in green neon color. And the movie. ROCKED. We got our first glimps and action of the dynamic duo. Mann this sing brings me back. And tears of joy are roling down my face right now re livingg these memories in my head again
Absolutely magnificent. I used to listen to tape of this at night repeatedly before I went to sleep. The Marc Bolan influences are clear both in the guitars and Bono's squeals and moans.
this is the only batman movie i liked. absolutely perfect in all even small little aspects. totally underrated. this movie is written far better than some people think. there was a LOT of effort putted in to making this movie that's one of the reasons why it shines so well.
Soundtracks like this played on TV on top of the pops in the 90s just one week before releasing the movie was a big advertising tool… i miss the sweetness of this era
Batman Forever is one of those movies that i remember liking a lot when i was a kid, and that overall i have very positive memories of, but im sure that if i saw it today i would be like "what the hell is this?"
Major problem with this film was its "uneven-ness". Burton was still involved, so you got his dark vision of Batman, but Schumacher directed, and he was (obviously) more influenced by the 60s Campy Batman. The two styles clash big time.
Está fue la primera película de Batman que fui a verla al cine, fui con mí papá que ya falleció,por este motivo y porque amo Batman siempre tendrá un lugar especial en mí corazón está película 💗
As South Park has taught us, Bono is a giant T*rd, but this was a great theme. The Edge (who I do like) also wrote the orig theme for The Batman (toon series).
This was the moment, high tide for Bono and U2.. featuring on a summer blockbuster soundtrack like batman. And as the audiences let out of theatres the wave crashed back and its been low tide for bono ever since. This was a hip tune though.
I watched this in cinema when I was 5, maybe that accounts for how I turned out later, but I still remember the experience. First time feeling like a badass walking out of a movie 🍿🎥
😂I remember when they played this song in 1995 on the radio or on MTV and I turned the sound on full and my mother went crazy and screamed at me: You bastard, turn down the volume, why doesn't the whole neighborhood have to listen to it?
Animated demon Bono is way more interesting and charismatic with four minutes than the actual movie villains with a feature runtime. Beautiful track and kudos to U2.
Nearly every U2 song on UA-cam has some guy saying "I'm not a fan of U2 but I love this song." It's crazy how many "non-fans" seem to like a lot of U2's stuff.
The theme song to the perfect Batman movie imo. In this move we got a fully functional Batcave, Batman AND Robin, and it was dark when it needed to be but not overly so. It sold toys but also told a damn good comic book story.
This is one of those songs that reminds you , that you grew up in an epic era of everything
Facts.... born in 1988.... remember all of the cool shit the 90s and 2000s had to offer....I had the Batman Forever soundtrack on cassette.

Summer of 95, I was 13 and this song and movie was everything!!!
I was 13 as well. Ahh to be a teen in the 90s. 82 baby right here!
I was also 13 years old, I'm from 1982, and I saw the movie in the cinema, I also put together his album of figures ✌
13 also 😂 incredible 82
Same. They really knew how to market back then.

Totally! I thought I was crazy but I know they had an animated videoclip for batman
Inutill perro
U2's heaviest song, loved this tune
That guitar riff on the chorus - OMG
All the riffs in this song are killer. The Edge really nailed it here!
Easy guitar riffs yet they're solid I been playing lead guitar for 26 years
Thing is, this riff is composed out of 6 notes that are chromatic (each note is directly next to each other) and it’s shouldn’t work in theory, but it sounds absolutely killer and creates the iconic mood of the song we all love!

Great song. The guitars are amazing👌👌🤗
Yeah, Edge and Bono guitar sounds are EPIC 😊

How come this music video wasn't installed in the "Batman Forever" DVD? It was a hit just like "Seal's Kiss by a Rose!"
I quit my first job to this song in the 90s. Came home and dumped my girlfriend because this song inspired me to pursue my goal as a musician.
still rocks in 2023... 28years after debuting on the chart at number Nine
This reminds me of an era where I had VHS mix tape of favorite music videos I recorded off of MTV 😄
Good old days… they will be missed😢
Give me the 70's, 80's & 90's any day - everything started going to shit after the millennium.
One of the best songs
If only the rest of U2’s music sounded like this
Listen to the album "Achtung Baby". It does sound like this.
Their 90s stuff sounds like this.
JawkneeJay: Then they would be accused of ripping off T Rex.
The joshua tree great album too

I guess U2 now realise they can make more money from UA-cam than actually selling CDs 🤔
They had it on their channel at one point, but it's deleted or privated (probably because of copyright with the movie scenes)
